I would just like to say thank you to everyone who voted for me as Soapboard Member of the Year. I consider it a great honour to have been given this accolade amongst such distinguished company.
I would also like to say thank you to everyone who voted, whether for me or not, as, of course, it is only a bit of fun but it is good to get involved in our annual awards ceremony and play an active part in the life of Soapboards. A special thanks to Perdy too for organising these annual awards.
The awards ceremony will be held at the West Cliff Theatre in Clacton when the main event will be a special guest appearance all the way from Gibraltar of Moonstorm performing her world famous naked dance.
I have really enjoyed looking in on this site and reading other people's opinions and views and in many ways getting to know the person behind the poster. I don't always agree with what is said, but, then that's the whole point really. Being able to express views in a friendly and non-threatening environment where we all respect each other and feel able to say what we think.
I am looking forward to another year of Soapboards and meeting you all again on here to discuss the important issues like will Winston ever get a major story line, will the Beales ever be arrested for their part in Max's imprisonment, will Shayne Ward ever learn to act and, most importantly, will we ever get rid of the bug that means unless we pass Go and collect £200 all our posts are posted twice?

I'm looking forward to the ceremony and to seeing moonstorm's naked dance. I too have a bruised "ego" ... we have had 70% of the annual rainfall over the weekend and I need to go to the sunroof to put my raincoat into the tumble dryer after every walk with the dogs, 6 times a day. Tiles are extremely slippery when wet, as I have found out ... :crying::moonie::DQuote:
