Current Episode Discussion - II

I'm annoyed too that the entire vllage, except Edna are blaming the Kings and calling them "murderers". It was an accident. If blame was to be laid then it has to be

Sadie - For Paying Cain to ram the side of the show house with the JCB
Cain - He drove the JCB into the House
Jimmy - For not repairing the damage properly and having it checked by a structural Engineer.
The one who in my opinion is responsible is Jimmy he was in charge of the building work and therefore it was his responsiblity to make sure things were done correctly and any damage repaired then checked. He can't avoid the fact that he is responsible and has to pay the price.(although I think here it's a case of poetic justice with the injuries he substained in the collapse)
Loved the scene in the hospital when Sadie was threatening Jimmy.
Matt/Tom/Carl are the ones who are having to face the music and try to sort the whole mess out, actually victims themselves because of Jimmy's "screw up". Has everyone forgotten that they too are suffering because of Jimmy's injuries?
More lovely Matt/Tom scenes. Liked the scene in the Woolie, when that prat Eli was harrassing Tom and Matt jumped in there to protect his dad. Just loved the way he went to head butt Eli after he had whispered in his ear about Tom being a murderer. Also the way he was telling Eli to bring it on and the way he mouthed oo when they were leaving whilst Eli was still dishing it out. This is going to be a very interesting situ if these two go head to head (my money is on Matt)
I like the friendship between Edna and Tom she really is a loyal lady unlike Terry who has now turned against Tom, inspite of the fact that he has been very good to him. I.E let him keep his job when he should of fired him etc.
Go get them Edna!
Wonder how all this is going to effect Chas, will she stay loyal to the Kings and standby them or will she support the villagers?
If it is the latter then there are going to be some very stormy times ahead for her and Carl.
Sam/Alice story building up to its tragic end. Loved the scene where Cain/Eli had a fight.
Looks like Eli is going to lead Marlon down a path of darkness, will make the character a bit more interesting.
Glad that Matt finally told Sadie to get lost, she won't win with Matt.
Bob excellent again as the grieving dad.

All in all Excellent viewing this week and load s more to come!

Good sum up there. I spent last night catching up on this weeks episodes because I have not watched much TV on account of sitting out in the back garden enjoying the good weather. The argument about the funeral interests me. If Dawn was still legally married to Terry then it would be him who would make the final decision about Cremation or Burial. As he is sleeping with his mother in law :sick: it's fairly likely he would abide with her wishes.

Personally I think that they should give Dawn the kind of send off that she wanted. I'm all for respecting the wishes of the deceased, at the end of the day it should be what they want regardless of what others may or may not want.

P.S. Eli and planet of the apes:rotfl: Good one! Knew I recognised him from somewhere:lol:

It's been a great week for Emmerdale this week, brilliant acting all round i think from Bob as the grieving father and Alice who is battling cancer. The aftermath of the explosion has been great viewing and really realistic, the continuity has been excellent, everyone struggling to cope with Dawn's death, Val realising Noreen has gone missing and then identifying her body and the villagers taking action against the Kings.

I liked the way the Steph/Adam/Terrence storyline has started up again in connection with the house collapse too. A brilliant week and there is lots more to come! :)

So Everyone has now agreed to a burial for Dawn, against her wishes.
Bob wants a grave for TJ to visit but if your creamated you still get a headstone to visit or a place such as a garden, etc.
Steph/Turner nice touch here. Father protecting and looking out for his daughter. This storyline has dragged on a bit for me but hopefully soon it will reach it's conclusion.
Eric he is mixed up in both the steph/Adam Storyline and the Collapse storyline through blackmail/taking bribes. Typical! He'll never chnage. A lovable rogue!
I liked the scene where Val/Diane/Turner confronted Eric:

"Alan's known you for 20 Years"
"No one knows me better than you Eric"
"Your a coniving, Scheming little worm":rotfl: (There was more but can't remember it all)Very funny and perfectly placed.

I like the way most of Eric's past sins were listed, espc as I had forgotten that he killed Elizabeth then made it look like she had died in the plane crash. They forgot one though ages ago he shot someone can't remember who.
Purditier's husband Grayson looks as though he is going to be a very good character, a slightly dodgy one.
Liked the way he approached Tom because of the money factor only to fail. So I'm guessing now he will help the Villagers fight the Kings, going to be interesting.
Still don't like Purditer and really can't see her as the new Bitch of the Dales once Sadie leaves.
So Edna feels the same about the collapse as the Villagers but won't turn against Tom because of her loyalty. "Your a good man at heart"
The only King to blame is Jimmy because of his lack of concern for the safety of the public and Donna/Marlon. He knowingly gave them a house which hadn't been passed as "safe" and up to standard.
The rest like I have already said are victims themselves and doing their best to salvage their business which Tom/Matt have spent their lives building up. Plus Family loyalty.
Len/Pearl/Danny - slow and guess maybe building up to Danny's exit.
Marlon/Eli scene found a bit of a waste, just what was all that about? And how is that getting back at the Kings? What was that money doing in the woods? However that balacalva really improved Eli's looks :lol:
Lots going on in the Dales right now. Good mix of ongoing storylines, good mix of characters. Excellent.:)

i thinkk Edale have been really clever lionking the terence and adam steph storyline in with the house collapse. I dont like the way every one is blaming Steph. I agree about the Pollard scene and loved the bit where Diane was telling Turner about Val and the school bully. I could really imagine it.

If Steph gets prsecuted for this it will be poetic justice for murdering Shelley and defrauding and drugging her father.

Sounds a bit Janine Evans like if you ask me. :cool:
