here’s a terrifying situation in store for secret lovers Rana Nazir and Kate Connor as they are pulled into a terrifying robbery at the bistro and have to hit out at the intruder in Coronation Street. But will they emerge unscathed and could this be the catalyst for their hidden trysts being exposed? Michelle Connor and Robert Preston are facing mounting financial woes with their business in the wake of Robert losing everything at the casino. Robert explains his reckless actions as a reaction to his health worries and his fears over the operation. He gives her the option to leave him and says that he wouldn’t blame her if she did but she vows to stand by him. Michelle decides to take drastic action and sneakily breaks the card machine so every customer has to pay by cash – and as the till fills with money, it’s clear that she is planning something underhand to sort everything out.
Later, once the bistro is closed for the night, Kate and Rana use it as a location for a secret rendezvous but as they get passionate, they are distracted when a dark figure starts helping themselves to the contents of the packed till. As Kate confronts the thief who makes to escape, she lashes out and hits them over the head with a bottle before she and Rana escape. But who is behind the robbery and has a desperate Michelle been the one to orchestrate it? If so, she will be glad of the news that the insurance company is paying out on the robbery, which is enough of a safety blanket for Robert to promise to get his act together. But now Michelle could be hiding secrets of her own – has she committed a crime? And might Kate and Rana drop her in it if so? Or has Michelle discovered their affair and is now able to use it as leverage to protect herself? Later in the week, Michelle is offering Kate and Rana to use her flat for future secret meetings so it certainly seems like they all have a hold over one another. Yikes, talk about complicated! Robert tries to justify his actions to Michelle, saying that he was scared about the operation and he wouldn't blame her if she left him. She promises that they are in this together. When nobody is looking, Michelle then breaks the card machine and says everyone has to pay by cash.
Later, when everyone has gone, Rana and Kate have a secret rendezvous but they are interrupted by a dark figure emptying the full till. Kate smashes the intruder over the head with a bottle and the girls escape.
Meanwhile, Sinead throws a beauty products party. When Liz quizzes Sinead about her wedding plans, Sinead is evasive and Tracy senses her reluctance to get married.
Elsewhere, Fiz upsets Tyrone when she blames Ruby for an accident on the trampoline that injures Hope. Tyrone suspects that Fiz is favouring her biological daughter over Ruby.
Monday (2)
The police call at the Nazir house and question Zeedan about the break-in at the Bistro. Zeedan confirms that he was working in his food van all evening.
To his surprise, Rana steps in and makes out that she was with him, giving him a watertight alibi. Zeedan is touched.
Meanwhile, Fiz joins Liz and Beth in the back yard. Suddenly they notice smoke rising from the back yard at Number 9. Fiz is horrified to discover the trampoline on fire and immediately points the finger at Beth.
Elsewhere, how will Robert react when he finds out that the Bistro has been robbed?
Wednesday
Kevin visits Anna and breaks the news that it's over between them as he needs to put Jack first. Anna is devastated.
Later on, Anna prepares to return to prison, but spots an overcoat thrown over the back of a chair. Grabbing it, she puts it on and furtively heads towards an open door.
Meanwhile, Chesney tells Sinead that he's taking her for a romantic dinner at the Bistro. When they arrive, Chesney slips the engagement ring into Sinead's glass of champagne. Sinead is shocked whilst Daniel watches on, absolutely gutted.
Elsewhere, the insurance company agrees to process Robert's claim.
Also, Zeedan worries that he and Rana shouldn't have given the police a fake alibi, as he was perfectly innocent but now he's guilty of perjury.
Finally, Imran arrives at Number 6 and announces to Zeedan and Rana that his marriage is on the rocks.
Wednesday (2)
After seeing Phelan's look of triumph when he heard the news about Anna and quizzing him over what really happened between them, Faye has finally seen the villain's true colours.
Faye tells Seb that Phelan is a liar, but Seb remains adamant that Anna is responsible.
Meanwhile, clutching his stomach, Chesney fakes food poisoning and hurries out of the Bistro. Sinead follows him, clearly concerned. Making out he's in agony, Chesney suggests that someone might have tampered with his meal. Sinead is given food for thought.
Elsewhere, Craig arrives at Bethany's wearing his best shirt. As Craig summons all his courage to tell her how he feels, he is shocked by Bethany's reaction.
Also today, in a bid to bury the hatchet, Michelle tells Kate that she's welcome to use their flat if she wants to meet up with Rana in private.
Friday (1)
Daniel confronts Chesney and points out that he's jealous because underneath, he knows that Sinead is still in love with him.
As Daniel's harsh words hit home, how will Chesney react?
Meanwhile, as Anna lurks in the bushes on the Red Rec, she sees Craig approaching.
Elsewhere, when Fiz suggests that perhaps Ruby has inherited Kirsty's violent streak, Tyrone is incensed.
Also, Eva offers Aidan a heartfelt apology.
Finally, Leanne and Oliver return from France. Eva is thrilled to have them back, but is disappointed when Leanne announces she's looking for a flat of her own.
Friday (2)
Sinead is stunned when she finds Chesney with blood oozing out of his face and Daniel looming over him.
Later, Sinead admits that Daniel tried to kiss her and Chesney grows more paranoid than ever.
Meanwhile, when Audrey and David point out what a decent lad Craig is, Bethany is pensive.
Elsewhere, Shona gives David the keys to Roy's flat and David is shocked to find Anna hiding there.
Also, feeling Fiz blames Ruby primarily, Tyrone argues that John Stape was deranged, so Hope has dodgy genes too.
