daisy finds a lump, is it cancer and how will daniel take the news after sinead?
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/cor...-health-scare/
Coronation Street's Daisy Midgeley feels badly let down by her boyfriend Daniel Osbourne later this month.
Daisy feels unsupported by Daniel when he reacts badly to the news that she is going through a potential health scare.
In upcoming scenes, Daisy confides in Jenny Connor and explains that she has found a lump in her breast.
Jenny encourages Daisy to speak to Daniel about it. When she does, Daniel promises that he'll accompany her to the doctors.
Although Daniel is trying his best to be supportive, he's plagued by anxiety as he recalls the tragedy of his late wife Sinead passing away after being diagnosed with cervical cancer.
Daniel arranges to meet Daisy at the medical centre for her appointment later on. Daisy waits expectantly, but Daniel changes his mind and drowns his sorrows at the Rovers Return instead.
Jenny is horrified when she realises that Daniel has let Daisy down by burying his head in the sand.
With the other punters confused over what's going on, Daniel announces that Daisy might have cancer and then staggers out.
Daniel's brother Peter Barlow steps in by advising him that alcohol isn't the answer and Daisy needs his support.
By this point, Daisy is attending her appointment alone ? but how will she react when Daniel staggers in drunk?
Last month, Coronation Street bosses confirmed that Daisy and Daniel will be taking centre stage in this year's Christmas episodes.
A teaser released by the show said: "Full of the Christmas spirit, Daniel plans to make an honest woman of Daisy. Having got the okay from Jenny and the support of dad Ken, Daniel plans his romantic proposal.
"But when a burglary at the Barlows means the ring he intended to use is stolen will any possible engagement be put on ice?"
Earlier this week, it was also revealed that Corrie bosses have cast Amy Robbins as Daisy's mother Christine, who'll make her first appearance next year.
As reported by The Mirror, Justin?s depravity will stoop to a new low as he throws acid at Daisy in The Rovers
Deary me, that is not coronation street, I love the character of Daisy, not sure they should be going this far with this storyline. If they are not careful they will take the most miserable and depressing soap title off EastEnders.

Coronation Street is set to embark on a storyline involving an acid attack against Daisy Midgeley.
Daisy has been the subject of a scary stalking campaign by Justin, but things will escalate in dramatic scenes airing next week.
On Daisy's wedding day, as she's set to leave the pub with stand-in chauffeur Ryan Connor, they are both horrified to find Justin lurking in the shadows of the pub.
Justin, holding a glass full of clear liquid, advances on Daisy and throws acid at her.
On the importance of tackling this storyline, Coronation Street producer Iain MacLeod said he wanted to shed some light on the impact this kind of attack can have on the victim.
"We were keen to show the long-term reality for people who are subjected to this kind of attack," he said.
"It is something we might often read about in the papers but perhaps don't fully understand, in terms of the depth and variety of effects it can have.
"As well as the medical impacts, we explore the social fallout of having your appearance profoundly changed, both in terms of your own ability to process that and how the wider world reacts to you. The story will at times be heartbreaking, but we felt it was an important one to tell."
Charlotte Jordan who plays Daisy added: "When I was first told about this storyline, I really didn't see this coming. It's not something you see a lot on television, so I was really surprised."

Well it seems that ever so slightly pregnant Daisy Midgely is to quit Corrie and leaves in an "Explosive" storyline.
She is to leave Weatherfield in early summer according to The Sun
My betting is that she runs off with PC Tinker who is also leaving Weatherfield. I assume he is leaving to take up his post as Commissioner of The Metropolitan Police in London.
The clearout continues on Corrie

Coronation Street star Charlotte Jordan has announced her departure from the soap.
The actor, best known for playing Rovers Return barmaid Daisy Midgeley, confirmed her exit in a statement (via The Mirror).
"My time at Coronation Street is something I?ll always cherish," she said. "After a brilliant four years for Daisy, it?s time for me to start a new chapter and explore other opportunities.
"It?s been a privilege to be part of a wonderful institution with even more wonderful colleagues who have taught me so much."
Jordan joined the soap in November 2020, introduced as Jenny Connor's stepdaughter.
In 2023, the actor won a British Soap Award for Best Dramatic Performance after her character became the victim of a wedding-day acid attack by Justin Rutherford (Andrew Still).
Currently, Daisy is embroiled in a dramatic new pregnancy storyline, with the barmaid unsure if her baby's father is Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) or Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard).
Jordan's exit follows amid several over Coronation Street departures, including Colson Smith, who announced on social media this week he was leaving the cobbles after 14 years as Craig Tinker.
"Autumn last year, I was told that Craig Tinker's time on the Cobbles is to come to [an] end in 2025," he wrote in a post that included a photo of him in costume as Craig. "I?ve LOVED every single second of my 14-year stay as a resident on the GREATEST street in the world."
January also saw Corrie legend Sue Cleaver confirm her departure after 25 years in the role of Eileen Grimshaw. The actor explained she was ready to "embrace change", with her final scenes set to air this Spring.
Actor Luca Toolan's last appearance as Mason Radcliffe also aired this week, following a year on the soap. His character died after being stabbed by his brothers Matty and Logan after they discovered he'd helped the police to gather evidence linking them to the death of DS Lisa Swain's wife Becky.
In new scenes that will air next week, Daisy breaks the news to her stepmum Jenny Connor that she has been offered a new job as an au pair in Paris. What will Jenny think about Daisy's potential move?
Later on, Daisy has a second bombshell to share as she reveals who her baby's father is at last. Will Daniel or Kit be revealed as the dad, and what could it mean for Daisy's future?

Coronation Street has confirmed the details of Daisy Midgeley's dramatic departure.
Next month, viewers will see Daisy bid farewell to Weatherfield, after more than four years of heartbreak, scheming and betrayal ? but she won't be going quietly.
In what promises to be an emotionally charged storyline, Daisy will be ready to embark on a new chapter on the other side of the world, leaving devastation in her wake.
Fans can get a first look at the chaos in Coronation Street's brand new promo video.
Speaking about her "bittersweet" exit, Charlotte Jordan (who plays Daisy) said: "Weatherfield has been [Daisy's] home for a while now and, early on, was giving her all the things she wanted ? family, community, stability, people to love more than she perhaps loves herself ? but it's also been the source of so much trauma for her.
"I think we've watched her slowly try to pick up the pieces since her stalking storyline, but she's ultimately realised she doesn't need to stay in a place that's caused her so much heartbreak.
"And it's just as well she's running far away to the other side of the planet, as she's left a mountain of destruction and angry people in her wake!"
The upcoming storyline will see Jenny Connor desperately pleading with her step-daughter to reconsider her decision. Meanwhile, a heartfelt conversation with Daniel Osbourne will also play a crucial role in Daisy's final moments on the street.
"It's so fractured now. And it's so sad, as we're used to seeing them so in sync," Jordan said of Daisy and Jenny's relationship. "I think Daisy's harbouring some real resentment there, especially after what Jenny said about her miscarriage and her little brother's death. She feels she's very much been backed into a corner here."
She added: "If Daniel were fully aware of what she's about to do to Jenny, he wouldn't be willing to let it slide. So it's almost like she's cutting him loose before she can see how disappointed in her he'll be."
Meanwhile, the recent return of Daisy's mum Christina Boyd brought a different side to their relationship, as the pair teamed up to seek revenge on Jenny. However, viewers will soon see their alliance crumble.
"She wants to believe Christina can change, but I think she's more mad at herself for continuing to allow Christina to hurt her ? when Daisy knows that's all she's ever done. But unfortunately for Christina, you reap what you sow, and no one can manipulate and backstab quite like our Daisy!" teased Jordan.
"As for me, I'm feeling really grateful for my years on the show and the people I've gotten to work with," the actor added. "And I can't tell you how much fun the other cast members and I had playing out this last hurrah.
"Coronation Street is a very special building, and I have loved it. And it?s just goodbye for now, not goodbye forever."

Coronation Street's Charlotte Jordan has announced a new soap role ahead of her exit as Daisy Midgeley.
The actor is due to bow out as the character later this week in scenes expected to be dramatic, with the star confirming her departure back in January.
Appearing on today's This Morning, Charlotte opened up about some of her future plans, sharing that she's looking forward to a "fresh start".
"I do feel excited, it's a fresh start. I feel like I?ve done a lot of soapy things," she said. "I?ve done the checklist. They have been really good to me and it just feels like time for a new beginning."
This Morning star Sharon Marshall then asked if she was joining BBC Radio 4's The Archers, Charlotte confirming that was true.
"Yes, I am. I am joining The Archers, which is really fun," she said, before teasing: "I start very soon, I can't say much about it, but the character will ruffle some feathers. That's what I can say."
Charlotte was also asked about a potential return to Coronation Street in the future, with the star saying: "They've been really good to me. Yeah. When I sort of said, 'I think it's time for me to go', I was fully prepared for them to sort of run me over."
The actor recently admitted that it was "bittersweet" to be saying goodbye to the cobbles, noting that Weatherfield has "been the source of so much trauma" for Daisy.
"As for me, I'm feeling really grateful for my years on the show and the people I've gotten to work with," Charlotte said.
"Producer Kate [Brooks] has been so supportive about me wanting to go back out into the audition circuit and very generous with Daisy's exit story, as she really wanted to do the character justice."
"Coronation Street is a very special building, and I have loved it. And it's just goodbye for now, not goodbye forever," she added.
