Where does Paula live?
I'm not sure about this. The writers have tried giving Roy a relationship before (with Cathy) and it didn't work out. Besides, Evelyn is nosy, judgmental and nasty just for the sake of it so I can't imagine Roy having much interest in her. Most of all, she reminds me of Sylvia, which is a bit disturbing... I can see them having an uneasy, love-hate friendship, kind of like what they have now, rather than an actual relationship. I'm wondering if this is all for comedy purposes only, with "hilarious" misunderstandings ahead, such as Roy sleepwalking into Evelyn's room, etc. Mind you, with two great actors involved they might make it work.
that maria and ali scenes were so mind numbling boring
They're now trying to make Gary look like some tough-guy loan-shark (despite the fact, not so long back, he was almost put into a coma, by a six stone effeminate hairdresser)
I really don't care about Alina and Seb
The problem is that the slavery/trafficking storyline was announced too early, like Carla's mental health crisis, so I think we've just got fed up waiting for it. It's certainly a relevant issue, sadly, but I was sort of hoping that Seb could just get a normal teenage storyline and fall in love with a nice character who was just trying to make a better life for herself. And I'm still hoping that Jan is going to come to his senses about his "business" (or perhaps he already has, and is helping to bring the gang down?) rather than turning out to be another baddie.
When did Michelle and Alya go in to business as catering event organisers?
deirdre's lovely big glasses, nice to see
Why did Jan take Seb to the hospital in a lovely expensive range rover?
Toyah is taking the moral high ground over Claudia but was happy with a baby lie
Emmerdale wardrobe department seems to have a thing about ripped jeans, Dawn, Harriet and Amy all wearing them. I'm no fashion expert but are they not a bit 'yesterday'. I don't see that many when I am out and about on the street.
This is Corrie thread, not Emmerdale but I live in Spain and there are plenty of ripped jeans around, worn by male and female, maybe even gays/lesbians/transgenders/genderfluids
... maybe the Mediterranean lifestily makes us all live in a bit of "yesterday"???
emma should learn to say no, feck off maria
Is that the end of the slavery storyline? It seemed to get wrapped up very quickly, with the police bursting through the door not very long after Seb rang them. Was the nail bar under investigation before this? The pacing seems to be all over the place, with big gaps where everything seemed to be happening behind the scenes and not much of Alina's perspective. Hopefully she will stay on as a character and not just a plot device for Seb to play the hero.
I'm glad Jan wasn't helping the traffickers, although he may have been involved at some point considering he knew how it all worked.
So many annoying people in the cafe - Gemma and Maria both taking advantage of poor Emma and Carla hassling Roy even though she could see he was busy. Why didn't she just go upstairs and have a cup of tea for free anyway? And what was that business with Roy and his back?
I think Jan was working for the police as an informant at least that is what I picked up from Paula's talk to him
Yes, I don't understand why the police suddenly mounted an armed raid after Seb's phone call. He didn't know Eileen was in danger and the police already knew about the nail bar as Jan was a police informant and had already told them about it. So what was the urgency at that particular time?
What sort of secure storage centre is it where you can just walk in and open a container? In every reputable storage place you would have to put your code in at the front door to allow you access. If not and you try and open one alarms go off all over the place.
I think that it isn't a lock up as such, it belongs to Kevin, it's part of the garage he doesn't use and Gary asked Kevin if he could use it to store and renovate old furniture. He got the idea when the bloke who owed him money gave him some furniture because he had no money.
does the rovers not take a £50 note?
He had a fling with (Angela Griffin) Fiona MIddleton
