Current Episode Discussion IV

Stacey and her mum: I really like the storyline with Stacey and her mum, it is really gritty and well acted by Lacey and the women who plays her mum (don't know her name). I just hope they don't overload Lacey with storylines and ruin the wonderful character that is Stacey Slater. I really hope they can keep hold of Lacey and give her the right storylines. Well done to KH, Lacey and all the rest on this storyline. :bow:

Pat/Frank: Okish. Would have loved to have seen Charlie Brooks back to be honest. Frank annoys me but I guess they wanted to conclude Janine's storyline which is a good thing as it shows that they realise that viewers don't just want things left up in the air when it comes to a character's fate.

Chrissie/Jake: Jake is a plank. End of. I wish he would leave.

It has been great to see life outside the Square for a change. All three storylines have been located outside the Square and it makes it all seem more 'real' and not confined to one square all the time.

Yes, from that point of view I think it has been a good week for Eastenders. It's just a pity some of the storylines have not lived up to it. The Pat/Frank story is so boring! Why say something once when you can say it a million times seems to be the idea here.

As for Jake, it's just so unrealistic I can't take it seriously. I prefer watching him in "The Office" on UK Gold later in the evening!

The Stacey/Mother story is by far the best of the three, but, as was said above, let's hope it doesn't lead to one of Eastenders complete character changes and that Stacey retains her feistyness.

Pat and Frank was boring but I love the end of last nights "see you in court" I am glad Pat has finally stood up to him....

I am also glad that Pat stood up to Frank, I was totally at loss cos the subtitles went off, and I couldn't lip read her, hubby said SEE YOU IN COURT,, bless his heart for coming to my rescue LOL...I find Frank a pathetic old man trying to hang on to something that is no longer there, ( "his little girl" oh please) Pat is only doing what she believes is right, so good for her!!!!

I loved Staceys story line, and I am like the rest I hope they do not strip her of that Stacey we all have learned to love..But the story line is realistic, cos mental illness is something alot of people deal with every day and not alot of us have seen it..

Certainly it's been a better week for them, but things could still be better. At least they've reverted back to a bit of kitchen sink drama this week, which we haven't seen for ages, however I doubt this ray of sunshine will last long, and we'll be back to the likes of the Wellard & Ruby/Juley nonsense next week. :rolleyes:

How come it is taking so long to put Wellard down??? I thought they are usually quick about that. A dog who has bitten someone will not be re housed incase it happens again... or is it different law now?

I think it takes a bit longer than you think. That's just a guess as I don't own a dog. I doubt it would take longer than 14 days though, but I suppose that depends if there is a hearing to discuss his fate. :searchme:

Be warned though, this stroyline will still be going on into 2006. FFS :rolleyes: :thumbsdow

yeah I know that is why I was wondering why it was so long. I didn't know that they have hearings for such things, they did have one for us when our dog was put down cause he bit someone (that person was tormenting the dog every day for months and kept pulling his tail and ears) and he was put down in a few days.. but it was the 80's so maybe dogs didn't have rights back then

Sorry to hear about your dog, even though it was a long time ago.

I know the Dangerous Dogs Act was implemented at the beginning of the Major Government, so about 1991-2. That might contain some actual detail on this. Just do a quick google on it and I'm sure you'll find a simplified account of the Order, rather than some legal jargon. :)

My guess it is the INFAMOUS East Enders black hole of laws,, so not only is this black hole doling out legal stuff it is also doling out large wads of moola :hmm:
