Is he gone for good? I hope not i like him just not Carly and Deano
Erm I think I read somewhere that he will return, but Im not sure when.
Kevin has to return there is still alot that needs to happen between him and the family.
i hope he returns too i like deano i just dont really like carly
I don't remember where, but I did read he comes back. Good job too; even if the kids don't want anything to do with him, what has Denise done to warrant being left?
thanks i think phil daniels is a class actor am glad his actor will be coming back
The Ferriara? family could've had some great story lines instead they made them mundane and boring. Back to Kevin, they shouldn't get rid of him so soon, or have him and Denise split up because of what Shirley did to him and her own kids.
Those kids need a good slap, Kevin didn't have to bring them up as his own; but he did and did a great job. Now this has come up they think he's the worst thing to walk this earth.
Denise doesnt deserve to be left, I hope they get them together again :D

Thank you soapyclean!!! I've been waiting for someone to say that.
I've been sat watching EE thinking wtf is the matter with Deano and Carly. Kevin brings them up as his own, is the only thing solid in their lives and when it comes to light that their mother slept around whilst married to Kevin and fell pregnant because of it, not even knowing one of their names, the kids seem to think, yup lets blame Kevin and have a go at him!!!! And now Deano is off with his mum, enjoying himself, having totally forgiven her (so it seems) for having not found out the name of his father and for abandoning him and Carly in the first place. I want to slap the pair of them!
Anyone can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a dad and it seems its only taken Kevin to do a runner (and who can blame him) for Carly at least to maybe come to some kind of sense about the man he truly is.
Em... It is just Carly that is having the strop.. Deano when of the rail when he first heard but Kevin explain that he was the one bringing them up.. that he was the closest they would every get to a proper parent so Deano was ok with that.. Carly, on the other hand, said he was a big fat liar!! so when is the right time for someone to say "hey, I am not your dad but your mum walked out and I stayed to bring you up"
Would Carly have asked him to leave then??? I think Kevin is a great guy.. Carly was just jealous cause Kevin paid more attention to Jimbo (who was his real son) but i think he got the most attention cause he was ill. He could have told them after Jimbo died but Kevin didn't.. he waited until they could stand on their own feet before he considered leaving them
Yeah - I remembered that about Deano, as they had that chat in the car lot when Deano was going to torch it didn't they.
There is no right time to tell a child that the person they thought was their father isn't their biological one. Shes like a 2 year old having a temper tantrum and strop lol
he is probably just gone away to think about things.
Everyone in the family thinks he has just run away but Carly knows the reason why he left.
I don't think Deano will be happy though
maybe I'm wrong or i may have missed something but how do we know for definate that kevin is not their father? she fell pregnant with two one night stands? and kevin stayed with her even after the first one? something doesnt tally up, and this is a soap after all, why isnt anyone asking for a dna test? Please tell me if i have missed something :searchme:
Maybe Kevin and Shirley didn't er...you know...er...so he knows that Deano and Carly couldn't be his.
Kevin seems pretty definite that they aren't his biological children - maybe they've already had dna tests done in the past (although not sure if they did routine paternity testing 20 years ago), or like parkerman said, there are other ways that Kevin and Shirley know for sure that they aren't Kevins.
To me, if Kevin had any doubts, the first thing he'd have wanted done 20 years ago were to have it confirmed that they weren't his children.
It's such a sad situation. I feel sorry for Kevin, and I feel sorry for Carly and Deano. Everythings just a mess.
I felt bad for Deano, (watching the omnibous just now), when his mum went off with some blokes, and just left Deano in the pub on his own. She's acting like a mate rather than a mother, and I don't think that's right.
Reminding me a bit of Ab Fab, although without the comedy element.
Yeah, it's no wonder that extra said, "She's old enough to be your mother, mate." Maybe at the time, Kevin always had some thought in the back of his head that they actually were his biological children, so he didn't get any tests done, but has grown to accept that they aren't his, so that's what he's saying. Or maybe he still has some hope, so was just saying that as a way of getting them to hate Shirley, but like him, and it backfired.
EastEnders actor Phil Daniels has quit the BBC soap after nearly two years.
The 47-year-old – who joined the cast as Kevin Wicks in September 2005 – has decided not to renew his contract, provoking Walford executives to axe his on-screen children, Carly and Deano (played by Kellie Shirley and Matt Di Angelo).
Diane Parish – who plays Daniels' screen wife Denise – will also make a temporary exit at the same time while she has a baby in real life.
Speaking of his decision to quit, Daniels told The Sun: "EastEnders has been an absolute pleasure, but it was always my intention, after two years in the job, to move on and do other things.
"I'd like to thank all on the Square for making my stay such fun."
Kellie, 25, commented: "It's a shame the option on my contract hasn’t been picked up, but it wouldn't feel right to remain in the Square without the rest of my family.
"I've not been able to accept work while playing Carly and I can't wait to get my teeth into others roles - but I wouldn't change a thing about my EastEnders experience."
Di Angelo, 19, added: "I've had a really good time at EastEnders and I've learnt so much from the cast."
Phil Daniels, Diane Parish, Kellie Shirley and Matt Di Angelo will continue filming with the BBC soap until November, with their characters remaining on screen until the new year. Diane, however, will return after her period of maternity leave.
Meanwhile, actress Linda Henry – who plays Kevin Wicks' ex-wife Shirley Carter – is sticking with the BBC soap as earlier this month, Bobby Davro signed to appear as Vince Monks, a new love interest for the wayward barmaid.
oh no i'm gutted, i really liked kevin wicks
yeah i like kevin too shame they are all leaving tho
Well this is just annoying! Why do actors decide just to do two years!? I mean why bother!? By the time you've got the character settled in and established them in the show, they want out, causing massize disruption for the show, and then they have to bring in more characters, which everyone takes a while to get used to. They need to hire actors that wont let their ego get the better of them.
There's no need to axe Carly and Deano if you ask me, they could easily remain on the show without Kevin, okay Deano is a bit of an idiot, but I like Carly's character, I'm gutted that she will be leaving.
The Wicks were one of my favourites! :thumbsdow
I don't see Diane returning after her maternity leave as her family will all be written out. Charley and Deno are both adults and could have remained on the square so I don't see there is a need to axe them. Maybe the writers think they have run out or stories lines for them.
To be fair, i think the Wicks family have been totally wasted on EE. In there 2 years on the show, i can't really think of anything that they've done that really stands out and goes down as an EE classic! The producers have wasted their characters despite me liking them as a family. They could have given them something massive to work with but it hasn't happened which is a bit of a letdown.
Just because Phil Daniels has decided to up and leave, i don't see why Carly and Deano have too as well. They should stay and maybe make amends with Shirley and live with her? If EE really wanted Carly and Deano to stay, they could make it happen!
Exactly. Maybe Deano would go as he hasn't really had anything to do with Shirley since the Polish builder was staying at her flat and making it into a worse place to be. He also seems to be the least mature of the two, and I don't think he would be able to survive on his own for very long. As for Carly; it would be good to see Shirley try to get her back on side as Carly did push her out into the road in front of Charlie's cab. I can't see Carly and Deano going off to the same place though unless Carly fails to find out what him and Chelsea have been up to.
I definitely agree that they could stay - I understood why they killed Nana Moon off when Shane Richie wanted to quit as Alfie, but this just isn't necessary.
I don't see why they've bothered to keep Denise and none of the kids - they will probably have to split her and Kevin up with her returning after her maternity leave, and so there's hardly a reason for her to fight with Shirley. She doesn't have the kids to look after, and if Deano goes terrified of Sean or something, why would Chelsea want to stick around?
I think Deano and Carly could stay on the Square anyway maybe with Pat. I liked Kevin and Denise its a shame they are leaving. I can't see how Denise can return. I really hope Chelesa and Squiggle are axed they are awful characters.
its a shame, I loved Phil Daniels in Eastenders but cant say I'll miss Deano. Hope Diane Parish will return though, still I think it wont be quite the same Denise without Kevin.
Good riddance. Can't stand them. An insult to the great Pat, and to Simon and David.
I'm sorry he is leaving. But fortunately Diane is staying I like her and I like Shirely. Carly could have stayed as well, and they introduced Deano well before Kevin came on board.
I'm pleased they are leaving. I don't think they ever really worked and I think they are one of the two weak families right now (the Millers being the other ones).
Plus Pat deserves so much better and I would rather see her have storylines in her own right than being stuck with this lot in the background. Am very pleased Shirley and Denise are staying as I like them and thought Denise worked better without the Wicks'.
ohh its sad to see them leave after we just got used to them
and sean and carly look great together
does anyone know what their exiting storyline is?
Please do not use text talk - luna
Where next for Denise!!? :(
If you read the article, it's a Fox cub. :)
It's a shame Kevin's leaving. But I don't think/understand why they should axe Carly and Deano. They're now going to have to bring in a load of new characters....
Also, if Denise is leaving for a bit, what's going to happen to Libby and Chelsea?
Maybe Chelsea decides it's about time that she stopped going wherever her Mum does, with her moving to Walford initially purely because Denise wanted to get away from Owen. I can't see them all taking a holiday for the duration of a maternity leave, unless it was to see Libby's gran; depending on whether or not she'd ceased contacting Owen. If Chelsea decided not to leave with Denise for a time, Libby might stay with Chelsea as she is 16 and has Darren, her mates and A Levels in Walford. (I'm guessing she will have started them by then.)
I think that Sean may have something to do with their exit maybe he actually will kill one of them.
Just read this on the Digital Spy Forums:
EASTENDERS will screen its most gruesome death yet when Kevin Wicks gets killed in a car smash on New Year’s Eve.
So yet again, the soap’s writers are bringing us sack loads of doom and gloom during the festive season.
Last year Pauline Fowler died on Christmas Day.
Kevin, played by Phil Daniels, will be driving one of Phil Mitchell’s bent motors.
The car will career through Albert Square when a fault causes a crash.
In the accident, the car is flipped into the air and lands on its roof, impaling Kevin through the chest with a piece of wreckage.
And just to make sure Kev really is finished off, the death-trap vehicle then explodes in a ball of flames.
Kevin is caught up in Phil’s shady deals while trying to raise the cash to take son Deano on a round-the-world trip when he comes out of jail.
Phil (Steve McFadden) has blackmailed him by threatening to stop him renting the car lot unless he takes part in the dodgy car scam.
We told last August how actor Phil, 49, was quitting.
His decision prompted EastEnders chiefs to also axe Kevin’s kids, played by Kellie Shirley and Matt Di Angelo.
Kevin’s missus Denise is also set to vanish from screens because the actress who plays her, Diane Parish, is pregnant.
A source said: “Kevin’s death will be the horrid highlight of New Year’s Eve.”
Ouch!!!
I suppose the only saving grace is that I won't be eating my Xmas dinner when this happens...
All the soaps around christmas and new year want to depress us all  :p Poor Kevin!
