Monday 4th March 2019 - 8051

Toadie and Sonya decide to take the kids off for a seaside break, accompanied by Jade and Callum. Before they set off, Sonya has another appointment with the doctor. The news is terrible, but Sonya keeps it to herself. Chloe realises what Mel has been doing and goes to the police. The garage sale has yet to go through, and Bea hopes that her job may be safe.

Tuesday 5th March 2019 - 8052

Sonya puts on a brave face as she and Toadie set off, but it soon becomes clear that she is hiding something. She eventually admits to Toadie that the cancer has spread to her brain. They arrive at the beach house to discover that Callum has taken Nell and Hugo down to the water. Knowing that she has little time left, Sonya is desperate to see them - but the effort proves too much, and she dies in her husband's arms.

Wednesday 6th March 2019 - 8053

The community rallies around Toadie as he comes to terms with his loss. Shane wonders what to do about the secret that Sonya told him about Andrea. He confides in Dipi, but they decide that now is not the moment to disclose it. While clearing out Mel's former office, Ned comes across some papers that could spell trouble for Paul. Meanwhile, Finn wakes up from his coma.

Thursday 7th March 2019 - 8054

When Finn seems to have lost his memory and thinks it's 2007, the medics suspect that he may have retrograde amnesia. Shane, Gary, and Karl join Toadie, offering their support as he sets off to collect Nell and Hugo. Elly is distraught to receive a note from Mark, stating that he needs some time away, and has left town for a few days.

Friday 8th March 2019 - 8055

Elly receives a text from Mark, calling off their wedding. Chloe tries to comfort her, leading to a passionate encounter. Susan is suspicious of Finn's memory loss so decides to take matters into her own hands. Piper and Terese organise a celebration of International Women's Day, but Piper is concerned that her mother is sacrificing her independence in her relationship with Paul.

Wow, she dies so soon... I was expecting at least another month or two.

Reminds me in a way of how Molly died in A Country Practice. She died peacefully with her husband and daughter nearby. Neighbours have moved it to the beach. Much better then a sterile hospital

It's official, Neighbours fans – Chloe Brennan and Elly Conway are going to sleep together.

The soap has made it clear that Chloe (April Rose Pengilly) has had feelings for Elly (Jodi Anasta) for a while now, particularly after she landed a kiss on her, but up until now it has largely seemed like a pretty one-sided crush.

But a dramatic new trailer for the soap reveals that Elly feels the same way about Chloe after all, as the pair will share a night of passion together during a week of high drama.

Neighbours star April Rose Pengilly has recently teased some "shocking" storylines ahead for Chloe as well as a possible future with Elly – but considering Elly is currently engaged to Chloe's brother Mark (Scott McGregor), we'd bet things will be getting worse before 'Chelly' can have a chance at a happily ever after.

The trailer also gives us another glimpse at Sonya Rebecchi's (Eve Morey) final episodes, as she prepares to say goodbye to her husband Toadie (Ryan Moloney) after being told that her chemotherapy treatment hasn't been effective.

She promises Toadie that she won't give up on her fight for life but it looks like tragedy is set to strike for the couple as Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne) is seen crying in the trailer, saying: "She was so young, why her?"

There's also a big hint at more trouble to come for Susan, as the trailer teases the moment that Finn Kelly (Rob Mills) wakes up after weeks in a coma, having been pushed off a cliff by Susan.

Susan, Elly Conway and Bea Nilsson all have unfinished business with Finn – should they be worried?

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.

Got a feeling this is going to end badly for Chloe. Elly is probably on the rebound from Mark. Be nice if it worked out. Chelly make a cute couple.

Also chole is probably hurt after Mel and not thinking straight, otherwise I thought she would have more respect for Mark.

I really hate this storyline.

Mark and Elly had been burning away for over a year. They wrecked it by having Paige go back and forth between him and Jack.
Finally they got it on track.
They introduced Chloe and she said Elly was hot first of all, but then did nothing with that. No hints, no teases. In fact they put Chloe with a couple of guys in the meantime. No longing looks during that time. No seeds planted.
Only once Mark and Elly got engaged did it become a thing. And even then it has been so one-sided. And you look at the two together and it's nothing more than friends.
They've tried to suggest Elly is jealous of Chloe/Mel but those suspicions are going to be proven correct quite soon when the story about the garage fire is revealed.
Then Sonya is sick and understandably Mark goes a bit off the rails and all of a sudden Elly jumps into bed with Chloe.

I say 'all of a sudden' because we haven't seen how it plays out yet but so far it hasn't been built up very well. Right now it looks like this is a huge u-turn, perhaps out of grief/despair or something, and you'd think there would be absolutely no way back for Mark and Elly, and Chloe within the family. Well, I say that, but Paul/Leo and Terese/Piper (maybe) don't seem to have any issue getting along - which is another issue altogether.

Chloe should be rejecting Elly out of respect for her brother. At least initially. Not the right time, Elly not thinking properly, just upset, what about Mark etc... and then we could have them finally give in once she's sure, and have Mark catch them! haha. I guess we'll see. They haven't been very good at writing couples/relationships recently.

Are any of the characters involved leaving? Having someone outcast and leaving in shame would be a good way to write someone off the show.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t like the “chelly” storyline. She has been jealous of Mel because Chloe is her closest friend and she’s worried she’s going to lose her. I don’t think she has romantic feelings for her.

Neighbours announces all-female episode for International Women's Day
A familiar face will be directing the special instalment.

Neighbours has announced exciting plans for an all-female episode for International Women's Day.

The Australian soap also confirmed that in addition to an all-female cast, the special episode on Friday, March 8 will be written and directed by women.

Kate Kendall, who played Lauren Turner between 2013 and 2018, will be directing the instalment.

"Neighbours has been a huge part of my life and has given me the opportunity to work in front of and behind the screen," she said. "It was such an honour to direct an episode where Ramsay Street's women take front and centre."

The announcement follows news earlier this month that Emmerdale will also be doing an all-female episode for the same date.

Emmerdale boss Jane Hudson said: "We are going to have an episode that is produced by a female, directed by a female, and written by a female. The entire cast will be female including all the background artists, and we will have almost an entire female crew."

Will other soaps follow suit? We hope so!

On Ramsay Street, Elly Conway and Chloe Brennan will end up in bed together following a heart-to-heart in upcoming episodes.

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).

Shane assures Sonya that it’s wise to keep Andrea’s admission a secret from Toadie, for now at least. Aware that it could be just another of Andrea’s devious lies, Shane supports her choice to wait until after the beach.

Toadie, Sonya, Jade and the kids are excited to head off for a few days of family holiday. Jade and Callum will take the kids off early, while Sonya and Toadie attend a check-up with Sonya’s specialist. Sonya is starting to feel a little worse for wear, but rallies to stay on top of her symptoms, sure they’re merely side-effects of her treatment.

When Toadie takes a phone call, Sonya ends up meeting with the doctor alone. Afterwards, Sonya puts on a brave face and assures Toadie everything’s fine, keeping the truth of her meeting to herself. But as they head off to join their family at the beach, is Sonya telling Toadie the whole truth?

Meanwhile, a confronted Mel denies any involvement in the garage fire and plays mind games with Chloe to convince her she’s innocent. But Chloe recognises Mel’s manipulative tactics and reads them as confirmation that Mel was responsible. Remorseful, Chloe admits it to Bea and sets about making things right by sharing everything with the police.

When Chloe breaks up with Mel, Mel’s final words target Chloe’s deepest fears and leave her devastated. Elly wants to be there for her friend, but fears that getting too close to Chloe might confuse things between them, so Elly calls on Aaron to keep a close eye on his sister as she grapples with the heartbreak.

Bea hopes that these new revelations about Mel might change Lucas’s mind about selling the garage. She’s relieved but still uncertain when she learns that the sale hasn’t gone through yet and Lucas is going to wait on the final police report before deciding. Could Bea’s job be safe after all?

Shocked by Sonya’s sudden passing, Toadie returns to Erinsborough and seeks comfort from Karl and Susan. It’s all happened so quickly, and Toadie struggles to process his loss. But the Kennedys, along with Dipi and Shane, are there for him and Callum, offering all the support he could ask for.

As news travels and Sonya’s friends rally to be there for each other, Mark is shaken to his core – all his doubts about committing to a future with Elly rising to the surface again.

Shane’s number one concern is Toadie’s wellbeing, but he’s also conscious of the secret Sonya revealed to him about Andrea. Does Andrea really hold a vital clue that could lead to the real Dee? This knowledge is weighing on Shane, and he shares all with Dipi.
Together, they decide to keep the secret for now, until Toadie is in a stronger place.

Meanwhile, as he cleans out Mel’s old real estate office, Ned comes across some intriguing paperwork to do with Paul’s involvement in her nefarious schemes. He keeps what he’s learned from everyone for now – including Bea. But could Ned’s discovery lead to big trouble for Paul?

Elsewhere, in Erinsborough hospital, trouble is on the horizon when Finn Kelly finally stirs from his coma. Slowly at first, Finn’s eyes flicker open... He’s awake.

The Kennedy household is shocked to learn Finn is awake. Karl fears Finn will once again be a danger to his family, while Bea is angry and anxious that Finn may evade justice. Elly, on the other hand, is unwilling to even think about Finn, intent on staying detached from the whole thing. Susan takes comfort in being able to release her guilt over Finn's fall from the cliff.

David and the medical team assess Finn, who is confused and agitated. They're shocked to realise Finn has no memory of his recent misdeeds. In fact, he thinks it's 2007 and he's still at uni studying to become a teacher. Bea and Susan are stunned to learn Finn may be suffering from retrograde amnesia. Does this mean he’ll avoid the consequences of his crimes?

Meanwhile, Toadie wakes to an empty space beside him in bed. It takes a few seconds to remember Sonya is gone. Forging ahead, Toadie goes about his day, planning Sonya's memorial with Susan, but Shane and Susan can see he and Callum are struggling.

As Toadie prepares to return to Colac to collect Nell and Hugo, he's floored when Shane, Gary and Karl arrive to join him for the road trip. They insist Toadie doesn’t have to talk about his feelings – the men just want to there for him. Toadie's moved by the support from his brotherhood.

Elsewhere, Mark continues to grapple with his guilt over Sonya. Unsure how to help, and upset at being pushed aside, Elly turns to Chloe for reassurance. But when Mark’s anguish becomes too much, he flees Erinsborough, leaving Elly a note saying he needs some time away. Elly is distraught, worried for Mark's wellbeing and fearing how this will impact their wedding, which is only a few days away.

Elly attempts to contact Mark but gets nowhere. Wrestling with her feelings for her future sister-in-law, Chloe suggests they sit tight and wait for Mark to call, which is what he said he'll do in his note. Needing to escape the Finn drama, Elly decides to hang out with Chloe for the night as she works through her feelings about Mark taking off. However, things go from bad to worse when Elly receives a text from her fiancé. He's sorry but he can't marry Elly. The wedding is off.

Part of Elly is stunned, but another part of her isn't surprised. She thinks that Mark has been sending her these signals for weeks now and he's obviously in a bad way. Chloe settles in to comfort Elly, and their intimate conversation moves between Chloe's fear of never finding someone to love her, and Elly feeling like a failure after everything that has gone wrong in her life.

Elly truly believes it's over with Mark and she becomes emotional. Chloe comforts her, leading to Elly initiating a shockingly unexpected kiss. Instead of regretting her actions, Elly gives in to how safe and loved she feels with Chloe and things escalate quickly. Soon Chloe and Elly are in the throes of passion.

Meanwhile, Bea frets over Finn's amnesia diagnosis. She believes he's lying to avoid facing justice for his crimes. Her belief is challenged when she learns Susan once experienced retrograde amnesia. Susan encourages her niece to keep an open mind. Susan hates the idea of Finn not going to jail, but it is possible he's telling the truth about his memory loss.

Susan decides to take matters into her own hands. She plans on visiting Finn and assessing him for herself. If he's faking, Susan's confident she'll be able to catch him out.

Elsewhere, Sonya had planned to mark International Women's Day by gathering a group of women to create care packages for a local women's shelter. Terese and Piper decide to keep the idea alive as a way to honour their friend. Piper makes the rounds of the neighbourhood, not only collecting everyone's contributions for the packages, but to interview them for a special vlog celebrating unsung heroines.

The empowering interviews prompt Piper to have an honest discussion with Terese. Piper is worried her mother is losing her independence, by letting Paul dictate the terms of their relationship. Terese is taken aback by her daughter’s point of view. Is Terese losing herself in her new romance?
