Family tragedy for Kemp brothers
This is so sad:
Martin and Gary Kemp are reportedly "struggling to cope with the double loss" of their mother and father.
The Spandau Ballet brothers are being comforted by family and friends following the family tragedy, reports The Mirror.
Retired printer Frank, 79, suffered a heart attack and was pronounced dead at a Bournemouth hospital where Eileen, 77, was being treated for a heart bypass. She died 48 hours later of "a broken heart". A joint funeral is planned for the couple, who were married for 55 years, next week.
"Martin and Gary adored their parents. This has hit them like a double lightning bolt," a friend said.
Boy George lands canteen worker job
Boy George has reportedly landed a job in prison as a canteen worker.
The former Culture Club frontman has been given the £6-a-week role serving food to his fellow inmates at London's Pentonville Prison.
The singer, real name George O'Dowd, was handed a 15-month jail sentence last week for falsely imprisoning a male escort.
Fellow prisoners are upset that he has been given work so soon after being admitted, according to The Sun.
"It won't go down well if he's seen to get special privileges. People have to wait weeks before they're given good jobs," a source said.
Speaking about the food, the insider added: "It was bland. It must have been a shock. Conditions here are poor and so is the food, nothing like he's used to. Prison is a great leveller.
"George has been very quiet. He's not been crying, but seems to be in another world and sleeps a lot."
PR Guru Max Clifford recently claimed that the possibility of Boy George making a comeback after his sentence is "unlikely".
Britney Spears 'signs £10m autobiography deal'
Britney Spears is reportedly close to signing a deal worth £10 million to pen an official autobiography.
According to The Mirror, the 'Circus' singer has already teamed up with a literary agent and is expected to begin writing the book following her world tour.
"There have been numerous unofficial biographies printed about Britney, but she's never agreed to pen her own tome - until now," said an insider.
"And some of the stories she's got are absolute dynamite. She's kept diaries so there's nothing she'll leave out unless she wants to."
The source added that Spears could eventually write "between three and five books throughout the next decade", adding that it was "one of the most lucrative deals in showbiz history".
The 27-year-old's mother Lynne released her own autobiography last month, entitled Through The Storm: A Real Story Of Fame And Family In A Tabloid World.
