There are a couple of small schedule changes for Emmerdale and EastEnders fans to take note of in the week commencing Monday, March 4.

On Thursday, March 7, both soaps will clash for 15 minutes again as Emmerdale will be airing an hour-long episode from 6.45pm rather than a split double bill. The change is due to football coverage.

As we reported previously, tonight's (February 21) dose of Emmerdale will also be an hour-long edition airing from 6.45pm.

Meanwhile, as fans will have seen in our spoiler section, the week commencing March 4 is a five-episode week for EastEnders. The extra episode has now been confirmed for Wednesday, March 6 at 8pm.

I know, Debbie is becoming so boring they should fix her relationship with Chas. Maybe both of them should discover that Cameron is a murder. Debbie will redeem herself in my eyes. LOL

Monday

Brenda is still determined Bob shouldn't find out about her health problems. When Bob arrives at the hospital, Brenda lies that there is nothing to worry about, but Gennie is not happy over her dishonesty. Later, Gennie is worried when she enters Brenda's room to find that she - and all of her belongings - have gone.

Back in the village, Nikhil is there when Brenda arrives back in a taxi, insisting that she doesn't need the biopsy. When Gennie arrives home, Brenda is still adamant over this. Exasperated as Brenda insists that she just wants to get on with her life, Gennie tries to talk sense into her mum. Gennie explains that she wants her to do it for Molly. Will Brenda change her mind?

Meanwhile, Cameron is struggling to control his guilt and self-hatred around Thomas as he watches him head to the back door of the pub. Thomas is at work early to tidy the cellar as Chas vents her worry about Cameron. Later, Chas covers her anger as Cameron arrives back, saying that he's been for a drive. Thomas explains to Cameron that he needs the job so he doesn't get sent home, but assures him that he'll keep out of the way of him and Chas.

Elsewhere, Paddy reluctantly agrees to help Rhona organise a surprise party for Vanessa's birthday but wishes it was her leaving do, while Laurel and Ashley are concerned for Sandy as he has not been himself lately.

Tuesday

Bob collects Brenda from the hospital, unaware of how serious things are. Gennie and Nikhil struggle to keep up the facade. At Victoria Cottage, Gennie worries because Georgia knows the truth, so she asks her to keep it quiet. In the café, Georgia tells Brenda that she knows what's going on. Georgia offers to take her back to Gennie's, adding that Bob will need to know eventually and shouldn't be kept in the dark.

Later, Bob suggests to Brenda that they should go away with the twins, and he tells her that he loves her. However, he's bewildered when she says that she doesn't want him anymore and tells him to go. As Bob leaves, Brenda starts to cry, heartbroken and scared.

Meanwhile, Sandy's new scooter has arrived, but Laurel is concerned where he keeps disappearing. Over at the hide, Sean lights the fire, but when he gets a call from Ali wanting him to return home, he and Sandy both leave without noticing they have left the fire still burning.

Soon afterwards Sandy arrives back at Tall Trees and is confronted by an angry Laurel, who suggests he is becoming forgetful. Ashley suggests that he should see a doctor, but Sandy is outraged, explaining that he is happier than he has been for years. Unbeknownst to everyone, at the hide, a burning twig drops from the stove onto Sandy's blanket...

Elsewhere, Paddy's planning for Vanessa's party ends in disaster when the fridge door is left open, Cameron stirs things with Jimmy about Thomas, while Andy reluctantly lets Kerry look after the kids when he's called to work - but Kerry is disgruntled that it's always about keeping Debbie happy.

Wednesday

Laurel tells Sandy that they owe him an apology, but he is still miffed at their accusations about him being senile. At the same time, Sean heads to the hide and is dismayed to see that it has burned to the ground. Soon afterwards, Sandy admits that he has been using Seth's hide as a getaway, and Sean has been accompanying him. However, Sandy is deflated when Sean arrives and confesses that the hide has burned down.

Later, Sandy promises Sean that Ali won't find out about the hide. Laurel, Marlon and Ashley realise just how unhappy Sandy has been. They see they've failed him when he tells them that he wants to live the rest of his years in a place of his own, suggesting moving to a retirement home.

Meanwhile, Rodney and Dan are sympathetic when Bob explains that he's blown things with Brenda by telling her that he loves her. At the same time, Brenda tells Gennie that she ended things with Bob as she doesn't even know if she has a future. She worries that Bob only loves her because of how her condition is affecting her, but Gennie thinks she should be brave and tell him the truth.

Later, Bob is hopeful when Brenda comes over. She is emotional when Bob tells her that he'll always love her no matter how the menopause makes her feel. However, he's heartbroken and baffled when she says it will never work between them and leaves.

Elsewhere, Marlon steps in to dig Paddy out of a ruined party shaped hole, Rhona is impressed with the effort Paddy has gone to but it's short lived as she realises Marlon has done most of it, Debbie is furious to discover that Kerry looked after the kids but Andy sticks up for Kerry, while Rhona falls heavily at the party when she and Vanessa are fooling around.

Thursday

Hour-long episode starting at 1845


Brenda is told she has a brain tumour
Brenda tries to put on a brave face as she heads to the hospital with Gennie for her results. The neurosurgeon tells Brenda that she has a brain tumour, but there are options for her. Brenda tries to take it all in as the neurosurgeon explains that they need to look at surgery soon. Gennie has no doubts that she should have the operation.

Soon afterwards, Gennie tells Nikhil and Georgia about her mum, worrying that she needs to make decisions quickly. However, Gennie is upset when she realises that Brenda has been looking on the internet for alternative advice and is refusing to talk to Bob. Brenda promises to tell Bob tomorrow, but Gennie is left unconvinced.

Later, Bob confronts Brenda over her attitude towards him, as he feels she is stringing him along. Bob leaves Brenda alone and in tears. Confused about what to do regarding the surgery, Brenda then visits Gennie and Nikhil. They're left worrying that she's going to back out of having the operation.


Sandy clarifies he won't live with Marlon
Meanwhile, Laurel is upset that Sandy has been on the phone to social services about sheltered housing, but Marlon doesn't think he stands a chance of getting one. Ashley and Laurel are both devastated by Sandy's harsh words as he is determined to move. Ashley promises they will do what they can to help.

Later, Ashley arranges a meeting for Sandy with the social worker. Laurel and Ashley recognise they will need to think of something as Sandy doesn't have much chance of getting in sheltered accommodation with his nice house and family. Ashley walks boldly into Sandy's meeting and lies that things are bad again between them. With his history of violence with Sandy, it sounds critical, but will Sandy allow Ashley to use these lies to move him to the top of the housing list?

Elsewhere, Cameron wants rid of Thomas and when he's late for work he hopes it could be his chance, Rhona has a sore back, Paddy feels increasingly on the sidelines due to Rhona's friendship with Vanessa, while Kerry is chuffed when Debbie asks her to have Jack for a couple of hours.

Friday

Bob is determined that things are over with him and Brenda, but Dan decides to play cupid. At home Brenda becomes tearful as she tells Gennie that she's scared of having the operation. Gennie asks Nikhil to help her mum make the right decision.

Nikhil soon prints out a list of the positives and negatives of Brenda having the surgery, and it's food for thought for Brenda as she contemplates whether she is brave enough to go through with it.

Later, Brenda is distracted as she serves Edna and finds it all too much. At home, she looks over the pros and cons chart as Dan visits, telling her that she and Bob are meant to be together and he wants her to think things over. That evening, Gennie listens as a resolute Brenda tells her that she has now made up her mind over what she is going to do…

Elsewhere, Rhona's bad back forces her to go to the doctor, Robbie knows he's being manipulated by Debbie but is still prepared to help out at the garage, Edna is unconvincing as she tells Sandy that it will be nice to get back in her home, while Thomas reluctantly agrees when Cameron suggests a clean slate.

Monday

Oh she just fell! Not that storyline happening... However it does need something happening that's explosive as seeing Brenda I'll is quite depressive :(
