Emmerdale star Fiona Wade has hinted that her character Priya Sharma could find true love as she purses her arranged marriage plan.
It was previously reported that Priya would decide she wanted an arranged marriage, and tonight's episode of the soap will see her make the big decision.
Speaking on This Morning today (Wednesday, June 11), Wade revealed that a new character will be introduced as a match for Priya as the plan gets underway, but hinted that the storyline will run far from smoothly.
Wade said: "You see a few suitors and I can't say too much, but there is going to be a new character coming into the show played by actor Pasha Bocarie, who will be playing Rakesh.

"He is a lovely, lovely actor and I can't say too much about what is going to happen, but Priya might have found her love. There is definitely going to be a lot of drama between him and Jai."
Wade also spoke about viewer response to Priya's recent health issues, in which she struggled with an eating disorder throughout her pregnancy.
She said: "It was amazing to be given such a great storyline and massive responsibility. I really wanted this challenge, and I know how important it is and how many people are going through it. It's a huge number, and it was just a wonderful story to play.
"We had a great response, received lovely letters and heard from people who had written books about it. Some people who had seen their children go through it got in touch and said how well it had been played and written."

Pasha Bocarie has joined the cast of Emmerdale.
The actor will play businessman Rakesh Kotecha, who will come to the village next month, as part of Priya Sharma's arranged marriage storyline.
Although Priya (Fiona Wade) is confident she has met her match in Rakesh, her brother Jai (Chris Bisson) is not impressed by the arrival of his old business associate.
Meanwhile, David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden), the father of Priya's daughter Amba, also grows suspicious of the businessman, and discovers that he isn't all he seems.

Speaking about Bocarie's casting on This Morning, Wade said: "He is a lovely, lovely actor and I can't say too much about what is going to happen, but Priya might have found her love.
"There is definitely going to be a lot of drama between him and Jai."
Bocarie will make his first appearance in the ITV soap in mid-July.
