Aaron Livesy is confused about his sexuality after he tries to kiss his girlfriend’s brother.
As our sensational picture shows the troubled teenager leans in to kiss Adam Barton as they head home after a night out.
Hunky Adam is horrified at his mate and pulls away in disgust.
But for Aaron it’s the start of his turmoil as he tries to come to terms with his feelings.
Having spent months chasing Adam’s sister Holly he can’t understand why he’s attracted to her brother. Especially as his pursuit has paid off and the two are now an item.
An Emmerdale insider said: “The kiss happens in the heat of the moment. Aaron is driving Adam home when they narrowly miss hitting another car.
“The car stops and Adam checks out a cut on Aaron’s head. At that point Aaron leans in for the kiss.
“Adam can’t believe what his mate is doing and Aaron is stunned by his own actions.
“The storyline is the start of an emotional journey for Aaron. He hates the thought of being gay and doesn’t know what to do.
“It’s going to be a tough time for him. He’s got no one to confide in.”

After witnessing Aarons kiss with Jackson, Adam hopes he can be there to support Aaron as he struggles to come to terms with his sexuality. However Danny reckons that his alter ego won't welcome any efforts to encourage him. "Adam later tells Aaron that he isn't bothered by his relationship with Jackson and still wants to be mates" Danny reveals . "That's the complete opposite of what Aaron was expecting and not what he wants at all. He hopes Adam will be angry with him becuase Aaron thinks he deserves it. So he just completely blanks Adam and makes it clear he wants nothing to do with him anymore"
Instead of being honest with his family Aaron tries to commit suicide as events threaten to expose his secret and he resorts to violence once again.
Emmerdale character Aaron Livesy will try to kill himself in an upcoming episode.
Aaron, played by Danny Miller, will make the suicide attempt to stop people discovering that he is gay, The Sun reports.
He punches his new boyfriend Jackson Walsh to stop him revealing their relationship, meaning that he gets in trouble with the police. When he is released, he decides to gas himself in his car to stop people asking questions about his sexuality.
"It's make or break time, but Aaron is terrified of what the future holds, and he feels ending it all is the only way out," Miller explained. "It's like he's been backed into a corner."
Aaron is rescued and taken to hospital, where he eventually comes round. However, he still fears that people will find out that he is gay.
"He feels a mixture of raw emotions, really," Miller continued. "Scared, angry, depressed. He tells Paddy he wishes he was dead.
"Ironically, this marks the start of Aaron's journey, not the end as he intended. He's going to have to come to terms with who he is."
The scenes will air later this month.
DESPERATE gay teenager Aaron Livesy is carried motionless from a car when he attempts suicide rather than face up to his sexuality.
Slipping away ... Aaron tries to gas himself
The mechanic tries to gas himself after learning his mum Chas knows he's gay.
But his uncle Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and pal Adam Barton (Adam Thomas) find the unconscious youngster and rush him to hospital.
Actor Danny Miller, who plays Aaron, told TV Biz: "Aaron really wants to die - this isn't a cry for help."
It's touch and go whether he'll pull through at the end of this month.

Emmerdale's Danny Miller has confessed that his alter ego Aaron Livesy will continue to fight his sexuality in the coming weeks.
The 19-year-old actor also revealed the consequences of Aaron's violent outburst in The Woolpack, which is shown in tomorrow night's episode of the Yorkshire soap.
He told TV Times: "If Aaron doesn't admit that he's gay, proving it wasn't a homophobic attack [against Jackson], then he faces six to 12 months inside.
"So during his final plea, he says, 'Jackson came to see me because he's gay - and I'm gay'. It's a massive step, the most unlikely way to come out."
The star added of Aaron's relationship with Jackson: "He's not necessarily in love with him, but he still has feelings for him, and will try to fight for him.
"He's got a way of bringing people in, then pushing them away. It would be too ideal if he and Jackson settled down. I'm not saying that I don't want Aaron to settle down, but maybe in a few years' time."

Danny Miller is a great actor i hope come award season he is rewarded
Lucy Pargeter has praised Emmerdale's writers for their 'fantastic' approach to the soap's current sexuality storyline.
In recent months, viewers have seen troubled Aaron Livesy - the son of Pargeter's character Chastity Dingle - slowly coming to the realisation that he is gay.
Speaking on This Morning today, Pargeter claimed that the show's team had made an inspired choice in creating the plotline for a traditional 'tough guy' character.
The actress explained: "Emmerdale's done it fantastically. A gay storyline isn't new, it isn't groundbreaking, but I think it's the fact that they've [used] a lad such as Aaron. I hope it's been really true to [life]."
Pargeter also commented on actor Danny Miller's recent confession that he had received public heckling for his role as Aaron.
She said: "He's a young lad and I think when he's out in places that he used to go out in, I think a lot of lads can feel threatened by a lad that's on the telly and [it's] anything they can throw at him to knock his confidence and try to get one up over him."
Emmerdale's Aaron Livesy takes the stand next week as he appears in court for his apparent 'homophobic attack' on Jackson.
Realising that the only way to save himself is to come out in court and admit that he, too, is gay, Aaron's faced with the toughest decision he's ever had to make.
But what will he do?
I recently gave Danny a call between scenes to chat about the trial episodes, which air next week...
How does trial week start?
"At the beginning of the week, Aaron's starting to worry about the fact he could be going to prison. He realises that he has to admit that he's gay otherwise he'll be given a custodial sentence. The police and courts think that it's a homophobic attack, so Aaron coming out would prove that it wasn't. The idea of Aaron admitting that he's gay freaks him out too much, though. Paddy, Chas and Adam are all on at him throughout the week to be true to himself and save ensure he doesn't get sent down. It's a case of, 'will he admit it or not?'"
How does Adam try to help?
"Adam brings Jackson around in the hope that Aaron will apologise but he blows his chances as usual..."
What happens in court?
"He's panicking like mad and he knows it's his last chance. But then he eventually plucks up the courage and forces himself to admit that he's gay in court. I didn't want to play it too stereotypical with big pauses - he just says it, as if he's finally accepting the words himself."
What was it like to hear Aaron saying those words you've wanted him to say for so long?
"We had to do a couple of shots beforehand, so the director told me to keep my performance until the actual take. But when I eventually said the words, it genuinely felt like it was a weight off my shoulders, too."
There have been a lot of scenes between Aaron and Chas recently - when will Aaron start being a little nicer to his mother?
"Funnily enough, he does eventually start to soften towards her. It's about four or five weeks after the trial. We don't want it to happen too much, though, otherwise he'll be changing just because he's come out as gay. We don't want to change his character - he'll always be the same person he is, it just so happens he's gay. I think it's working really well."
How come we've not seen Aaron and Victoria together? She was all over him and since he tried to kill himself, she's not been to visit...
"Victoria's basically creeped out by it all - it's got to the point whereby because she slept with him, she wonders if he's gay because of her. Instead of visiting him and talking about, she's avoiding him and the conversation."
What happens beyond the trial? Will Aaron be pushed onto the back burner for a while?
"He won't be pushed aside, that's for sure. I'm filming scenes that will air around five weeks after the trial and I'm still hectically busy. Eventually, though, he will take a bit of a back seat as there are other storylines that need to be explored. Aaron does become involved in another big storyline, which is nice because it's great to be part of someone else's story."
Have you been watching the gay storyline in EastEnders?
"Yeah I have. Funnily enough, I was speaking to a taxi driver about it who picked me up from the village the other day. He's an Asian guy and he was telling me how much he's enjoying watching Aaron's journey because he's gay, too. It's a completely different storyline and it's great that EastEnders is exploring the religion issue, too."
Is Marc Silcock - who plays Jackson - sticking around?
"I don't know. It would be too convenient for Aaron to settle down and be happy with the first guy he meets, though. It'd be too unlike Aaron to be all lovey dovey with someone and change the way he is. The key to Aaron's journey is that he'll be staying the way he is - bringing people close and pushing people away."
How's life not smoking? You gave up recently, didn't you?
"I tried and failed miserably. Two days I lasted. On the first, I was adamant that smoking was the worst thing in the world. But by day two, Adam [Thomas] started smoking and that was it. So thanks for your support, Adam!"
What do you think Emmerdale's chances are at this year's Soap Awards?
"I genuinely don't think that any other soap has improved as much as Emmerdale has this year. It'd be nice to get some acknowledgement for the hard work we've put in, so yeah, I think we have a good chance. And it's incredible that we've managed to get nominations in every single category - we're the only soap that has.
"Hopefully we will win something this year. Eventually, it'll become a bit boring EastEnders and Coronation Street winning all the time. It's almost like we're extras!"

Emmerdale star Danny Miller has said that viewers should not expect to see his character Aaron Livesy undergoing any dramatic personality changes over the coming months.
Aaron's current gay storyline will reach a climax next week as a court appearance sees him speaking openly about his sexuality in a bid to avoid a custodial sentence after being accused of a homophobic attack.
Despite Aaron reaching the turning point following weeks of self-doubt, Miller told DS that there will be no overnight solution to his other personal problems.
Speaking of Aaron's relationship with mum Chas (Lucy Pargeter), the actor explained: "Funnily enough, he does eventually start to soften towards her. It's about four or five weeks after the trial.
"We don't want it to happen too much, though, otherwise he'll be changing just because he's come out as gay. We don't want to change his character - he'll always be the same person he is, it just so happens he's gay. I think it's working really well."
Asked whether Aaron's love interest Jackson Walsh (Marc Silcock) will remain in the village, he replied: "I don't know. It would be too convenient for Aaron to settle down and be happy with the first guy he meets, though.
"It'd be too unlike Aaron to be all lovey dovey with someone and change the way he is. The key to Aaron's journey is that he'll be staying the way he is - bringing people close and pushing people away."
I wonder if what they are going to do is have Adams girlfriend think that Adam is cheating on her with Aaron. Adam has mentioned having an issue with her recently and I think she might take offense to Adam keeping Aarons secret from her.
WENN
Emmerdale actor Danny Miller has admitted that he can find his homosexual on-screen persona difficult to play.
Speaking to Gay Times, the 19-year-old actor was asked about his relationship with his alter ego's love interest Jackson Walsh (Marc Silcock).
Miller said: "It's difficult because you're kissing the same sex and you know you're not attracted to them, you're not a homosexual and you're not attracted to them in that way. So it is hard, yeah."
Silcock added: "But you know, it's got to be done. So the only way of doing that is to sit down and have a chat and just try to make it look as real as possible.
"We don't want it to just look like two straight blokes kissing each other. We want to make it look as real as possible, while getting over the difficulties that are involved in it."
Emmerdale's Danny Miller has said that Aaron Livesy will blame himself for causing Jackson Walsh's crash.
In tonight's episode, viewers saw Jackson's (Marc Silcock) life left in jeopardy after he crashed onto a train track in front of an oncoming train.
At a special screening of the episode last week, Miller revealed that Aaron will hold himself responsible for causing Jackson to angrily drive off without him after their row.
"He doesn't cope very well with it," Miller said. "He blames himself, that it is all his fault. The fact that he was ringing him and shouldn't have."
He continued: "He starts to think of different options, like maybe if he hadn't got out of the van; just a few seconds later the train might have gone past and Jackson could probably have got away with a few cuts and bruises.
"Aaron blames himself fully for the fact that if he had said that he loved Jackson, they would not have had the argument and obviously, because he made him drive off through anger and emotion."
He added: "He blames himself solely that this is all his fault."
I think Danny and Marc are playing Aaron and Jackson characters brilliantly. It must be very awkard for two straight guyks to play Gay's but they are doing a blinding job.

As teenage tearaway Aaron Livesy, he's spent a lot of time on the wrong side of the law.
But it could have all been very different for Danny Miller.
According to the Mirror, the actor was so fed up with 18 months of fruitless auditions that he planned to quit acting if the Emmerdale job didn't come off (after all, he had reached the ripe age of 17) - and go and retrain as a policeman instead.
He said: "I went for tons of auditions and was getting really angry with myself because I was messing them up as I wanted them so badly.
"It was soul-destroying. I kept wondering what I was doing wrong and eventually I'd had enough.
"I agreed with my agent that the Emmerdale audition was my last before she took me off her books.
"So I think I went into Emmerdale with a different attitude - that I was interested but I had almost given up. And they seemed to like me."
The audience seem to like him too, and he's now been nominated for a whopping 12 TV awards. Not bad for someone who's still only 19...
Emmerdale star Danny Miller has revealed that he was offered the chance to turn down his character's gay plot.
Speaking to The Mirror, the actor confirmed that he was given time to consider if he wanted to take on the storyline for Aaron Livesy.
"The producer said I could have a couple of weeks to think and if I didn't want to do it they wouldn't do it," he said. "But I couldn't turn it down - it was too good a story - so I said there and then I was up for it."
He continued: "I suppose at first I couldn't see him as gay. But when they explained the story to me I started to understand."
The 19-year-old confessed that he had been worried about filming his on-screen kiss with co-star Marc Silcock, who plays Aaron's boyfriend Jackson.
"When we saw the first script when we had to kiss we were worried because we didn't know each other very well and didn't want it to look awkward," he said. "But we're both professional actors so we just get on with it.
"It's slightly more difficult than kissing a girl because I'm not attracted to blokes - but on-screen kissing with either sex is awkward. I don't worry about it anymore."
Emmerdale's Danny Miller has revealed that his alter ego Aaron Livesy will mature over the next few months.
Speaking to Soaplife, the 18-year-old actor explained the long-term aftermath of Jackson's recent train crash accident.
He teased: "The accident and its after-effects are just the beginning of a long storyline involving Aaron and Jackson's (Marc Silcock) relationship. What Aaron goes through over the next few months will really make him grow up.
"There was a very strong possibility that Jackson would die - he flatlined a couple of times and Aaron's still worried sick. He's constantly at the hospital. Aaron spends hours talking to Jackson and is shown the ropes on caring for him, which he finds quite difficult to deal with."
The star added: "He's very, very emotional and still totally blames himself. If only he hadn't phoned Jackson, if only he'd got back in the van with him, if only he'd stayed in the bar instead of going out for a fag in the first place. So many 'if onlys'."
Emmerdale's Danny Miller has teased fans that they can expect much more drama for his character in the coming months.
The actor, who plays Aaron Livesy, is currently dealing with the aftermath of a dramatic crash which saw his boyfriend Jackson Walsh (Marc Silcock) seriously injured.
Miller told fans on Twitter that he had spoken to Tony Hammond, an assistant producer at the ITV soap.
"You think aarons story has been good so far and is at the minute? (sic)" he wrote. "You've seen nothing yet muhaha."
Miller recently claimed that viewers will see Aaron "grow up" over the next few months.
A thuggish and menacing mechanic might not be everyone's cup of tea - but he's a hero to Emmerdale's Danny Miller.
The young star, who plays Aaron Livesy in the rural soap, has admitted that he has a "lot of respect" for EastEnders stalwart Steve McFadden, best known for his intimidating screen alter-ego Phil Mitchell.
"Phil Mitchell's drug storyline in EastEnders has been amazing," Danny told Inside Soap.
"He's been so great at playing the hard man over the years, but watching him recently has been incredible."
He continued: "It's difficult because obviously we've been telling our own drug story on Emmerdale, and it's not that I don't respect ours, because it's fantastic too. But I really take inspiration from Steve.
"He takes hold of a story and makes it his own. I grew up watching Phil and his brother, Grant (Ross Kemp), and I learnt a lot from them."
Aaron's been known to get a bit handy with his fists from time to time too, but we rather like the teenager's softer side!
Danny Miller has claimed that his Emmerdale co-star Dominic Brunt deserves more recognition for his role in Aaron Livesy's ongoing storyline.
Viewers have seen Miller's character receive constant support from Brunt's alter ego Paddy Kirk since coming out as gay in emotional scenes earlier this year.
Speaking to the Inside Soap Yearbook 2011, Miller revealed that it has been "great" to work so closely with Brunt on the popular plotline.
He explained: "He hasn't really been recognised for this storyline as much as I have, which is so sad because, in fairness, this plot is about Aaron and Paddy. I know Jackson's been involved too, but Paddy's been there for Aaron all the way through.
"Dominic comes in and gives it 100%. He says to me, 'It's your storyline, what do you want to do here?', and that's weird for me because I grew up watching him.
"He's Paddy! He's the unsung hero of the show and should get much more praise."
Miller recently hinted that fans can expect more drama for Aaron by declaring that viewers have "seen nothing yet".
Emmerdale's Aaron Livesy will face "the biggest challenge of his life" next year, his alter ego has revealed.
The teenager's existence has changed dramatically since his boyfriend Jackson Walsh found he would never walk again following a devastating crash.
Actor Danny Miller, who plays Aaron, told TV Times: "He blames himself for what happened. Now he has to grow up; be there for somebody and deal with it, which he finds hard.
"Part of him wants to run away because he knows that nothing will be the same again with Jackson. Not just sexually. They won't be able to go out for meals together and do things normal couples too.
"Without sounding corny, you ain't seen nothing yet. It's going to be an amazing 2011 for Aaron. He faces the biggest choice of his life next year."
Marc Silcock, who plays Jackson, has had his contract extended at the soap as his story has developed.
Danny Miller has spoken about his relationship with Emmerdale co-star Kirsty Leigh Porter.
The pair - who play Aaron Livesy and Roz Fielding respectively - began dating in July. He admitted that he is "very happy" with Porter, who he described as his "best friend".
"Our flat used to be a typical bachelor pad," Miller told the TV Times about the flat he shares with Adam Thomas (Adam Barton). "A mess from top to bottom. But since I've been with Kirsty it's a bit cosier.
"It's great having friends and a girlfriend who understand your job. Before, I found it hard to meet girls because they thought I was using my job as an excuse not to meet up with them."
He continued: "But when I say to Kirsty, 'We're running two hours late' she understands that it's what happens on a soap. I am very happy with Kirsty.
"This is the most serious relationship I’ve ever had and the most enjoyable."
He added: "I get on with Kirsty as though she's my best friend. I think that's what made me fall so quickly for her."
Emmerdale's Aaron Livesy is to fall for a new man, with his boyfriend's permission.
Aaron, played by Danny Miller, had his world turned upside down when boyfriend Jackson Walsh (Marc Silcock) was left paralysed in a car crash.
But according to Inside Soap, Jackson encourages Danny not to be tied down, which leads to a meeting with newcomer Flynn (Ryan Prescott).
Danny told the magazine: "He's basically set free by Jackson, who says to him 'I want you to have a good laugh and not be tied down looking after me'.
"So he goes to bar West and meets someone called Flynn while he's there."
Danny said the pair hit it off straight away.
"Aaron's attracted by Flynn's charm and looks. He approaches the relationship in a whole new way. But for Aaron, this year will be more of a rocky road emotionally than ever."

Danny Miller has claimed that Emmerdale fans want his character Aaron Livesy to leave his on-screen boyfriend Jackson Walsh.
Aaron promised to stay with Jackson (played by Marc Silcock) after he was left paralysed in an accident but Miller said that viewers are eager to know when their relationship will end.
He told Inside Soap: "If I was Aaron's mate, I'd be telling him to stick by Jackson. If he and Jackson were to split, I wouldn't want him to rush into a new relationship.
"Most of the viewers want to know when Aaron's going to leave Jackson, though. It's not the response we were hoping for!
"But I can see where they're coming from, because Jackson hasn't been the nicest person recently. Under normal circumstances, Aaron would have kicked him into touch."
This week, Jackson tries to convince Aaron to move on, while Jackson has a love interest with newcomer Flynn.
Interview with DS
Emmerdale actor Danny Miller has become one of the most talked-about soap stars in the past 12 months as his portrayal of troubled Aaron Livesy has won him praise from fans and critics alike. Following a year of intense scenes showing Aaron's confusion over his sexuality and life-changing decision to embark on a relationship with another man, Danny is now reaping the rewards with a nomination for the 'Best Serial Drama Performance' prize at the National Television Awards. Danny recently chatted to DS about the recognition.
How does it feel to be in the running for the 'Best Serial Drama Performance' award?
"It's brilliant - it's such an amazing honour to be shortlisted, let alone nominated, at such a young age. Especially when you see people like Steve McFadden in the category, who's been in the game for years. So it's an honour - an absolute honour. That's the only way I can describe it, really."
What would it mean to you to win the award?
"It would be a dream come true. It's an award ceremony that is probably the biggest one of the year for actors - not just in soap but also for dramas and things like that. It would be an honour and it would mean quite a lot to me. I think I would round my life off then as a happy young lad!"
As you mentioned there, you're up against Steve McFadden as well as Katherine Kelly and Lacey Turner - what do you think of your competition?
"Well, if one of those other three went and won it, I really wouldn't be offended because Steve is a great actor and Katherine and Lacey are great actresses. They have a lot more experience than me and they know the game a lot better than me. I wouldn't be offended at all if I didn't win and, to be honest with you, I'm not expecting to win. It'd be nice to win, but I wouldn't be disheartened if I didn't. The fact that I've been shortlisted is a great honour anyway."
If you had to give a plea for why people should vote for you, what would you say?
"I suppose because we're a good show that needs a bit more recognition for the work that we put in day in, day out. I think it would be nice to have the show recognised more as a whole, rather than just me as well. It would obviously also mean a lot to me."
Are there any particular scenes of yours that you'd like people to bear in mind as they decide who to vote for?
"I think all of the scenes that I did with Dominic Brunt - I really enjoyed all of Aaron's coming out stuff. We were locked inside a studio for five days and it was really intense stuff that was amazing to film! I enjoyed that more than anything and I think that's the most important thing, that it was enjoyable. I think those scenes will be a memory that I take through for the rest of my life."
As an actor, how important is it to win awards?
"I think that awards are just an added bonus. It comes with the package, really. It's nice to be recognised and nice if people are enjoying your work, but it's not about the awards at the end of the day. The important thing is if your work is getting recognised and if you're enjoying yourself. I suppose that if you're just doing it for the awards then you're in the wrong game, really! Some of the best actors in the world have only won a couple of awards and they're still successful. I don't think that the awards are that important but it's always nice to win one as an added bonus!"
Emmerdale is up for the 'Best Serial Drama' prize at the ceremony - do you think it's in with a good chance?
"I think we've got a lot of competition. I think that, sadly, we're always seen as the third best soap after EastEnders and Coronation Street and the competition is mainly between those two. I'd like to say that we're going to win, but I'm not 100% certain. I wouldn't put my money on anybody really, as obviously Coronation Street have had a big live episode and it was seen as one of the best episodes in soap, so there's that competition. And then there's also the competition from EastEnders who have also done a live episode successfully. So the competition's high and I think any soap that walks away with it has got to feel as though they deserve it, but also don't deserve it as well in a way - as the competition has been so high this year!"
What do you think Emmerdale's recent highlights have been?
"I think that the highlight in general was Gavin Blyth taking over. I think it was him taking over that made us the soap we are today. He created so many storylines, so I don't think I'd have enough time to tell you which ones he would be proud of. But that was certainly my highlight."
You must be pleased that Marc Silcock is up for an award too, as he's in the running for 'Best Newcomer'?
"Yeah, I've said this to Marc - I think he's got a good chance of winning because of the popularity of Aaron and Jackson's storyline and because we've been on screen a lot. People are familiar with Jackson and I think that some of the other competition haven't been on screen as long as Marc, which is a great advantage for him. I wish him the best and I hope that we can at least walk away with one on the night!"
Are you looking forward to the NTA event itself?
"I'm really looking forward to it - it always gives me a good chance to catch up with people I know from the other soaps and see what they've been up to. It's always great fun to mingle around with people and have a laugh with them."
It's been a fantastic year for you - what has it meant to you to have so much support from the Emmerdale fans?
"It's been amazing - it's been life-changing, really. It's really nice that people have accepted the storyline, whether they're gay or not. It's a good storyline and I think, God rest his soul, if Gavin was here he would be exceptionally proud of the fact that we are up for these awards and people have accepted the story as much as he was hoping."
Aaron has a new love interest called Flynn coming into the show - will that become quite a serious relationship?
"No, Aaron's only doing this for Jackson. It won't be a long-term relationship - it's just basically Aaron being allowed to free himself of Jackson at Jackson's request."
What do you think of these new developments for Aaron and Jackson?
"I think that whatever's been thrown at us so far has been interesting, so the more the better, really! I'm enjoying it - I'm enjoying filming the rest of what's to come in the storyline. It's definitely been interesting."
From other interviews you've done recently, it sounds like it's going to be another tough year for Aaron and Jackson - will we see any happiness for the pair of them mixed in with that?
"I think that, especially with the new storyline that Aaron's going through - with having to grow up and see Jackson suffer - it'll never be a happy time for Aaron. I'm sure that towards spring and autumn of this year, you'll see some new changes in Aaron's life, and they're quite interesting."
Whether Aaron can say he loves Jackson has become quite a big issue in the storyline - do you think he's got to that point yet?
"I don't think he's got to that point as of yet, no. But I'm sure he will do soon. For now, I think that he hasn't quite worked out whether he loves Jackson or not."
In a recent interview, you were quoted as saying that some viewers wanted Aaron to dump Jackson, but many fans on our forum think the opposite and want them to stay together. What are your own personal thoughts - would you like to see them come through it all?
"I think that if they do come through it all and everything's fine, then it wouldn't be very dramatic and they'd have to throw some massive spanners in the works to make the characters still work together. I think I'd like to see a 'break-up, get back together' sort of routine. I know that Aaron may decide that he's in love in the next few months, but he's certainly not a person just to settle down and stick to one person. He does like to mingle and he's quite a sociable person, and although he doesn't show it, he enjoys having a laugh. I think it'd be interesting if they split Aaron and Jackson up and put them back together, but I'm not sure - I don't know what the plans are!"
Do you think Aaron will approach his relationship with Flynn any differently to the way he approached the one with Jackson?
"No, because I think whatever happens in his life, Aaron will always be that same closed-off person. He doesn't really do anything that anyone wants him to do. We'll see - only time will tell and different things will happen over the next year which you'll see on screen, especially towards April. Hopefully we'll keep the interest of the audience and give them some bigger and better stuff this year!"
We don't often see Aaron and Jackson show much physical affection for each other. Has that been a deliberate thing - perhaps to show how the relationship isn't as strong as people might think?
"No it's not, it's more to do with my personal decision. I mean, this is Aaron's storyline - it has been for the past two years - and it's a point that I've always chosen to do. Regardless of girls or boys, Aaron has never been an intimate person and he's never been a person who would walk up to someone else in The Woolpack and give them a kiss, because he's insecure and he's not a happy bunny, really. I think it's been a personal decision on my part that I've chosen to do that with the character of Aaron, because he's not an intimate, cuddly person - he shuts his emotions off and he doesn't care what people think of him."
Will Aaron have any storylines with Cain this year?
"Well, obviously Aaron's always going to work at the garage and Cain's always going to be his uncle. But yeah, I would definitely say that there's going to be some good stuff coming up between Cain and Aaron towards the middle of the year. It'll be an interesting year for Aaron, but I think there'll always be that thing of Aaron wanting to be like Cain and Cain telling Aaron to shut up and pushing him around!"
Some of Aaron's fans have discussed the possibility of his past being explored more, or bringing back his dad to explore that relationship - do you think that could happen?
"No, I doubt it. Aaron has found that he's grown apart from his dad now and he's accepted that. He's got other people in his life and he doesn't need his dad anymore. His dad and his mum were constantly pushing him from one side of the family to the other, but I think he's learned to live without his dad now and I think that if his dad came in, it would just cause a whole load of new problems which he definitely doesn't need!"
Finally, are there any other Emmerdale highlights that you'd like to mention?
"As I said earlier, I really enjoyed the intense stuff I did with Dominic and I've also really enjoyed working with Pauline Quirke - she's been fantastic to work with."
I hope he wins but I think it will be Lacey

EMMERDALE lovebirds Danny Miller and Kirsty-Leigh Porter have split just months after he said: "It's the most serious relationship I've had."
Danny, who plays gay mechanic Aaron Livesy, got together with Kirsty-Leigh soon after she joined the show as drug-dealing Roz Fielding in April.
But the 20-year-old actor left his army of Twitter fans baffled with a series of cryptic messages.
First he tweeted: "I am probably the biggest idiot going."
Later he announced: "You never know what you've got until it's gone. Never take things for granted because one day you will lose it all and then it's u V the world."
Just four weeks ago he and Kirsty-Leigh, 22, appeared inseparable at a memorial ball for late Emmerdale producer Gavin Blyth.
And Danny has poured out his feelings for Kirsty-Leigh in numerous interviews. Four months ago he said: "I'm very happy with Kirsty.
"It's the most serious relationship I've ever had and the most enjoyable. Life is amazing. I've got a great family, a great girlfriend and a great place to work."
Danny recently told how the only problem the couple faced was from male fans.
He said: "Lads in general may have thought I was gay, but I'm not."
An Emmerdale spokesperson said: "Danny and Kirsty are no longer together but do not wish to comment further."
Emmerdale guest star Ryan Prescott will be back on screen for one episode as Flynn Buchanan next month, Digital Spy can confirm.
Fans of the soap will remember that Flynn dated troubled Aaron Livesy (Danny Miller) for a few weeks earlier this year, but the relationship came to an end when the mechanic realised he was still in love with Jackson Walsh.
In an episode airing in mid-September, Flynn returns to screens as viewers will see Aaron bump into him on a night out.
However, at this stage it's just a one-off appearance for Flynn and there's no suggestion of a new relationship for Aaron so soon after Jackson's death. As series producer Stuart Blackburn confirmed in his interview with Digital Spy last month, Aaron's immediate story is his guilt and grief over Jackson, which will be a long journey in the months ahead.
It is too soon for Aaron to get a new man
Emmerdale star Danny Miller has been banned from driving for six months, despite begging magistrates to let him keep his license after speeding offences.
The 20-year-old, who plays Aaron Livesy in the ITV soap, amassed 15 penalty points in just nine months after exceeding the speed limit in parts of Manchester and on the M60 motorway.
However, Miller asked Manchester Magistrates Court for a pardon on the grounds of "exceptional hardship" and claimed that a ban would hinder his charity work.
Miller - co-founder and ambassador of the children's charity Once Upon A Smile - argued: "It will have a massive impact if I lost my licence. I have learned my lesson, I am genuinely sorry."
According to the Manchester Evening News, bench chair Alison Edwards said when passing sentence: "You have acquired your 15 points in a very short time and not taken on board the importance of keeping to the speed limit."
The court had earlier heard that Miller was "a very embarrassed young man" who had been given a "grilling" by his parents about his driving.
Miller was fined £800 and told to pay £35 costs. The actor's driving ban was suspended by magistrates until an appeal is heard at Manchester Crown Court.
What a silly boy.
