It is only a matter of time I think before Alicia sleeps with David or Leyla sleeps with Justin again - it is bound to happen anyone think so
I thought they were heading this way to until David and Leyla got back together over Christmas, now I think the writers are planning on having David and Leyla gain custody of Jacob otherwise why have David forgive her so quickly, they could have dragged it out for weeks and have him get with Alicia for a bit to just for added drama, then go back to Leyla we all know they would eventually get back together the writers seem to love them together not that I'm complaining I think there one of the strongest couples on the show to be fair.
I thnk it all comes out about leyla being jacob's mum
it must do surely
Emmerdale's Natalie Anderson has revealed that Alicia Gallagher will be on the lookout for a new love interest in the coming months.
In recent episodes, Alicia discovered that her husband Justin slept with her sister Lelya and is the real father of the child they have been raising. Teasing what viewers can expect in 2011, Anderson promised that the coming year will be "really, really, really good" for the ITV soap.
"It's going to be absolutely amazing," she said. "Alicia has got some very nice things coming up for her. Obviously there is the continuation of the storyline with Jacob and Justin, her soon-to-be ex-husband.
"So there is a possibility for certain gentlemen to step into those shoes."
She added: "I'm not revealing who, but it's going to be a lovely, fantastic year for everybody."

Jacob Gallagher (Joe Warren-Plant) is caught stealing by Leyla Harding (Rokhsaneh Ghawan-Shahidi) as Alicia Gallagher (Natalie Anderson) walks in.
Alicia seems very friendly with Andy so maybe she gets with him
Yeah they went out for valentine's day just as friends. Andy and Alicia may get on great together.
Does anyone think that David might get with Amy? I think she may have a crush on him.
no way how old is amy? 15 16 davids 25 26
Yes my husband and I spotted that. I would find that an awful storyline though - Alicia and David have been through so much - can't the scriptwriters give them a break? It's not Eastenders!!
I was wondering whether sh'ed make a pass at him, he'd turn her down and then she'd make an allegation about him or something? :(
You mean Leyla and David have been through so much :)
I agree, I wish scriptwriters could think of something else than breaking couples up all the time :(
:wall: Dur yes of course I meant Leyla!
could not agree more - its becoming tedious and very lazy 'writing' - its as if they are running out of ideas..
Amy has a teenage crush on David. I don't think Davids daft enough to get involved with her. It looks like Alicia and Andy are an item now .
Would not hold my breath over David not falling for Amy's charme one time when he has had a few :(
Matthew Wolfenden has revealed that he believes his Emmerdale alter ego David Metcalfe is meant to be with girlfriend Leyla Harding, after surviving a number of dramas together.
David and Leyla, portrayed by Roxanne Ghawa-Shahidi, have faced the shop owner's infidelity and the revelation that she has a secret son, but despite their difficulties, the pair continue to remain strong as a couple.
Wolfenden told Inside Soap: "I'd say Leyla is the right woman for David but then I think about all the things she's done to him. People often say to me, 'I can't believe he's still with her'.
"David seems to be under the thumb, and Leyla gets away with cheating, stealing and having a secret son. But David has been good enough to put that to one side, so because of that I reckon she must be the right girl for him."
However, the current peacefulness between David and Leyla could be shattered by the arrival of wild child Amy. Wolfenden has praised actress Chelsea Halfpenny's portrayal of the feisty teenager.
"I haven't had to give Chelsea any advice - she's absolutely fantastic," Wolfenden explained.
"She should give me some advice. We have a ball on set together and I love working with her. Chris Chittell (Eric Pollard) and Charlie Hardwick (Val Pollard) are really loving having Chelsea around because it's freshened the whole place up."
Emmerdale star Natalie Anderson has hinted that her character Alicia Gallagher could soon be at war with sister Leyla again.
Fans have recently seen Leyla forgive Alicia for stealing from her shop, a betrayal which had sparked the latest in a long line of clashes for the fiery siblings.
Speaking to Digital Spy on the red carpet at the British Soap Awards, Anderson revealed: "They're sisters, it's never calm for very long! There's so much going on with them - so many amazing things to happen in the next couple of months that are going to really put things on their head… It's never settled for too long!"
Asked whether the clashes could centre around Jacob, who was brought up by Alicia despite being Leyla's biological son, the actress replied: "Maybe! I'm not going to give it away too much, but there's a few things to do with Andy, a few things to do with David, and a few things to do with Jacob."
Anderson also admitted that she is embracing Alicia's current feud with her boss Chas Dingle, played by Lucy Pargeter.
"[Alicia's] got some great one-liners about Chas coming up in the next couple of months," she said. "I think it's good to keep the conflict between those two characters, because ultimately if they became friends, it'd become very boring because they'd probably gang up on people! I think it's nice to have them quite separate, and myself and Lucy get on famously."
Emmerdale star Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi has decided to leave the soap after three years in the role of Leyla Harding.
The actress chose not to renew her contract with the ITV1 show and will film her final scenes as Leyla later this month, the Daily Star Sunday reports.
Speaking to the newspaper, Ghawam-Shahidi confirmed: "I have had an amazing three years at Emmerdale and it has been a really tough decision to leave."
News of Leyla's departure comes just days before viewers will see her receive an unexpected proposal from boyfriend David Metcalfe, played by Matthew Wolfenden.
The feisty character has also been tipped for further clashes with sister Alicia Gallagher (Natalie Anderson) before making her departure. Emmerdale's sibling duo have frequently been at odds over youngster Jacob, who was raised by Alicia despite being Leyla's biological son.
Details of Leyla's exit storyline are currently unknown. However, teasing the possible consequences for Alicia, David and Jacob, a source told the tabloid: "There will be more than one broken heart when she goes."
Corrinne Wicks (Ella Hart), Sapphire Elia (Mia Macey), Kelsey-Beth Crossley (Scarlett Nicholls), Kirsty-Leigh Porter (Roz Fielding) and Suzanne Shaw (Eve Jenson) are among a number of other Emmerdale cast members who are due to depart screens in the coming months.
Awww crap, another relationship down the pan :(
Hopefully her annoying sister leaves as well
Emmerdale star Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi has confirmed that viewers will see a "desperate" side to her character Leyla Harding in the build-up to her departure.
The actress left the ITV1 soap earlier this year and her final storyline is exploring the dynamic between Leyla, her son Jacob and sister Alicia.
Alicia (Natalie Anderson) has raised Jacob since he was a baby and Leyla has recently been left panicked by her plans to move to Spain with the youngster.
As the moving date draws ever closer, Leyla's behaviour becomes increasingly erratic and while she is escorting Jacob to a friend's party, she suddenly decides to take him on a trip into Leeds instead, Soaplife reports.
Ghawam-Shahidi told the magazine: "Time's running out and Leyla's desperate. Leyla asks Jacob if he would prefer to stay with her than go to Spain and when he says yes, she's blown away by it.
"She calls up and cancels the party, then heads to Leeds. It's a knee-jerk reaction."
Revealing what happens when Leyla then receives a phone call from her worried fiancé David (Matthew Wolfenden), the actress continued: "She tells David she thinks it would be much more simple if Jacob knew she was his real mum. I think it would be more simple for her, but it would be a huge thing for Jacob to find out."
Since news of Leyla's departure emerged last month, fans have speculated over whether she could do a runner with Jacob.
Discussing the possibility, Ghawam-Shahidi remarked: "She's in two minds about whether to tell him and whether to take him."
Leyla's final Emmerdale scenes air next month.
Emmerdale star Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi has admitted that she was in "floods of tears" when she filmed her final scenes for the soap.
The actress decided to bow out from her role as Leyla Harding earlier this year and her last episode airs at the end of next week.
Leyla is currently struggling with her motherly feelings towards son Jacob, who has been raised by her sister Alicia (Natalie Anderson). The situation is expected to reach a dramatic conclusion in Leyla's exit plot.
"I cried the whole time on my last day. Luckily, I was filming lots of sad scenes - but Natalie Anderson and I were in floods of tears constantly," Ghawam-Shahidi told Inside Soap.
"I've had a great time at Emmerdale - it's such a beautiful place to work and so much fun. But I've enjoyed three great years there and now it's time for me to do something different - so I'm really excited about what might be coming up in future."
Leyla's relationship with fiancé David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) reaches breaking point in next week's episodes after she pulls another stunt by taking Jacob away on a trip without telling anybody.
"He tells Leyla she has to give up Jacob or they're finished," Ghawam-Shahidi added. "That's something Leyla could never do - if she has to stop seeing her son to be with David, she could never love him in the same way ever again. It's an impossible choice - Jacob will always come first for her."
Emmerdale's series producer Stuart Blackburn recently told Digital Spy that Leyla's departure will be "so emotional, so powerful and so full of consequences".
Emmerdale star Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi has admitted that she took a long time to reach her decision to leave the soap.
The actress bowed out from her role as Leyla Harding in June after three years in the part, and viewers will see her final scenes later this week.
In an interview with We Love Telly, Ghawam-Shahidi explained that her screen sister Natalie Anderson (Alicia Gallagher) supported her while she was considering her future.
Asked how she reached her decision, Ghawam-Shahidi replied: "It took me about six months. In the end, Natalie Anderson helped me. She has experience of leaving a long-running serial - The Royal - and she encouraged me."
She continued: "Everyone is like a family [at Emmerdale] and I've become really good friends with Natalie. She is as bubbly as I am."
Ghawam-Shahidi confirmed that she is now hoping to pursue new roles.
Discussing how Emmerdale has changed her life, she added: "I've got a nice car and a house in York, but the material gains haven't been the main thing. It's all about TV experience. I feel so much more confident going to auditions now. The camera doesn't bother me."
Leyla's last episode airs on Friday.
I hope she dont take Jacob with her
Emmerdale shopkeeper Leyla Harding feels the full force of her sister Alicia's fury as she finally returns to the village with Jacob in tonight's episode of the soap.
When Jacob sends a picture message to Alicia (Natalie Anderson) revealing his location, the feisty barmaid is determined to bring him back home. However, when David points out that a huge row between the sisters would only confuse Jacob, Alicia agrees to stay behind while David heads off to sort the situation out.
Later, David tracks down Leyla (Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi) and firmly insists that it's time for her and Jacob to come back to the village. A reluctant Leyla agrees, but is dishonest with David about how much she's told Jacob.
Returning home, Leyla is left devastated when Alicia refuses to forgive her and slaps her hard across the face, while David also refuses to talk to her.
With Leyla leaving the village on Friday, could there be more heartache ahead for everyone before she makes her departure?

Emmerdale star Matthew Wolfenden has confirmed that his character David Metcalfe is likely to set his sights on Alicia Gallagher following the departure of her sister Leyla Harding.
David's relationship with Leyla is currently at crisis point and the troubled shopkeeper will leave the village in tonight's episode.
Discussing the aftermath of Leyla's exit, Wolfenden told Soaplife: "[David's] really awful to Alicia because he kind of blames her for all that's happened between him and Leyla - her bringing Jacob into their lives, stirring everything up from the past and all the bad memories. It'll take a different turn eventually, but that's the way it is now."
Asked whether David could fall for Alicia, he replied: "That's what people want in general. I didn't think that was ever on the cards but it's the way it's looking, even though she's with Andy at the moment. We'll have to see how that one goes."
The actor also predicted that David's heartbreak over Leyla will not have a long-lasting impact on his life.
"He'll get over it - people always do in soap world," Wolfenden said. "He'll move on and have to make a go of it with someone else. Alicia's the definite candidate for him."
Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi, who played Leyla, announced her decision to leave Emmerdale in June.
Maybe Alicia and David will get together if Andy is devoting all his time to Sarah and Debbie with Sarah being ill.
Emmerdale star Matthew Wolfenden has teased his character David Metcalfe's forthcoming bout of erratic behaviour, admitting that the shopkeeper suffers a "breakdown" in the coming days.
David was left heartbroken last Friday when his fiancée Leyla Harding decided to leave the village, and things soon got worse when he realised that she had lumbered him with a mountain of debts.
Next week's episodes see David's behaviour take a turn for the worse when Leyla's wedding dress arrives, prompting him to put on the gown before heading to The Woolpack dressed as a bride.
"David has a bit of a mini-meltdown," Wolfenden told Inside Soap. "He's drinking a lot and not opening the shop, so Hannah is having to run it for him. He's really not coping with things very well."
Discussing David's wedding gown stunt, the actor continued: "The dress is a slap in the face for David. It costs about £1,500 - another load of money he hasn't got and is going to have to find. He's already wallowing in self-pity, but I still don't have a clue what prompts him to actually put on the dress and parade around!
"He's run out of beer at home, so he thinks he's behaving quite normally by going to the pub to get some more. When he's questioned on why he's wearing the dress, he says, 'I've paid for it, so I'll wear it if I want!' It's the start of his little breakdown, I suppose. He asks Pearl to marry him, and just doesn't care what he's doing."
Leyla's departure came after actress Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi decided not to renew her contract following three years at Emmerdale.
Emmerdale star Natalie Anderson has admitted that she does not want Alicia and Andy's forthcoming split to be permanent.
Andy dumps Alicia next week after deciding that his focus should be his young daughter Sarah, who has a mystery illness.
Speaking to Inside Soap about her character's heartbreak, Anderson explained: "I'm so sad that they've split up. I really liked them as a couple and thought they had a long way to go.
"If Andy lets her in and opens up about Sarah, we could hopefully see a different side to Alicia - so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they'll get back together."
Viewers will see Alicia go on the rebound in the aftermath of her split from Andy (Kelvin Fletcher), welcoming the romantic advances of Carl King, played by Tom Lister.
Anderson said: "Alicia finds Carl's attention very flattering but she doesn't take it too seriously. I think she can spot a snake in the grass - even if he's a good distraction! Alicia would be interested in having a bit of fun with Carl, but she's not stupid - she knows he's a bad boy."
Emmerdale star Natalie Anderson has reflected on her character's recent troubles with Andy Sugden, admitting that the brassy brunette is secretly "heartbroken" over their split.
Last week, viewers saw Alicia Gallagher's relationship with Andy fall apart after their planned move to Spain was called off.
Andy (Kelvin Fletcher) cancelled plans to move abroad to ensure that he could fully support his young daughter Sarah, who has been struck down with a mystery illness. Alicia has since enjoyed romantic attention from love rat Carl King, played by Tom Lister.

Anderson told the Daily Star: "Alicia doesn't know the extent of what's wrong with Andy's daughter Sarah. She's got a very rare illness and is having tests, but they know it's quite serious. So Andy had to stay in Emmerdale but Alicia's mindset was that Sarah would be fine.
"Andy told her to find somebody else and she was gutted. Although she's heartbroken, she won't show that. She's quite steely. So when Carl started flirting with her, she was flattered. And considering she's fed up, she enjoys it. Alicia knows he's a snake in the grass but he's also a distraction."
She added: "I think she should get back together with Andy. They're a good match and who else would she be with in the village? But you never know in soap."
Emmerdale's Natalie Anderson has revealed Alicia Gallagher's "risque" costumes help her get into character.
The 29-year-old actress plays the brassy barmaid with a love of leopard print, and told the Daily Star, while she would never be tempted to wear Alicia's clothes off screen, squeezing into her skimpy outfits helps her feel the part.
Natalie said: "She's a little bit risque with her clothes but she doesn't care what people think.
"She always dresses to kill. I think it's hilarious because it's so different to how I dress so it's really good fun. I really enjoy her clothes, it's a great character to play.
"My favourite is her teeny-weeny white miniskirt, which is like a belt. It's so tiny and she likes to wear it with her silver heels and one of her many low-cut animal print tops. I love it. As soon as I put it on I am instantly in character."
Meanwhile, the soap star thinks Alicia should top flirting with Dales' love rat Carl King and get back with Andy Sugden.
Natalie revealed: "Alicia doesn't know the extent of what's wrong with Andy's daughter Sarah.
"Andy told her to find somebody else and she was gutted. Although she's heartbroken, she won't show that. She's quite steely.
"So when Carl started flirting with her, she was flattered. And considering she's fed up, she enjoys it.
"I think she should get back together with Andy. They're a good match."

Emmerdale star Matthew Wolfenden has pledged his future to the soap, promising that there are interesting times ahead for his character David Metcalfe.
The actor, who has been part of the ITV1 show since 2006, was crowned the winner of reality contest Dancing on Ice at the weekend.
However, Wolfenden told The Sun: "I don't want to leave Emmerdale. It's my bread and butter and they've been so accommodating throughout this whole show.
"Everyone at Emmerdale is just brilliant. I've signed a contract that takes me to Christmas, then hopefully I'll get a new one after that too."
Wolfenden confirmed that there are big plans for David and Alicia Gallagher (Natalie Anderson), the sister of his ex-fiancée Leyla Harding.
Wolfenden said: "I've got a big new storyline. It's to do with Alicia and David and the little one, Jacob. Maybe Leyla might mess things up and come back - but I can't tell you if she will or not!"
Next week's Emmerdale episodes see Alicia get jealous when she thinks that David and Rachel Breckle (Gemma Oaten) could become more than just friends.
Matthew Wolfenden has tipped his Emmerdale character David Metcalfe to fall for Alicia Gallagher.
Alicia, who has harboured feelings for David for some weeks, is stunned when he suggests they get married to increase her chances of keeping son Jacob.
Speaking to Inside Soap, the Dancing on Ice 2012 winner gushed: "Personally, I'd love to see David and Alicia together. There's been a brilliant build-up to all this, and it's so well written.
"David's totally oblivious to the reality of the situation. But if those two were to get together properly after Alicia comes out of prison, it could actually be the perfect fairytale ending."
Alicia punched Val in the face after she stormed into the shop at the moment she was preparing to confess her love for David.
Due to a previous conviction, Alicia now faces time in prison after initially admitting to the assault, despite Val having later dropped charges.
Wolfenden, however, conceded that David is not in love with Alicia yet, adding: "To be honest, he'd probably run a mile if he realised how she really felt about him! He certainly wouldn't be getting down on one knee for her."
Emmerdale star Matthew Wolfenden has confirmed that romance will blossom between David Metcalfe and Priya Sharma in the coming weeks.
The pair recently appeared to have chemistry as David confided in Priya by revealing the truth about his sham wedding.
David tied the knot with Alicia Gallagher earlier in the summer, but only to ensure that he could have custody of her adopted son Jacob during her time in jail.
Wolfenden told Inside Soap of David's future: "He's still playing daddy to Jacob, but he's also set to develop a soft spot for Priya. They're going to go off for secret snogs in the woods!"
Meanwhile, with Emmerdale gearing up for its 40th anniversary in October, Wolfenden explained that his real-life fiancé Charley Webb (Debbie Dingle) will have a huge role to play in the live episode.
He said: "I'm one of the lucky ones, because I'm not doing too much! But Charley is doing an awful lot. She's got one of the biggest parts in it."
Emmerdale star Matthew Wolfenden has admitted that he is expecting a "catfight" when Alicia Gallagher returns to the village.
Alicia is currently serving time in prison after lashing out at Val Pollard, while Natalie Anderson - who plays the feisty character - is on maternity leave after giving birth to a baby boy in August.
Wolfenden's alter ego David Metcalfe tied the knot with Alicia in a sham wedding a few months ago, and he later discovered that she genuinely was in love with him.
Alicia could be heading for fresh heartbreak upon her return as David is now dating Priya Sharma (Fiona Wade).
Wolfenden, asked about the storyline's future, commented: "Genuinely we don't know! Natalie comes back from her maternity leave soon, and we don't know what's happening once she comes back - whether David will decide that he does love her really, or if he doesn't.
"I think there'll definitely be a catfight between Alicia and Priya! They're not going to pass up a storyline of two good-looking girls having a fight, are they?"
The actor added that he would not rule out a future return for David's previous girlfriend - Alicia's sister Leyla Harding (Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi).
He said: "The door was left wide open for her, and I know that they've talked about it. As of yet, there's no scripts with her in it but you never know - I hope so. I had a ball working with Rokhsaneh."
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1.
