I'm A Celebrity - Get Me Out Of Here 2009
Gail Porter has revealed that she is hoping to star on I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here! next year.
The TV host admitted that she was jealous when she watched this year's contestants living in the Australian outback for the ITV1 reality series.
"I'd love to do that show. To me, it looks like so much fun," Porter explained. "I couldn't think of anything better than camping and facing all those challenges.
"I did an SAS-style camp holiday for Wish You Were Here...? once. It was really tough and I was told I could stay in a hotel each night if I wanted. I was like: 'Screw that, I'm staying in a tent!' It was freezing cold, I got soaked to the bone, I became ill - and I loved every second of it."
She added: "I'd be in my element in the jungle. I wouldn't even mind eating the bugs."
Former EastEnders actor Joe Swash was voted as the show's latest jungle king earlier this month.
Kara Tointon tipped for 'Celeb' stint
EastEnders star Kara Tointon is being lined up for the next series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, according to a report.
The actress, best known for her role as Walford's Dawn Swann, was axed from the BBC One soap in March this year. She will film her final scenes later this summer.
Tointon is now said to be keen to take part in ITV1's Celebrity following encouragement from her boyfriend Joe Swash, who won last year's series.
A show insider told the Daily Star: "She's already got a huge fanbase who will love to be able to watch her out of character and being herself in the jungle camp.
"Kara's known for being really sweet and game for a laugh so we think she would be perfect on the show. She's a girly girl and will no doubt struggle with all the creepy-crawlies, but most of the celebrities on the show say that to begin with."
Tointon has also been linked to the forthcoming seventh series of Strictly Come Dancing, which begins in the autumn.
Jimmy White tipped for 'I'm A Celebrity'
Snooker star Jimmy White is rumoured to have joined the lineup for this year's I'm A Celebrity....
According to The Sun, the 47-year-old sports star, who has the nickname 'The Whirlwind', will enter the Australian jungle in November.
"Jimmy is a proper character who has been around the block a few times," said a source. "He will be great value in the jungle as he tells it like it is and isn't afraid to wind people up."
White, who has an MBE, has reached six Snooker World Championship finals, but has never won the title.
Brian Blessed, Sam Fox, Chris Eubank and backpacker Jamie Neale have all been tipped to appear on the ITV1 reality show later this year.
