Well for once I am lost for words after watching that superb episode of Emmerdale. Fantastic acting and writing.
I liked the way they showed Marlon reliving Tricia's death along side Sam's current dilema. I'm glad that he decided to help Sam in the end.
The emotion between Sam/Alice when she was begging him to end her suffering was very powerful and superbly acted. You could see that Alice had no fight left in her, she just didn't have the strength anymore, all she wanted was for her pain and suffering to end.
The scene where Marlon was sat on the bench thinking about Tricia and looking to the heavens was perfectly timed with Sam/Alice sat outside at the Dingle's also looking up at the sky during Alice's final moments.
Alice's final scene back in the house with Sam/Samson where Sam ended Alice's suffering was very heart touching. Sam's final scene of the episode put the whole tradgey into perspective - He was looking up at a bird flying freely in the sky, Alice had finally been set free, she was no longer in pain, no longer suffering, she was at peace at last....
I agree with every word so very moving and brilliantly acted by all.Quote:

Another brilliant episode Tuesday. I think with Zak it's a case of his nose being outof joint as Sam didn't go to him but instead went to Marlon and Eli. Zak likes to be in control of things and obviously doesn't agree with what Sam has done. His reason I believe isn't because he doesn't agree with ending someone's suffering but his concern for Sam, obviously he doesn't want him to got to prison for "murder" , also he is probably concerned about Samson losing both parents.
The problem with Sam is he can't keep secrets or lie he has to tell the truth.
Things have slowed down a bit in the Dales for the moment but you can tell that things are still building up and simmering in the back ground.
Poor Cain I felt sorry for him when the Dingles rejected him when he went up to the farm to see if there was anything he could do for Sam. We really are seeing a different side to Cain these days.
Sam silly boy he just can't help himself now Ashley suspects and has a dilema.
Edna and Sandy very funny scene in her house where both were in night Wear espec as Edna still had her hat on:lol: Another well matched pair who would work well together. Really nice to see Edna involved in things more these days.
Another nice partnership is that of Sandy and Jasmine, she needs someone like Sandy to help her in her time of need.
Eli at the moment I feel the same way about him as I do Scott:sick:
Still excellent viewing.
I just want to agree with the comments about this weeks emmerdale, I couldn't stop crying, you really believed it was true, great acting especially from Alice, she actually looked like she was dying too.............well done I hope when the tv awards comes around they win!!!!
After watching a close friend lose his fight against the same as Alice, she definitely played the part a blinder. If awards aren't given to them this year for those storylines, something is definitely wrong!Quote:

Emmerdale is so well acted at the moment. Do you think that new doctor woman is going to be a regular character.
Toni just wants Paddy because someone else has him. She doesn't like the fact that Paddy is no longer interested in her and is focusing his attention on someone else, Del. Also because Toni no longer has Ivan, who has gone off with Simon to Costa Rica, she is trying to muscle in on Del/Paddy, she just likes attention.
Paddy/Del were made for one another.
Toni is an O.K character I think that she is just meant to be a village fluzzy.
Sam is handling Alice's death amazingly well, I thought he would go to pot. The reason why he is coping so well I think is because he knows he did the right thing in ending Alice's suffering as this is what she wanted, also he has a baby to look after who keeps him occupied, plus he probably feels close to Alice when he's with the baby. Alice has brought Sam's inner strength to the surface, she taught him how to be strong.
Last nights emmedale was realy good. Val really makes me laugh. Toni is being such a brat, im not to keen on her character at all. I really feel sorry for Debbie as shes trying to help the rest of the dingles and they wont let her.
