Neighbours to screen its first three-hander episode

In a Neighbours first, next month* it will screen an episode that features just three characters.

Episode #7202 will bring to a head a love triangle of two and a half years between Brad (Kip Gamblin, pictured centre), his wife Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou, right) and Lauren (Kate Kendall, left).

Series Producer, Jason Herbison, has written the episode which sees Brad decide to tell Terese some home truths.

Staged in two households on opposite sides of Ramsay Street, the action manages to encapsulate 3 of the 5 stages of grief: Denial, Anger, Bargaining -with Fear thrown in for good measure.

It even reaches a crescendo in a classic soapie-style pool dunking.

Kip Gamblin, Rebekah Elmaloglou and Kate Kendall all get to chew the scenery, rather like a play and their commitment together with the unique approach is what separates this from other episodes. Fans will doubtless look back on this as one of the more memorable stories.

This sounds like it should be a very enjoyable episode and will be a turning point in the Lauren/Brad/Therese love triangle. I wonder who'll end up in the pool? :D

Neighbours have never done an episode like this before so it's a big deal for the show - and is even written by the boss himself. I'm hoping it'll put an end to the love triangle one way or another (preferably with Brad deciding to stay with Therese).

It should be very dramatic either way. :thumbsup:

I sometimes get a bit bored of three-handers, but if it's done well it should be good - especially if we do get a conclusion to the love triangle.

I'm hoping it will be Brad who ends up in the pool.... Or maybe it will be all three? :D

yeah I think its wrong to,,,, but this is a soap - I don't like Terese, she pushes him away at every turn - I think Brad and Lauren have better chemistry - I would never condone it in real life tho....

I don't see Therese as a wet blanket at all! If anything, she's too feisty for her own good sometimes. She's not in a good place at the moment because she knows her relationship is dying, but everyone has their ups and downs (even Paul got depressed after Kate died). Hopefully, she'll go back to her usual spirited self when the love triangle's over.

Brad is being exceptionally two faced - preaching one moment to the kids etc about morals and doing the right thing .... then shuffling off to preen his ego with Lauren. As a father and a teacher, he is very good at coming across with common sense - as a man, just down right weak.

Terese has put up with an awful lot more than most women would have done (ok, its a soap) she is strong willed and very unhappy at the moment which is giving her unsound decisions. But as a woman and a mum, she runs rings around Lauren trying to keep her family together.

Brad and Lauren are playing to Paige's influences of long lost happy families that never was...... relationships built on scheming emotions will always fail in the long term.

All three of them have their failings with one thing or another.
Therese can be a misery guts, and a bit of a shrew at times....ok a lot of times lol. But saying that - she doesn`t deserve what Brad and Lauren are doing behind her back. It`s the ultimate betrayal.

Lauren is wrong to rely heavily on Brad knowing how jealous Terese gets. And to use her firstborn daughter Paige as a reason to be together is cruel - to both Terese and Paige. It`s sad that Matt died so suddenly, and I feel sorry for her for that. But she`s not exactly behaving like a grieving widow is she.

As for Brad, he just wants his cake and to eat it too. He`s absolutely gutless. If it was up to him he would sleep with both Lauren and Terese if he could get away with it. I think even if Matt had lived, he would still be sniffing around Lauren -with the pretence of using Paige as his reason why he`s with Lauren.
It`s my opinion that Matt shouldn`t have pushed Brad away when the car came towards him. There I said it!! And I`m not taking it back.

IMO Matt knew what he was doing pushing Brad away. Matt had totally stuffed up with everything.

Therese should listen to what Josh said on Friday. Her son could see exactly what was happening.

Terese and Brad were relatively happy when they first moved to Ramsay Street. They were mismatched, so she sometimes nagged because he's so laid back, but they were a normal long-time married couple who had a few niggles in their relationship.

Terese was confident and assertive, but that's been totally undermined by Brad and Lauren's attraction. I think what makes it even worse is that he denies it and makes it seem as if she's paranoid, so that further erodes her belief in herself.

Josh got the wrong end of the stick in my opinion because he's only seen one side. He couldn't possibly understand the detrimental long-term effects the feelings between Brad and Lauren have had on Terese's personality.

I'm team Terese all the way on this and think she'd be well shot of the disloyal Brad...

Terese has been justified in her paranoia over Brad and Lauren and both Brad and Lauren know her insecurities but still are too close

Lauren don't need to be around Brad and Paige needs to stop pushing them together

I think deep down Terese has had a bit of a crush on Paul Robinson for quite a while.
With Naomi on maternity leave soon, it wouldn`t surprise me if her leaving storyline was because she found Paul and Terese under the duvet together!

I've already seen all of this weeks episodes, as Fremantle Media leaked them in an article last week. some good episodes this week.

Brad is a Class A jerk and Lauren is as common as muck. I mean Brad is partly responsible for what's his name dying (Lauren's poor husband). Brad actually had the audacity to preach morals to the poor man when his are in the toilet.

Poor Therese. Brad likes to blame her for his failings but not for what he has achieved during his marriage to her. Those he takes for granted. His children, his teaching job, his wife's income.. Nope all Brad can do is feel hard done by because of his carvings and his manipulative daughter. Dope.

Terese could give Brad a little support, but no, she always seems to think her job / her life is more important than his. If she wants to save her marriage she needs to compromise. When he tries, she's not interested. She didn't consult him about Imogen and Daniel staying over, and not interested when his job is difficult.

Terese and Paul are well-suited and Naomi could be away for six months (I hope Paul doesn't cheat on her though).

It's obvious now the end game of bringing the Willises and Turners to Ramsay Street was to get Brad and Lauren back together. I wonder if Terese and Paul are end game too, and if Terese was designed from the start as an ideal partner for Paul?

Life for the Willis and Turner families will change forever, at least according to the latest Neighbours teaser trailer.

As previously reported, a special three-hander episode is being devoted to Terese, Brad and Lauren, as their ongoing love triangle plot finally reaches a dramatic conclusion.


The new footage teases the upcoming instalment, as Lauren and Brad finally give into their feelings for each other.

However, their reunion comes at a cost and they are soon forced to deal with the enormous repercussions of their actions as Terese furiously confronts them.

Terese has been more than compromising with Brad, Lauren and Paige, they all know her insecurities and paranoia and still do it :angry:

Paul and Naomi are great together but I believe Naomi sleeps with Josh again so this could lead to Paul going with Terese then as I assume Naomi is leaving for a while for the actress to have maternity leave

I also think Therese has had to put up with a lot having Brad always favour Lauren over her. It's where he stands when there are having conflicts, he literally stands by Lauren and Paige. What they do he finds understanding and admirable, yet Therese he is looking for fault. Didn't you notice Morgana O'Reilly' bump. She been hiding her bump behind objects over the last few months. She will be on screen for another 6 weeks, so you will see bigger objects used to hide her bump.

No reason to feel stupid. I don't think Morgana's bump has been particularly noticeable so far even though I knew she was pregnant. She's been carrying a clipboard in front of her in virtually every scene for a while now. :)

I do distinctly remember There's e's brother being the jerk ...and Therese not being the one with family loyalty .. as she carried it on with the realisation that he had a daughter *paige even before they knew Paige as Paige ..... I kind of like brad and Lauren .... I mean the cheating part sucks but this isn't real life ..and the drama was great
