We had our geography coursework trip in june it was at the beach and everyone got burnt. Collecting the data was so boring and some people are not that nice but writing it up was even worseQuote:

Dave are you in year 10? Cause you have weird Science exams.
I always had the ones with the circles. Wasn't that confusing though, I always liked them ones better :D
No i am in Year 11 now, we have science module exams, core and general. We did core last year and i got 3 cs and this year we're doing general and we have 3 topics to do in Chemistry, Physics and Biology and we have 3 module exams testing us on each topic we do in each subject, if that makes sense.Quote:

OMG i am so bored! i've got 2 weeks for my mock exams so that means study leave! i thought it was going to be quite fun but i am soooooooo bored!! its quite good though because i havnt got my first exam until thursday which is good so i get a few days off. i've done lots of revision, but im just bored! anyine else find this?
I'm very bored after doing Biology revision for four hours, and I now have a repetitive strain injury as a souvenier lol! I'm soooo worried about my modules as if I get a B, I wont be allowed a resit as that is my predicted grade off of my CATs. This woman came in today talking about exam regulations and when she left, she said 'see you wednesday morning, guys,' as if we're going there for some sort of social occasion. :rotfl:
Our school won't even let us have study leave for our mocks! We've got Christmas instead! We'll only have study leave for our proper GCSEs.Quote:

And also, sorry to go off the subject AGAIN, but does anyone else have to go these bloody Review Day things..? Instead of Parent's Evenings where we see the teachers of all of our subjects, we have to see our Tutors, who don't really know much anyway, in the morning for ten minutes, and then go home. Which is a pain, 'cause not only do we have to wear uniform - FOR 10 MINUTES! - but not all parents can get time off in the morning. My dad likes seeing how I'm getting on, but he can't come in the mornings 'cause he can't change his shifts that dramatically. And then, even though most people I know had their parents complain, they said in the newsletter, "due to the success of our last Review Day, we're going to have another". SUCCESS?! Everyone complained!
Lol that's totally wrong. I say the teachers can't be bothered. In our parents evening all of the teachers just said "No, I can't do any appointments after 7; I'm going to the stained glass window painting," even if someone's parents couldn't make an earlier time. And they say parents evenings are important to GCSEs!
When we had study leave there were only select few allowed to go. We were split into three bands for GCSE, Blue being high achievers, yellow then green at the bottom. Green band got to go before easter (about 6 weeks before us!) and we (blue) got study leave 2 weeks before exams started. Everyone else had to stay plus those who hadn't completed coursework or who were predicted low grades even though they were in the top group. Everyone complained but there wasn't much we could do.Quote:

We have a science exam tomorrow, on Human Biology and Products from Rocks, it is worth TWENTY FIVE PERCENT of the overall grade!
I am really not happy with the way this has been sprung on us.
We have been given no revision material, all I've done is a few of the tests on BBC Bitesize, that is the only thing that I can do, we haven't been given any books, sheets - nothing.
This is ridiculous.
I had that. I have a massive text book, but that doesn't seem to be much use. I spent ages trying to learn things out of it, and hardly any of it came up in the exam. Human biology was the worst thing ever; there were questions that we hadn't even done anything about.
i think half of my year had that today, most of them were stressing over it this morning. im lucky i think mines in march sometime...Quote:

Yeah, you can resit them, I'm in Year 11 and I'm resitting mine tomorrow. I've got a C at the moment, but I am 1 mark off a B so I thought I might aswell try and get the B. Hope you all did well :)Quote:

I have got SO much art to do, and I've still got that poxy 'An Inspector Calls' essay to do. The teacher said that if we have to we can just put half of it in the folder, if we don't have time to finish it all, but I'm not putting in a half-finished essay!
Now she's talking about the next piece!
But, look on the bright side, I have finally finished the R.E that I was supposed to give in like.. :hmm:.. 3 months ago... :D
I had my last science modular test today, it was ok but I not sure how well i did cos there were loads of questions where i couldnt decide the right answer.
I know what you mean, I was saying today how annoying that is.Quote:

I know it was horrible and after all the revision i did id thought i had a good chnace of doing well then that happened and confused me.Quote:

And we have a problem of the term for homework from Maths as well! Business coursework also to be done by Monday, RE homework by Tuesday, along with revision for an assessed practical test on Friday. We also have the biggest piece of Media coursework ever
And when you've got through the mountain of coursework, the revision for exams starts. Stressful times, don't let it get on top of you, talk to your teachers, they really can help with the stress and worry.
Woah, you're gonna have a heart attack before you get to the exam stage! :eek:Quote:

aww kim i thought i had it bad with doing my childcare course work in time and stupid graphics im sure you will get it all in time
and i have decided sewing is so not my thing god knows why i chose to do it to make my toy for child care and i still have the writing to do lol
honestly - GCSEs really arent that bad - i did mine coming up for 2 years ago - i did get really stressed too but honestly if you sit back and look at it youll see that you can cope!!!Plus i know it sounds like loads of homeowrk but trust me it isnt, i know that sounds harsh as it seems loads at the time but then you enter into the world of A-Levels and you realise it was barely anything :( - i dont really know why im still at school!:(
O and lauroski - i did that Inspector Calls book and ill hold my hands up - it was really annoying! You should be thankful though as its quite easy to read compared to other options your teachers can choose!lol Abblette - i didnt really like the science modules but when it comes to Summer you will be SO glad you took them as some people have to take the WHOLE thing in the Summer - that woudl be SO much worse!!!
There's this girl in my Science class who will now have to do 4 science modules and a stats exam in March.Quote:
