Emmerdale has announced plans for Belle Dingle and Tom King to have a major Valentine's Day storyline.
The couple will set a date of February 14 for their wedding after a surprise proposal in the coming weeks.
News of Belle and Tom growing closer is sure to concern Emmerdale fans, after an upsetting flashback saw their relationship take a dark turn last month.
Speaking to Digital Spy and other media at an Emmerdale press event this week, show producer Laura Shaw explained: "Belle and Tom are going to move on in their relationship.
"I think we've already hinted a little bit that there may be more going on in their relationship, but what we will see is them building their relationship.
"Wedding bells come in on Valentine's Day, of course, because we're a soap so we have to do weddings on Valentine's Day.
"But is it going to be their happy ever after? We'll have to see."
Last month's flashback saw Tom become irrational and angry when Belle rejected his marriage proposal.
The scenes culminated in Tom shockingly pushing Belle to the ground, which left her bleeding as she hit her head.
When Tom apologised, Belle chose not to tell her family what had happened between them.
The couple agreed to move on and forget the nasty incident, although Emmerdale viewers have speculated that the scenes marked the beginning of an important issue-based storyline.
Emmerdale to bring back mystery character in January 2024

Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw has confirmed that a mystery character will be returning to the soap in the new year.
The boss spoke to Digital Spy and other media at a press event for the ITV soap, teasing that a familiar face will make their way back to the Dales in January.
?We?ve got a familiar face returning in the new year,? Shaw teased.
"This person comes back to help one of our villagers who?s in a little bit of trouble. We?ll leave you to guess who the familiar face might be coming back in January..."
There are some theories floating around about exactly who the returning star could be, with both Michelle Hardwick and Laura Norton due to reprise their roles as Vanessa Woodfield and Kerry Wyatt respectively after going on maternity leave.
But while we'll have to wait and see who's coming back, Shaw teased plenty more action in the Dales in the upcoming weeks.
As we know, Chas Dingle is set to be at the heart of the drama over the festive season and into 2024.
?There?s a huge story coming up for Chas in the new year that?s going to be shocking for all her family and friends and villagers around her,? teased the producer, who joined the soap in 2018.
?We know that her and Aaron have got quite a strained relationship at the moment and he's really pushing his mum away. This could be the story that maybe brings those two back together and bonds mother and son again.
"That?s all for us to find out in the new year.?

Speaking earlier this year, Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw commented: "Heading up to Christmas, we've got some exciting plans but I have absolutely, definitely been sworn to secrecy on this one!
"What I can tell you is that, in the last couple of years, we've done a light, fluffier Christmas for Emmerdale, but this one is quite different in tone.
"A lot of it is edgier for us for Christmas. I can tell you that definitely not every one of our villagers will be sat down eating their turkey with all the trimmings on Christmas Day."
Storylines that have been promoted so far have included the arrival of Chloe Harris' father and Tracy Metcalfe and Caleb Miligan being caught out over their affair on Christmas Day.
Emmerdale warns of possible death in new accident storyline

Emmerdale has confirmed that another major accident will rock the village.
The life of one resident will hang in the balance this spring, marking the beginning of a big storyline for two families.
Show producer Laura Shaw (pictured below) announced the news to Digital Spy and other media at an Emmerdale press event this week, although the identities of those involved are being kept secret for now.
Shaw explained: "We're going to see an accident happen that's going to affect two big family groups.
"It's going to connect those two family groups together, and we're going to see somebody in very serious medical jeopardy."
She continued: "Whether they live or die, we will have to see.
"What I can tell you is that the ripples and repercussions from that accident will be very long-lasting and life-changing for a number of our villagers."
Emmerdale has already aired one tragic accident this year, as Heath Hope was killed off in a dramatic New Year car crash plot.
That storyline saw the Hope and King families take centre stage following the eventual revelation that Nicola and Jimmy's daughter Angelica was driving at the time of the crash.
Angelica recently took a break from screens, as she was sentenced to eight months in a Secure Children's Home.
With the new accident plot likely to focus on different families, Emmerdale fans will have to stay tuned for more details on who's involved and who will be in danger.
Emmerdale confirms Tom and Belle conclusion
Emmerdale has confirmed it will conclude Belle Dingle and Tom King's coercive control storyline with a special episode.
Throughout this year, viewers have watched Belle desperately trying to escape from her cruel husband's emotional and physical abuse.
Belle has recently taken a break from the village to seek mental health treatment at the same time as more of the Emmerdale villagers suspect Tom may be lying about his innocence.
The soap has now confirmed that a one-hour episode airing this December will wrap up the storyline, following Belle's decision to report Tom to the police.
Shaw promised fans that Belle would get "some sort of closure" in this gripping hour since the "Emmerdale audience always look forward to our villains getting their comeuppance".
"We don't want to spoil the outcome of this story and reveal what will happen to Tom, but needless to say, Belle's going to be in a much better place by this Christmas," Shaw said.
