yeah, Ci started in the easter hols, just before his 3rd birthday - I was crying all the way home etc, but Ci loves it - I only put Ci in because I knew that I would need a break for when this one arrives and because its the main feeder into the school he will be going and I'd rather he started with friends than not. The only downside is that hes grown up and got very independant since starting....

I think that we have a slightly different education system up here - the nursery C (Christopher is too long to type all the time so I call him C!) starts is attatched to the primary school - but they have to be 3 to join. I feel I need some time alone with Sarah too and then if/when we get pregnant.....

I am dreading him becoming more independant he is enough of that already!!

We have a couple of private preschools and then we have a couple of volunteer ones to, though the council is currently trying to change it to preschool within one of the 2 primary schools (which we don't agree with as we are only a small town and the school they're looking at attaching it to is the other end of town and not within our catchment. Loads of other gripes too, but another story) They start in the 1/2 term before their 3rd birthday. Ci will be going 3 sessions per week (Mon pm, Weds pm and Thurs am) which will be nice for me to rest in, although the time does fly.

C will be in 5 half days a week! thankfully the nursery is less than a 5 minutes walk from here - a friend seems only to drop the kids off before having to head back out to collect her son from nursery

Oh crumbs - no I couldn't have coped with that....initially they start with 2 sessions a week and then increase them as the child gets older - if Ci went straight into 5 sessions per week, he wouldn't be starting for a long time. I feel like they start school etc so young they don't really have a childhood anyway...

I think the 5 session thing is what they are trying to introduce down here, but most of us mums want nothing to do with it as we have said its too much for the child to cope with (and us as mums too!!! )

I am just going to see how he gets on - if it seems to much then I will just put him in 2 or 3 days a week. I think that he might start on 3 days for a little while....not sure

I hope it goes well - at least he's not starting for a little bit

long enough for me to decide he is too young and run away lol

ford galaxy so has 7 seats,collecting it on wed/thurs.i didnt like the thuoght of keeping the car we had (focus) and having 3 kids sqeezed in the back.now they will each have there own space!
