Next week on Neighbours, Nell Rebecchi decides that it's time to bow out from Erinsborough and heads off to live with her dad Toadie in Colac. The emotional scenes come as a handful of characters continue to bow out from the show ahead of the final episode in December.

Elsewhere, Remi Varga-Murphy gives her estranged wife Cara her blessing to move on with her life, and Sadie Rodwell faces a big decision over her love interest Taye Obasi.

Neighbours spoilers follow for the episode airing on Monday 8 September.

1. Andrew and Holly's passion is reignited

Neighbours lovers Andrew Rodwell and Holly Hoyland make a scandalous new decision next week ? agreeing that their secret affair isn't over.

Despite making repeated promises to Aaron Brennan before he left Erinsborough, the cheating pair realise that they can't bear to be away from each other.

Giving into their feelings after a few days apart, Andrew and Holly passionately make up for lost time.

Andrew even goes back on a promise to help out his wife Wendy and daughter Sadie at a jumble sale for the Sonya Rebecchi Foundation ? desperate to be with Holly instead.

"Although Andrew is filled with guilt, he realises that he's not prepared to let Holly go," our Neighbours insider explains.

"Holly also starts putting distance between herself and Sadie ? feeling awkward about being her best friend's confidante in light of everything else that's going on."

Although Andrew and Holly are enjoying the moment, there's also a sense that they need to start making some firm decisions sooner rather than later.

As neither are free agents, they make plans to figure out exactly what their feelings will mean for their future. Holly even has the perfect hide-out in mind for them to spend time together?

2. Nicolette confesses her feelings for Cara

Cara Varga-Murphy falls out with Nicolette Stone, who has been giving mixed messages after reigniting her fling with Cara's cousin Maddy.

No-nonsense Cara accuses Nicolette of messing Maddy around. Nicolette is pushed into finally being honest ? admitting that she's not interested in Maddy, as Cara is the person she has feelings for.

3. Remi wonders if Cara should move on

Cara and Nicolette manage to clear the air after the confusion over where they stand. Cara's estranged wife Remi is surprised to stumble across the pair warmly hugging at the caf?.

Not wanting to hold Cara back, Remi points out that her memory and feelings are still in limbo. She suggests that Cara should start to date other people if that's what she really wants ? but is it?

4. Cara vs the Linwells

Cara is pleased when her boss at the police station gives her the go-ahead to investigate her theories over dodgy Ricky and his potential connection to the Linwell brothers.

Andrew is appointed to be Cara's back-up as she does some digging, although Cara doesn't tell Remi that she could be taking on the Linwells once again.

5. Nell announces that she's leaving

Nell Rebecchi worries when the jumble sale for the Foundation gets off to a slow start. Wendy steps in to help, suggesting that the neighbours should dress up in items from the sale to show them off better.

Later, despite a successful event, Nell still doesn't seem like her usual self. She confides in her dad Toadie about how she's had various issues bothering her lately ? not just her split from JJ Varga-Murphy.

Nell ends up gathering Terese, Karl and Susan together to share the news that she'll be going to live with her father in Colac.

6. Taye and Sadie move forward

Taye Obasi reaches a turning point with Sadie Rodwell when he realises that she came to the jumble sale because she knew he would be there.

It's clear that Sadie may want something more serious after all, so they decide to become exclusive but take things slowly.

Sadie then turns to Holly for advice, but is surprised when her distracted friend has nothing to say...

1. Cara's major discovery spells trouble

Neighbours cop Cara Varga-Murphy finds herself trapped next week as her new investigation places her in terrible danger.

As Cara chases a lead to prove her theory over the Linwell brothers, she could be biting off more than she can chew by heading off alone.

Before things take a frightening turn, Cara updates her estranged wife Remi on dodgy Ricky ? the guy she believes is associated with the Linwells.

Later, Cara's digging continues when she finds out that one of the warehouses where recent thefts were reported was leased to the Linwells a few years ago.

"This seems to prove that Cara is on the right track," our Neighbours source points out. "Sadly, she faces a tough time convincing her colleague Andrew Rodwell that this is worth investigating.

"Andrew, who's distracted by his affair with Holly, insists that it's no big deal and the property isn't worth checking out. Cara still believes otherwise, so takes some important advice from Nicolette Stone ? she should trust her gut on this one."

When Cara arrives at the warehouse, she's shocked to find a stash of weapons hidden inside.

She hopes to call her findings into the station, but before she gets a chance, the warehouse door locks and slams shut. Cara seems to be a sitting duck ? trapped, alone and in very real danger?

2. Nell's plans are revealed to JJ

Nell Rebecchi struggles to find the right moment to tell her ex-boyfriend JJ Varga-Murphy that she's planning to leave Erinsborough. JJ is stubbornly ignoring Nell after their break-up, leaving her with no opportunity to share her news.

Later, at school, Jane Harris accidentally mentions Nell's departure plans in front of JJ, which lets the cat out of the bag. The heartbroken teen takes out his frustration on a sculpture that he's working on for one of his classes.

Max Ramsay tries to offer some advice, but JJ insists that it's not relevant. As far as he's concerned, Max still has a girlfriend and simply can't relate?

3. Nell calls off her own leaving party

When Nell finally catches up with JJ, he lets his emotions get the better of him with an uncharacteristic outburst.

Nell had hoped to invite JJ to her leaving barbecue, but after seeing how much he's struggling, she decides it's a better idea to call it off altogether.

4. Andrew and Holly consider their future

With the affair back on, Andrew Rodwell and Holly Hoyland sneak off to spend time in the city together. Holly suggests a fun approach of getting to know each other like they're single and have never met before.

This approach doesn't work out as well as Holly had hoped for, as they keep being reminded of the reality of their situation. Andrew and Holly finally agree that they want to be together, but it'll take time to un-complicate matters since neither of them are single...

YES YES YES to HOLAND happy ever after !!! Lol

1. Holly dumps Max

Neighbours airs a major change for the show's scandalous affair storyline next week, as love cheat Holly Hoyland spontaneously dumps Max Ramsay.

Holly searches for any excuse to end her relationship with Max, as she looks ahead to a longer-term future with married man Andrew Rodwell.

Upcoming episodes see Holly and Andrew reignite their secret romance, despite promising Aaron Brennan that they'd stay away from each other.

They finally agree that they want to be together properly, but as neither of them are free agents, they know that they'll have to tread carefully.

"Andrew wants to take his time before blowing up his stable family life with his wife Wendy and daughter Sadie," our Neighbours insider explains.

"But Holly seems eager to move more quickly, as she feels terrible over the cruel way she's treating Max.

"When Holly loses an expensive earring that Max bought for her, the perfect opportunity arises to manufacture some tension ? and ultimately create an excuse to break up."

Max is visibly frustrated when Holly mentions that she lost the pricey piece of jewellery.

Holly immediately jumps on his negative reaction ? and turns the tables by questioning why he bought something that he obviously couldn't afford.

"Max is flabbergasted as Holly suddenly declares that he doesn't make good decisions and they need to break up," our source adds.

"Her sudden change in mood seems to make no sense, but she's clutching at straws to end the relationship under false pretences."

Will Max figure out that there's more to the split than meets the eye?

2. Cara makes a breakthrough

Trapped in a warehouse while on police duty, Cara Varga-Murphy is forced to hide when dodgy Ricky Denham walks in.

Unaware that Cara is there, Ricky makes a suspicious phone call referencing a "man on the inside" and dealing with "government".

Andrew Rodwell arrives to rescue Cara and warns her not to arrest Ricky yet. They don't have an official warrant to search the warehouse, where guns are being stashed by Ricky, and need to handle the investigation correctly.

Later, Cara reports back to the Senior Sergeant and is recognised for stumbling across something big ? despite her messy approach so far.

3. Sadie makes a discovery

Wendy Rodwell buys herself some sexy underwear to liven things up in the bedroom with Andrew. This follows a failed attempt to sleep together a few days earlier.

A guilty Andrew tries to embrace Wendy's advances, but ultimately experiences another failure in the bedroom. Misreading the situation, Wendy suggests that work stress must be to blame.

The next day, Sadie accidentally finds Wendy's research on erectile dysfunction, as well as the lingerie she bought.

Sadie then inadvertently tells her boyfriend Taye Obasi what's going on, but Wendy swears them both to secrecy as she doesn't want Andrew to feel embarrassed.

It will be a really bold move of the show to have Andrew leave his family for Holly. I hope they do it and not just have him crawling back when the affair is uncovered.

I honestly don’t think he and Wendy belong together anymore and I think this thing with Holly is just the catalyst for him realising that. Even if he and Holly don’t end up together, I hope the show ends with Andrew and Wendy going their separate ways.

ANDREW & WENDY were never an ideal couple! HOLAND are way more interesting together. Would love writers to end the show with these two as a couple!

As the pair realise that they want to be together on a long-term basis, they're forced to consider practical concerns over where they'll live following the inevitable backlash.

These important discussions play out after Holly makes the spontaneous decision to dump her boyfriend Max Ramsay.

Max, Sadie Rodwell and Taye Obasi are all baffled over Holly's choice to end things based on a flimsy excuse. When Sadie tells her dad what's going on, things threaten to turn even messier...

"Andrew isn't happy over how Holly has handled the situation," our Neighbours insider explains. "This is exactly the situation he'd hoped to avoid ? lots of drama and awkward questions.

"Holly insists that she's done the right thing, though, admitting that it was impossible to continue the relationship with Max because of how guilty she felt."

As Andrew is forced to accept Holly's reasoning, he starts to ponder over how much more difficult it'll be for him to end things with his wife Wendy.

Andrew knows that it'll be impossible to continue living in Erinsborough due to the rows and recriminations that are sure to follow.

Instead, he and Holly agree to leave town together once their relationship is public. How long will it take for Andrew to find the right moment to break Wendy's heart?

2. Nell's last day in Erinsborough

Nell Rebecchi is also preparing to leave town, as she has decided to go to live with her dad Toadie in Colac. However, she's adamant that she doesn't want a leaving party because of how upset her ex-boyfriend JJ Varga-Murphy is.

JJ's younger brother Dex shares some wise words with him, suggesting that it's not a good idea to leave things with Nell on such a sour note.

Realising that Dex is right, JJ organises a last-minute leaving party for Nell so that she can leave the Street on a high. Before they're parted one last time, JJ and Nell agree that they'll always be friends.

3. Wendy gets an important new role

Before Nell leaves, she also takes steps to make sure that the Sonya Rebecchi Foundation will be looked after well in her absence.

She arranges for Wendy to be custodian, confident that she'll do a great job after her strong efforts with the Foundation's recent jumble sale.

4. Terese and Elle face a major challenge

Elle Robinson admits to her brother Leo Tanaka that she still hasn't accepted their father Paul's relationship with Terese Willis. When Leo tips off Terese that Elle feels this way, there's another row between the two women.

Elle decides to move out of Number 22 as she can't bear the tension, but Terese resolves to be the bigger person and asks her to stay for Paul's sake.

Shortly afterwards, Paul is invited to take another trip to New York City as Andrew's baby has just been born. Can Terese and Elle cope under the same roof alone?

Yeah, I don’t see he and Holly leaving town together. It’d be good if they did, but I reckon the show will want to give the Rodwells a happy ending, so they’ll find a way to reunite Andrew and Wendy because cheaters never prosper in soaps.

The bolder choice will have them going through with it, but with the finale coming up, I can’t see them leaving the Rodwells split up, unless in the next couple of months, they give Wendy a really good ending that’s separate to Andrew but also allows for a hopeful, if not happy, ending for them all. Andrew actually taking action would mean giving him a bsckbone which I’d like to see and hopefully they do that.

Just my random thoughts. I really am enjoying this storyline in a way I haven’t enjoyed Neighbours in a while.
