Lucie was best this week.
I was hoping smug cocky arrogant Danyl would be voted out
Olly is boring imo.
CONTROVERSIAL X FACTOR twins John and Edward Grimes landed the highest number of public votes at the weekend, The Sun can reveal.
The bombshell has sparked fears the Irish duo could give Simon Cowell his "worst nightmare" and become the shock WINNERS of this year's show.
The news emerged as police were called to control hundreds of hysterical fans who yesterday laid siege to the X Factor house, where the telly finalists are staying together.
Show insiders were stunned that the 18-year-old twins, from Dublin, came out top despite their virtually tone-deaf performance on Saturday night.
Meanwhile cocky favourite Danyl Johnson narrowly escaped the boot after landing in the bottom two.
One insider said: "It is extraordinary. John and Edward were miles ahead of any other act.
"Whoever wins the X Factor, you can usually guarantee they can sing.
"If John and Edward win, it will no longer be a show about great singers - it could be disastrous. But you know what? It could happen."
Last night Jedward's mentor Louis Walsh claimed they were riding high due to their "likeability factor".
He said: "Kids love these guys - everywhere I go they come up to me and tell me they think they're great.
"They're young, they're fun and they have the likeability factor, which is what this show is all about.
"I know some don't like them, but they should back off and leave them alone. They put a smile on your face - what's wrong with that?"
The twins have attracted some high-profile fans including Westlife, Robbie Williams and Noel Gallagher.
Groups have been set up on social networking site Facebook urging people to vote in support of the duo.
More than 100,000 have joined a Facebook campaign to get them OUT.
The twins do not receive votes from their home nation as ITV only accepts votes from Northern Ireland.
Agent Jonathan Shalit, who looks after acts including chart-toppers N-Dubz, said last night: "The twins can't really sing but they are likeable.
"If they win, it would be Simon Cowell's worst nightmare.
"Look at the success he's had with Leona Lewis in America. Can you seriously see him taking John and Edward across the pond and telling everyone they're the next big thing?"
A massive 14.8million tuned in to Sunday's results show, which saw Miss Frank eventually voted off.
The giant figure is the same as last week's record haul and 1.3million MORE than tuned in on Saturday.
Some viewers complained their votes for other acts were accidentally allocated to John and Edward when they called the voting lines.
But last night an ITV spokesman insisted there were no irregularities.
Earlier there were chaotic scenes outside the X Factor house as fans' excitement reached fever pitch on the first day of school half-term.
Police were called as screaming teenagers spilled on to the streets and tried to climb over the security fence outside the North London property.
Fans, some from as far away as Yorkshire, set up camp in the early hours in a vain bid to see their idols.

More arrived as the day went on, swelling the crowd to danger levels.
And as the stars returned from filming, the fans' shrill shrieks could be heard more than half a mile away.Meanwhile cops struggled to restrain the mob as they ran into the road.
Stacey fan Mark Marshall, 16, travelled from Bradford, West Yorks, to spend a week outside the house.
He said: "I'll be here every day from 7.30am until the last person leaves."
Leanne Yfrah, nine, came with sister Shelley, three, and mum Even.
Leanne said: "I like all of them, I want to meet them and get their autographs."

X Factor bosses have reportedly held crisis talks after the shock outcome of last night's public vote.
The meeting came after bookies' favourite Danyl Johnson found himself in the bottom two along with girl band Miss Frank.
Both acts had received praise from the judges following their performances on Saturday night's big band show and Simon Cowell branded Danyl's presence in the bottom two as "a joke".
A source at the programme told The Sun: "They need to work out whether they've given the acts the best songs."
The insider added that the producers want to ensure that "the best acts" do not end up in a similar position over the coming weeks.
News of the meeting came after controversial act John and Edward once again found themselves voted through to the next round by the public.
The duo were booed by the studio audience and faced criticism by the judges for their singing.
Danyl Johnson was said to be 'destroyed' at having to take part in the sing-off, however, he was spared when the judges' vote resulted in deadlock and Miss Frank were sent home.
Simon Cowell reportedly lost his temper with X Factor co-stars Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue backstage on Sunday night.
The music mogul accused the pair of not being committed enough to their acts and spending too much time on their outfits during a showdown behind the scenes, according to The Mirror.
It is thought that the dispute occurred shortly after girl group Miss Frank were voted off following their sing-off with Cowell's protégé Danyl Johnson.
An insider said: "Simon could not believe his act Danyl - or Miss Frank for that matter - were in the sing-off and he was in a foul mood all evening.
"After the show he let rip at Cheryl and Dannii. They are always immaculately turned out and spend ages choosing their clothes and accessories, having their hair and make-up done and perfecting their look. But in no uncertain terms Simon told them it's a talent show, not a fashion show.
"He told the girls he wants them to spend less time in front of the mirror and in their dressing rooms and more time concentrating on their acts, song choices and criticisms."
Cowell recently claimed that press rumours were to blame for Johnson's setback on the programme.

X FACTOR has been rocked by a bullying row after it was claimed singer Danyl Johnson has turned rival Stacey Solomon into a sobbing wreck.
He told her she has been branded a bad mum and that seedy stories about her sex life are doing the rounds.
And he has been accused of targeting the vulnerable single mum as his own popularity sinks.
Insiders say Stacey, 20, is already “in bits” at being separated from her 18-month-old son Zach. And she has been stung by hurtful stories that she is a bad mum for leaving the tot at home.
She told the other finalists not to show her any newspapers but Danyl has deliberately ignored her pleas.
He has been thrusting articles in her face and reading them out in a loud voice, leaving Stacey in tears.
A show source said: “Stacey was adamant when she moved into the X Factor house that she did not want to read or hear any stories about herself.
“She got terribly upset when people had a go at her for being away from her son and saying she should be ‘a proper mum’.
“Then Zach’s dad told a mag that Stacey had been making out she was looking after Zach on her own and didn’t give him any credit. Plus stories about her sex life have been doing the rounds. She hates it. It makes her cry.
“All she wants to do is focus on the contest and provide a better life for her kid.
“She didn’t expect all this horrible bullying. But Danyl has just ignored her wishes and he can’t help blabbing when he sees an article about her in the paper. It upsets her and can put her off her performance.”
This is the second time Danyl, 27, has been caught up in a behind-the-scenes row.
Two weeks ago girl band Kandy Rain revealed that he had been cruel to them. Their mentor Louis Walsh, 57, said: “The girls rang me crying.
“Danyl was slagging them off, telling them they were never going to win. He really bullied them. Danyl is vile.”
Just a fortnight ago he was the bookies’ fave to win. X Factor boss Simon Cowell, 50, claimed the hunk had given “the best first audition ever” and that his performances were “in a different league” to the others.
But now he is fighting for survival. On Sunday’s results show, watched by 13.9million viewers, he ended up in the sing-off against Miss Frank.
It went to the public vote and Danyl won.But his chances of winning the show are now doomed. In all previous X Factor shows, the eventual winner has never been in a sing-off.
Danyl’s fall from grace has been attributed to several factors. Viewers are starting to find him smug, false and arrogant.
On the first live show, judges Louis and Cheryl Cole, 26, openly branded him “cocky”. Louis told him: “You are the most overconfident person in the competition. You need to become more likeable.”
On Saturday’s live show Danyl gushed, “It’s nice to have you back Louis” after the Irish pop boss missed a weekend of shows due to the death of Boyzone star Stephen Gately.
Fans thought he appeared “a creep” and “over- sincere”. And very few are backing him as a winner any longer.
Bookies Ladbrokes claimed yesterday that they had received just one £50 bet on him to win since Sunday night’s sing-off.
A spokesman said: “Danyl’s plight came as a real shock.
“It’s knocked punters’ faith in him. We can’t give him away at the moment.”
The news has angered Danyl’s mentor and show supremo Simon Cowell, 50.
He secretly expected him to win this year’s show but has admitted that stories in the papers have not helped the singer.
But he insisted he did not blame the media.
Last night an X Factor spokesman declined to comment.
I have to say if The twins win ill never watch the X factor again
I thought big band week meant swing music i.e Sinatra, Buble etc
How is Ricky Martin and U2 big bang music?
I dont know if i see a clear winner yet or even who will be in the final 3 - i do hope its Olly Stacey and Jamie
I hope Olly is in the final 3 and not overshadowed by Danyl
RICHARD Gere is in talks to appear on Strictly as anxious bosses desperately try to compete with the X Factor.
They want the Pretty Woman actor, 60, to team up with Phil Tufnell's partner Katya Virshilas for a one-off dance.
The pair worked together in 2004 on Richard's romcom Shall We Dance, which also starred Jennifer Lopez.
A source told TV Biz: "The BBC is desperate to woo back viewers who have switched to the X Factor.
"ITV is hammering the show in the ratings so bosses think getting some high-profile names on will do the trick. Mariah Carey and Pamela Anderson are also being lined up."
Strictly refused to confirm if Gere would feature.
A spokesman would say only that producers were in talks with several celebrities about going on the show.

X FACTOR champ Leona Lewis reckons it would be fun to return to the show as a judge.
She said: "It would be fun. But I don't know if I'd be a good judge because I'd just say yes and let everyone through. I wouldn't be able to turn anyone away."
Meanwhile, the singer, 24, said she can't wait to meet the girls when she performs her new single Happy on the show on November 8.
Leona said: "I can't wait to meet everyone, but I'm mostly looking forward to seeing the girls.
"They are aspiring towards the same things as me when I was on the show and are going through a similar experience."

Olly Murs and Jamie Archer have performed a cover of Cheryl Cole's number one single 'Fight For This Love'.
The duo, who are in Simon Cowell's Over-25s category, have been filmed playing the track at the X Factor house.
"We are going to do a live lounge. This is going to be a new version of 'Fight For This Love' by Cheryl Cole. This is for you Cheryl," says Murs. Archer plays acoustic guitar on the track and joins Murs for the chorus and backing vocals.
Midway through the performance, Murs changes the lyrics to: "We're sitting here in the Over-25s room, chilling out with Cheryl Cole... outside there's loads of fans screaming, 'We love the Afro man'."
Archer also attempts to imitate the dance routine Cole performed on The X Factor results show two weeks ago.
X Factor continues next Saturday on ITV1, when the final nine contestants will be performing with a Rock Week theme.
X Factor bosses have met with police over complaints from Golder's Green locals about the contestants' house.
According to The Sun, the £6 million property may be shut down because of the lewd behaviour of female girls who are visiting the building.
Teenagers have apparently been flashing their breasts at twin brothers John & Edward when they have appeared at the windows.
Local Alexander Netsler, who contacted police on Sunday, said: "I saw a girl who must have been only about 14 lifting up her top to flash at the twins. I had to look away. With all these young girls about it is attracting dirty old men to come and stare at them.
"These girls - some as young as 11 - are writing pornographic messages on the barriers. They are also writing their phone numbers on the walls, and no-one is doing anything about it. It is encouraging the sexualisation of young girls and it should be stopped."
Police are now patrolling the grounds, but neighbours are apparently threatening to stage their own protest.
"We're sick to the back teeth of all the disruption this is causing and if the police don't sort it we will," said an unnamed local. "The people round here are extremely wealthy and have their own personal security. If necessary, we will blockade the street and stop the crowd ourselves."
An X Factor spokesperson commented: "The X Factor has ongoing liaisons with the police to ensure that all security measures are in place. Safety is of paramount importance to us."

X Factor producers have reportedly decided to step up security at the show's house in North London.
According to the Daily Star, workers were preparing to put up a ring of barriers around the property last night following complaints over the behaviour of fans.
It is thought that a high wall which was erected to keep supporters away two weeks ago has failed to have the desired effect.
Earlier this week, it was reported that show bosses had met with police to discuss disturbances caused by fans of John and Edward and other acts.
A spokesperson was quoted as saying yesterday: "The X Factor has ongoing liaisons with the police to ensure that all security measures are in place. Safety is of paramount importance to us."

X FACTOR twins John and Edward may have contracted swine flu, The Sun can reveal.
The Grimes brothers shook hands with a hospital security manager who was diagnosed with the virus just hours later.
They met him on Tuesday when budding X Factor stars visited London's Great Ormond Street Hospital for sick children.
A source said: "It's very worrying news for the twins. If they've picked up swine flu they won't be able to perform."
The 26-year-old security officer was feeling ill before the visit but decided to "struggle on" because fans were besieging the hospital. He rang up the swine flu hotline when he got home and was diagnosed.
The man, who we are not naming, said: "I was with the twins the most and Rachel gave me a big hug. I'm worried I've given them swine flu.
"I know it's not my fault but I feel really bad because John and Edward were two of the nicest people I have met."
A Great Ormond Street spokesman said: "The staff member had minimal involvement in the visit."
Sun GP Dr Carole Cooper said: "Swine flu spreads by direct contact between people, like shaking hands."
Meanwhile, judge Simon Cowell was yesterday unveiled as the patron of Children's Hospices UK. He visited youngsters at the CHASE hospice in Guildford, Surrey.
Outside the X Factor house in Golders Green, North London, yesterday he was was blasted by five oddballs with megaphones who accused him of "taking over the country". Dozens of fans of the show booed them.
Barnet Council later closed the road over "safety fears".
X FACTOR fan Louie Bloom, 13, punched a hole through a glass door, slashing his hand, after John and Edward were voted through. Louie, of Ipswich, Suffolk, said: "I was so angry. I wanted Miss Frank to win."

Olly Murs has reportedly revealed his affection for fellow X Factor contestant Stacey Solomon.
According to The Sun, the 25-year-old singer has told people that he will "date" Solomon and that he thinks she "looks beautiful".
The pair were apparently flirting during filming for the video of the X Factor group single 'You Are Not Alone'.
"Olly is absolutely head over heals about Stacey - you can see it in his eyes," said a source. "He couldn't stop staring at her during the filming. Everyone noticed what was going on."
The X Factor continues on Saturday at 8pm on ITV1.

Shakira will perform her new single 'Did It Again' on The X Factor on Sunday, November 15.
Show bosses confirmed that the star will perform the follow-up to 'She Wolf' on that week's results show.
Shakira has promised to give fans "the whole nine yards" with an all-singing, all-dancing performance on the reality talent contest.
Next week's celebrity guests were recently confirmed as Black Eyed Peas and past show winner Leona Lewis.

Holly Willoughby is to quit her X Factor job because it clashes with her successful new role on This Morning.
The presenter, 28, is currently the face of the Xtra Factor, the ITV2 spin-off show.
But sources have revealed that she will leave after this current series ends in December.
Miss Willoughby was apparently so busy filming abroad for the X Factor 'judges houses' segments that she had to postpone her start on This Morning in September by a week.
Since then she has proved so popular on the ITV daytime show, as a replacement for Fern Britton, that ratings have soared, the Daily Mail can reveal.
Audiences topped the million mark in the past month with more than 150,000 extra viewers tuning in. Ratings averaged 1.04million in Miss Willoughby's first month presenting the show compared with 880,000 when Miss Britton was there.
However, that success comes at a price, as a senior ITV source revealed: 'Holly is incredibly popular and she has been offered jobs that are every presenter's dream, but something has to give.
'Everything had to be juggled for Holly to be able to sign up for This Morning and film the Xtra Factor and there is no way that she will be able to do it again next year.
'Things take their toll and as much as she loves the Xtra Factor, Holly realises there is no real possibility of her returning next year.'
Miss Willoughby and co-host Phillip Schofield appear on This Morning four days a week, from Monday until Thursday, with Eamonn Holmes and his fiancée Ruth Langsford hosting on Friday.
That leaves Miss Willoughby with just one day off before she has to record the Xtra Factor on Saturday and Sunday nights up at the studios in Wembley.
Miss Willoughby and Schofield, 47, will also be launching a new series of Dancing on Ice in January.
As well as balancing her many presenting jobs, Miss Willoughby became a first-time mum in May when she gave birth to her son Harry.

im sorry but who gave Danyl a aerosmith song. He is horrible and arrogant at the best of times and then to give him a song he cannot sing and for simon to say he is the best singer its just crap
Olly is the best of Simon's singers. He outshines Jamie and Danyl everyweek.
Olly has always been my favourite I hope he stays tonight!
still want stacey or lucie to win
What was Cheryl wearing last night?
I am glad that I am not the only one who did not like her outfit
any clues what next week theme is?
Leona Lewis is on next week :)
yeah but what is the theme, i.e big band, diva etc
Sorry, I don't think it has been published yet, not that I have seen, anyway.
Whatever it was it was worse that what she wore when she sang Fight for This Love the other week!!! Stacey was my favourite last night, she sang my all time favourite song. Lucie was good - she showed a different side to herself. I enjoyed Lloyd's performance. Rachel was good. Jedward were entertaining but their singing is definitely getting worse every week :rotfl: Olly was good but I don't like his new haircut, are they trying to make him look like Dermot? For me the worst performance was Danyl.
Lloyd to go home please
