That's more or less what we have at the moment

What is it about with Corri and children having disjointed families.
Poor Sam lost his mother.
Summer has 3 gay men as guardians, non of whom is a parent
Max and Lily with a very confusing set of guardians
Jack does have his Dad but again a different "mother" person
Lewis, only his mother ,no father
Dylan again another confused set up, his Gay Dad with numerous boyfriends in and out
Fiz daughter with a "step father" (when hes not shacking up with latest love interest)
And of course his daughter whose mother is "God knows where"jail I think
Apart from the "invisible" quads is there any actual real life families together as a unit on Corri.
And dont mention the Baileys, as we have now got rid of the footballer
Which leaves his brother bringing up his child and again no mother
Time got a grip and realised that there are real family units that consist of biological parents living as nice families.
Urggggghhhhh corri is annoying me
Ruby's mother has now died, no longer in jail. I suppose Tracy has had her adoptive dad around her all the time even if he was not always living with her mum. Aadi and Asha have had Dev around all the time, mum sadly died. But you are right, Dad, Mum and children all living under one roof does not seem possible on Coronation street.
Nick and Leanne seem to be making the situation with Sam wanting to visit Harvey more difficult that it needs to be. They should sit Sam down, and try to explain to him why Harvey shot his mother. Harvey was a dangerous escaped criminal, who was on the run when he broke into the flat, and shot Natasha when she came home and disturbed him, thinking she was Leanne. There is a slight danger that Sam could lay some blame on Leanne, but I think Sam is bright enough to see that it was not her fault. They should tell him that is very unlikely that Harvey would offer him a reasonable explanation, or tell him the truth, as lying is what criminals do to allay the blame.
I think Sam will go and visit Harvey and ask him why he became very naughty and that if he had played chess when he was little, he may have turned out better. Sam will offer to visit him each week and teach him to play chess. Harvey will be so filled with remorse that he will go back to his cell and hang himself and Abbie and her baby will come out of hiding and will be seen on the street again, and Haley's coat will suddenly be found behind the back of a chair in Roy's Rolls and Maxine Peacock will ask Audrey can she have her old job back.
It's a rule in Coronation Street that no-one ever actually explains anything. Mostly they just stand there without saying anything while someone is ranting on having got it all wrong. Then comes the break up and divorce (or murder) and all the dysfunctional families mentioned above, when a simple explanation may have saved everything.
At times it is like Sam is the Parent and Nick the child. Nick is constantly avoiding fully engaging with Sam, and takes the easy way out in difficult situations. I think there are times when a parent has to be firm and say that a child has to wait until they are older before they can make certain decisions.
