It's very bad writing because Ian and Jane were remorseful before Max was convicted (Jane even perjured herself in court trying to save him) but they haven't shown an ounce of guilt since. It wouldn't just disappear like that. Plus, while Ian has never been the most moral person, Jane definitely has a conscience so in reality would have really struggled with Max's sentence. Their change of heart doesn't make any sense like the rest of this storyline. :wall:Quote:

I do feel sorry for Kim, I can see where she is coming from and it comes to something when the only person talking any sense is Kim.
Why did Sharon try and stop Ian moving to Birmingham? Birmingham is a great city and doesn't deserve to be lumbered with the Beales, however it would mean we wouldn't be stuck with them.
Shirey made me laugh when she said to Sylvie "if it was up to me you could go out there and play with the traffic." Linda Marlowe is brilliant as Sylvie.

I enjoyed the girls having a laugh and mimicking Peggy whilst arranging her funeral (even though Les appeared to disapprove of them having a bit of fun).
I wonder how Andy will explain the article about Danielle? I'm not sure why Dot reacted like she'd found a gun or something and felt she had to phone Ronnie immediately. If I was her I'd have no doubt thought it a bit odd and probably mentioned it next time I saw Ronnie.

I am beginning to really dislike Mick. Poor Jay. Loved drunk Carmel, I never thought I would say this but Bonnie Langford is very good indeed and has really fitted into the square well. I like her friendship with Denise. All things considered a much better episode to end the week. It will be interesting to see where the Andy and Ronnie storyline goes to.

Well, I had a feeling that Andy would come up with an excuse to give to Ronnie as to why he had the article about Danielle, as EE never has a storyline concluded so soon, but that has got to be thee worst excuse I've ever heard! So cliche and corny, about how he lost his own mom/sister, and when he found out Ronnie had lost her daughter then he felt it all made sense that he and she had been through the same things. Who the hell looks up article about people they're just moving in with, and print them off?
All it took was him helping out with the search for Amy, and suddenly everything's forgotten! You know, I'm starting to see more of the resemblance between Ronnie and Roxy. They're both gullible and quick to forget.
Yeah, the whole Andy storyline is stupid. Ronnie's behaved out of character around him from the off, being warm and welcoming and getting him to babysit since the day she met him. Then asking him to stay on in the house after he'd been behaving so threateningly was bizarre. :wall:
It's a pity because the actor plays such an enigmatic and potentially very dark character convincingly but the writing is really letting him down.
why didn't the nurse inform social care services of amy's potentially taking cocaine (mammy's serbet which killed her rabbit)

I can't stand to watch any more of Babe's cruelty or Pam's completely out of character small-mindedness. Her calling Les perverted was the last straw for me. I could understand her initial shock and that it might take a long time to come to terms with it, but after all this time for such an otherwise nice character to be so vindictive is beyond my understanding. Yes, there are plenty of narrow-minded people in real life, but Pam is just not that type of person.
I hope she calls an ambulance immediately and doesn't waste time trying to remove all traces of Christine from Les. :angry:
