I love this song. Im not usually a fan of rihanna but I do love this song. I prefer the version with out jay-z.
I agree, Jay-Z ruins it. Still a very very good song though.

IMO this song is a grower. I prefer her previous songs like SOS. I agree that sometimes it sounds like her voice is straining, but lucky for her she's been lucky with the songs she's landed. :angel:
its one of those songs that i detest at first but find myself singing it all the time and then just loving it!

I hated it first, I mean a song about an umbrella??
But then a group of girls (I knew them) got on the bus and played it and started singing to it (the umbrella -ella - ella- eh - eh etc lol) while it was pouring outside and the song just clicked. I really like it now, it's just a little too over-played.
I still really hate it! But I must say I keep singing it!!!! Ah. Driving me crazy :lol:. In my college class they keep playing it! (That or hellogoodbye). It's always on the radio in work!! Just keeps getting in my poor little head :(

there was something on the RTE breakfast show this morning, when they were singing, Salminella ella ella ella, It was so funny.
I absolutely love it. sorry but I think its her best to date. Very catchy, one of my faves so far this year! She gets a lot of undeserved criticism I feel.

I was the same, Clo. I only started liking it about a week ago, and I couldn't get my head around how it had managed to be the only song at number one for as long as Gnarls Barkley - Crazy in a year. With it being so overplayed, though, I think I will tire of it before long.
