No you won't, you'll prove to them how brainy and intelligent you are!!!
After shopping for the usual groceries at Sainsbury's I decided to buy a new lawn trimmer from Robert Dyas, got it home, fitted it together and then ventured outside to do my front lawn it had only been going so well until 2 minutes later when things came to an abrupt halt, the spool had broken off, leaving the trimmer chord ravelled up around the base. Rang Robert Dyas and told them what happend, they will replace the faulty one for me. Thank goodness it didn't cost too much.
Forgot to mention I had an eye test at a well known opticians this morning, talk about service with a smurk:thumbsdow ( plus miserable work attitude) and a voice that might as well have belonged to Lurch's niece, I was not impressed. I have worked in Customer service for 16 years and would never present myself like she did. I complained to the manager who I hope will get some well needed training done. I need to have new lenses for my reading glasses, cost not very expensive ( which was good). Now watching tv.
Britain is not known for good customer care unfortunately. I mean who employed this person!
exactly!! well said swmc66, the girl didn't smile or greet me in a kind way,:thumbsdow she looked about 16, wonder how she would have re-acted if her fave pop band had turned up??
got my trimmer replaced today, very happy:cheer::cheer:
You should of gone to... oh wait you probably did:ninja:
The trick is to go to a nice family run place for the test then take the prescription to the cheepo other places. .. the family run place still gets their cut from doing the test. Mind you I just went with the friendly place I went to, paid more for the bins but they were exactly what I needed.
but then I am an opticians wet dream, please excuse the term, but none of them have ever seen someone with Bests.. even the proff at the eye hospital has only ever seen 3 with it and thats my fsmily.
Today I have mostly been puling my hair out trying to coordinate fools...renting out my flat is becoming insane, no one listens or reads emails, they just seem to bubble along like deranged antelopes.
I always go to a family run one for years. They were so good with my kids who all wore glasses in their teens.
yes it was specsavers, as for your flat you would have no problem renting it where i live, it would have gone in a day!!!
most of the opticians where I live are all franchise companies, and expensive too :thumbsdowshame really, so I use specsavers which is a bus ride away.
Hey Splashy, I haven't been on the forum for a while. Sorry to hear about your breathing problems :( - are you feeling better now? I'm keeping everything crossed that you get on 15 to 1! Let us know, won't you? :)
splashy get well soon, hope it isn't anything nasty that you have had.
Yesterday i was given a nissan juke courtesy car as a week ago someone hit my car when i was waiting at a give way sign. Driving the courtesy car I went to pets at home and when i opened the boot of the car to put my shopping in it had bags i did not recognise at the back. I was confused and closed the boot. Only to realise i had walked to soneobe elses nissan juke car that was identical and opened their boot while they were sat in the car. Plus they had 3 really cute dogs that were wondering what was happening. I apologised and they laughed as they saw that my car was identical.
That must have come as a shock to you and the other people sat in the car with their dogs.... and is worrying that your car key can open somebody else`s car  Glad you all had a good laugh though :D
I t must have already been opened. I can see the funny side now at the time i was in shock.
Had a meeting the other day with the organisation who are helping me with a Work Choice programme ( in this instance its not the job centre but an agency who works alongside them) it looks as if I will be working in a village shop, they will be seeing the proprietor next week so here's hoping. In the meantime I have applied for jobs as a receptionist at 2 local hairdressers. Let's hope my job prospects get better asap.
Good luck with all of your applications :)
got an e mail from one of the job applications I did recently, they obviously don't want older people in their salon, how ageist is that?
They are missing out on a lot of experience then.
I've just had my latest Royalties statement for Pie 'n' Mash & Prefabs. Between July and December 2016 it sold a further 3305 copies, making a total now since it came out of 20,969.
That is great news
My brother came over from kuwait with his wife and daughter plus he picked up his 3 sons from previous marriages and came to stay today. There was so much racket that my cat went missing for hours and hours we just got her back now she is in so much distress. She did not want to come back home. Too many strangers plus my niece has a lot of tantrums and is attention seeking all the time. Two others nephews were running around a lot. I will just keep her away from all the chaos. They go centreparcs tomorrow. This has been an awful evening. I have been sat in the garden for hours crying on and off.
I just so happen to be in business with a Nigerian General, he says he could convert your money into four times that value as he has the ear of the King who wants access to our currency, so just give me your bank details and I will sort it . nod nod wink wink say no more no more.
But seriously.. thats awesome, I know they say there is a book inside all of us, alas mine was twaddle. :(
Home alone and wide awake...:cryin
I am so sorry to hear that, I guess the kids were also unsettled being out of their usual environment and therefore lively. I would put kitty with litter tray into a bedroom nobody else is allowed to enter, that way she has peace and won´t be so scared next time. I hope you both have had a restful night
Thank you
As of midday Thursday I am a landlord
Had a great night last night, game night round some friends. Us blokes beat the ladies at both the quiz board games, well Im full of useless knowledge, then the ladies well and truely trashed us at monopoly deal. (a card game version of monopoly)
Today I will be mostly hunting the Easter bunny shot gun in hand. :cartman:
Just back from a week in Ireland. Surprisingly it didn't rain when we were there so I wasn't sure we had the right country hahaha. Was great to catch up with family and friends but even better to be back in my own bed.
While away I got the results of my distant learning test. I got an A so I am now officially a web developer. Certification will be in the post soon. Really proud of myself as it was all in german and I didn't get any help with translation so extra proud
Gut gemacht Siobhan
