Vickie and Robert's child should get everything when Robert dies not Michelle
Sinead worked at Underworld, Daniel worked at the Bistro and both lived in Dev's flat, a few missing from the funeral, very disrespectful and also Tracy, Amy and Simon should be there
I thought it was brave of Corrie to include the scene of Daniel in the church, normally Soaps present the view that when someone dies they become a star or an angel and are constantly referred to as looking down on and looking after those left behind. Contrast to Emmerdale where Paddy and Chastity talk to their daughter as if she is still alive.
Tracy is away with Liz in Spain
What work in the factory, Gary is still building it, Nick and Alya were her boss at one time
Amy and Simon are old enough to take time off for a family member''s funeral, to support Daniel
It was bad of Robert and Michelle also not to attend, Michelle too busy planning revenge even calling Adam at all hours
I mean I know Robert is a toad, and cowardly as hell, but I just have always found Michelle to be a vile control freak, not to mention totally up herself.
Adam should have told her to shove off, that he was at something more important, a family funeral. Can you imagine if the positions had been reversed?
As ever, Adam's taking on a case with family connections: Vicky is the mother of the thug who bullied his cousin Simon and got his other cousin Amy pregnant. Michelle is best friends with his brother's partner, Carla, and employer/colleague of his uncle (?) Daniel. Robert used to be married to his aunt, Tracy... The list goes on. All the Corrie Connections get a bit confusing sometimes. It's probably easier to list who he isn't linked to in some way...
In real life he would probably open a practice away from the street he lives on but this is Corrie...
Tracy should be around to help Daniel, it is shame she is in Spain with Liz
I really like the Barlow family scenes, they family unit supporting Daniel, even Carla fits in well (despite her and Daniel having a fling in the past)
It's a pity they had that fling as the motherly role suits her better in Daniels' case, especially now.
Daniel is really messed up. I'm glad he has that family unit behind him, although as tammy2j said it's a pity Tracy isn't there too.
When was Ken diagnosed with having pneumonia and by who, is he at home or in hospital? I must be blinking and missing bits.
good scenes with paul gemma and the mother
carla is new mary poppins :p
Yes, good to see Bernie and Gemma in a more low key mode; good acting all round.
I think we're supposed to care about Michael and his custody battle but it just doesn't interest me so far. The problem is that they're a fairly new family who have been "shelved" for weeks at a time and Michael and Grace's relationship took place off screen so the viewers have no history with them.
I'm uneasy with Paul and Billy getting back together at such a difficult time; there's always the risk that Billy sees him as a project and not a partner. Surely there will be (or have been) questions asked in his church and among his superiors about how he's living with a volatile ex prisoner?
I too liked Gemma and Bernie working together and how supportive they were to Paul.
I am one of the rare folk that likes the Baileys .. I find Michael very funny which is a relief at times with the other heavy storylines. I think viewers will start to take to him and his family more once his relationship with Grace develops and we find out a bit more about their past relationship and hopefully we will see more of him and Tianna having a relationship.
I have no idea about how much vicars have to run past the church about relationships and who they can live with or not .. Billy is in his rented flat now, I think, not church accommodation so maybe the church cannot object to who he is sharing with???? And of course, the Christian attitude should be to believe in Paul having turned over a new leaf and support him ... not sure if the Human Rights Act would also be supportive of Billy and Paul living together''''
In general, I like the Baileys too but like so many other storylines and characters they seem to be dipping in and out. It would be good to find out more about Michael and Grace; at the moment their storyline seems to have come out of nowhere.
I think Billy's church would want to support Paul in theory but there's also other factors, such as Paul not sharing his faith, having a violent temper, etc which might worry people. I've no idea about how much their relationships are monitored either but there's always someone who will take offence, sadly.
kel wasnt kept long by the police
has fizz only one box of matches
Will Bernie not be in trouble herself now for breaking into Kel's place and stealing Daniel's laptop? :hmm:
john stape never told fizz about his daughter, it is cain/nate from emmerdale
evelyn will be the hero catching her out
Where is Cerberus? Not seen him for ages .. hope he is still in the house somewhere :)
He was in the shop with Evelyn last night - not sure if Dev would have liked that...
It's likely John never knew about her but if that's the case why is she trying to get revenge on his behalf when she never met him? Also, I always assumed John was older than it stated on the headstone as he taught Fizz at school (he could have been a student teacher, I suppose).
And what are the odds that Jade would be teaching at the very school that Hope went to? I'm wondering if she was keeping track of Fizz all along, found out she was going to that school in Birmingham and turned up there to work as a teaching assistant, in order to get to know her and deliberately become part of her life? I know even that is a bit of a stretch but it's easier to believe than the two of them just happening to meet at that particular school.
John was 32, 33 when he died, what age is Jade, I am confused by this, a sister or jilted ex pupil lover would have been better
Does Nick never stop being a slimy no good snake?
I don't think it was ever really made clear where, when and how they first met. As far as I remember we first saw him when he was a teacher organising the school play and that was where Fizz ran into him, but they already knew each other as former boy/girl friend some unspecified time earlier.
