The Foo Fighters have finally ended Adele's 11-week reign atop the UK album chart with their seventh studio LP Wasting Light.

Elsewhere, crooning stars Michael Buble and The Overtones both slip out of the top 10, bumping down to 12 and 13 with their respective LPs Crazy Love and Good Ol' Fashioned Love.

Looking to the depths of the top 20, Nicole Scherzinger's 'Don't Hold Your Breath' and Wiz Kalifa's 'Black And Yellow' fall six apiece to 16 and 17, becoming sandwiched between new entries 'The Lazy Song' by Bruno Mars at 15 and 'Run The World (Girls)' by Beyonce at 18.

The Hawaii-born singer, who debuted on the listings six weeks ago and finished runner-up for the last two, managed to surpass the electro-hop duo's 'Party Rock Anthem' to notch up his third number one.
He previously topped the chart with 'Just The Way You Are' in September 2010 and 'Grenade' this January. His debut LP Doo Wops & Hooligans also debuted at the peak of the album chart the same month.

Sandwiched between the latter two new arrivals at 16 is Wretch 32 and his Example collaboration 'Unorthodox', down eight places from last Sunday, while Alexandra Stan's 'Mr Saxobeat' climbs an impressive 13 places to land at 18 from its previous finish of 31.

Rap star Pitbull has collected his first UK number one single as a lead artist with 'Give Me Everything', while Lady GaGa has dominated the rest of the chart with four songs in the top 20.
The 30-year-old climbed three places to bounce Bruno Mars and 'The Lazy Song' from pole position with his Ne-Yo, Afrojack and Nayer collaboration. He previously topped the charts in April as a featured vocalist on Jennifer Lopez track 'On The Floor', which is at ten this week.
Meanwhile, GaGa celebrates becoming the first female artist since Ruby Murray in 1955 to place four tracks in the upper half of the rankings, a feat also achieved by legendary artists Frankie Lane, John Lennon and Michael Jackson - the latter of which scored five top 20 hits after his death in 2009.
The highest placing of GaGa's entries this week is Born This Way promo single 'The Edge Of Glory', a non-mover at six, and 'Judas' follows just behind it after ascending from 11 to eight.
Her recently released teaser track 'Hair', a new entry at 13, is next up, as comeback single 'Born This Way' completes the collection by jumping eight places to 16 in its 15th week of release.
The record result has undoubtedly been fuelled by GaGa's spectacular set at Radio 1's Big Weekend in Carlisle on Sunday, as well as the hype over her imminent sophomore LP, which was streamed online this week ahead of its official release tomorrow.
Elsewhere, Swedish House Mafia score a new entry at 11 with 'Save The World', Dev scales four spots to 18 with 'Bass Down Low', while Katy Perry and Yasmin dip seven places together with 'E.T.' and 'Finish Line' to finish at 19 and 20 respectively.
Despite losing out to Jedward in last weekend's Eurovision Song Contest, reformed boyband Blue manage to beat the Irish twins in today's singles chart rematch. Their UK entry 'I Can' is up three places to 22, while Jedward's 'Lipstick' lands on the verge of the listings at 40.

Adele has tallied up a 16th week at the top of the UK album chart with 21.
The 'Turning Tables' singer denied veteran performer Kate Bush her fourth chart-topper by holding Director's Cut to the runner-up spot.
The 'Wuthering Heights' singer's highly-anticipated LP is her tenth UK album chart Top 10 in a career that has spanned over 30 years. She last appeared on the listings in 2005 with Arial, which peaked at three.
Further down the digits, Friendly Fires score today's second highest new entry and their best album chart placing to date with Pala at six, while Chase & Status continue their ascent with No More Idols, which is up two to seven.
Concluding the Top 10 is little-known Dutch jazz singer Caro Emerald and her 2010 album Deleted Scenes From The Cutting Room Floor, which previously peaked at 74 and last week lingered at 140. The astonishing boost is attributed to the popularity of her song 'On A Night Like This', which was recently picked up by a UK radio station.
Also skyrocketing up the charts is Lady GaGa's debut album The Fame, up 22 places to 11 in its 132nd week of release following her show at Radio 1's Big Weekend in Carlisle last Sunday.
The triumphant returns continue further down the listings, with Fleetwood Mac's 1977 album Rumours re-entering at 16 following the prominent use of its tracks in a Glee episode of the same name.
Aside from GaGa, the Big Weekend also benefits recent chart-toppers the Foo Fighters, who zip 16 places to 19 with their Greatest Hits collection, one spot ahead of a new entry from Danger Mouse and Daniele Luppi entitled Rome.

Lady Gaga has snatched a second week atop the UK album chart with Born This Way.
The 'Judas' singer's sophomore LP once again held Adele's 21 and 19 collections to second and third place respectively.
Born This Way has collected numerous chart accolades since becoming the fastest-selling number one of 2011 last Sunday, achieving global sales of over 2m copies and pushing GaGa past the 3m milestone in the UK when combined with her debut album The Fame.
Three new acts debut within the Top 10 behind the chart-topping ladies this week, the highest of which are Alabama-born sisters The Pierces, who land at four with their latest studio LP You & I.

The Wanted hold firm at singles No.1 with 'Glad You Came'
The Wanted have scored a second week atop the UK singles chart with 'Glad You Came'.
The boyband's fifth single and second number one headed up an unchanged top five consisting of the likes of DJ Fresh's 'Loud' and Ed Sheeran's 'The A-Team', which are this Sunday's second and third place finishers.
Sixth place this week is collected by the team of Pitbull, Ne-Yo, Afrojack and Nayer, who are up two with their former chart-topper 'Give Me Everything'. The only other shifts in the Top 10 belong to Jason Derulo's 'Don't Wanna Go Home', slipping one number to seven, and 'Changed The Way You Kissed Me' by Example, which is down two to nine.
In the double digits, Aloe Blacc blazes eight spots up the chart to 13 with 'I Need A Dollar', as David Guetta and LMFAO each advance three with 'Where Them Girls At?' and 'Party Rock Anthem', this week's 15 and 16.
Immediately behind them is Alexandra Stan and 'Mr Saxobeat', down two to 17 in its 13th week of release, while Coldplay's 'Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall' and a second entry from David Guetta in the shape of 'Little Bad Girl' also lose their footing, dropping four and three respectively to 18 and 19.
Chris Brown and Justin Bieber once again finish the top 20 with 'Next To You', denying Enrique Iglesias and Usher's 'Dirty Dancer' a spot in the upper half of the chart. The track is at 21 this week after an impressive 11-place leap.
Finally, Brighton-based duo Rizzle Kicks score the week's highest new entry at 22 with 'Down With The Trumpets'. The pair have seen a spike in their popularity after featuring on Olly Murs's newly-released single 'Heart Skips A Beat'.

As was to be expected:
Amy Winehouse's material has rocketed up the UK singles and albums charts following her death yesterday.
The 27-year-old was found dead at her home in Camden on Saturday afternoon, prompting an outpouring of emotion from fans and widespread investment in her back catalogue.
In the seven short hours between confirmation of her death and this weekend's charts being tallied, Winehouse's 2006 album Back To Black rose to 59 on the official rankings, while a deluxe edition of the LP landed at 163.
On the singles chart, her 'Back To Black' and 'Rehab' songs re-entered at 81 and 181 respectively.
Despite the modest positions, sales of Winehouse's albums increased by 37 times between Friday and Saturday and her tracks are shifting at 23 times the previous rate - paving the way for a much higher finish next weekend.
"For the world and British music to lose such a talent and icon yesterday is truly tragic," Martin Talbot of the Official Charts Company said. "And already the popularity of Amy's music with the British public is being demonstrated, with sales of her albums rocketing by 37 times over the past 24 hours - according to Official Charts Company data.
"While Amy has already had an impact on the Official Charts - seven hours is just 4% of the seven-day sales period monitored for the Official Charts - we would expect an even bigger impact to roll through over the coming days.
"Such a demonstration of her popularity is the best tribute the British public can pay to this extraordinary British talent."
Winehouse's Back To Black album is currently number one on iTunes charts worldwide.

Meanwhile, 'Back To Black' by the late Amy Winehouse rises to eight this week, having previously peaked at 25 upon its release in 2006. The track jumped to 81 last Sunday following her death the previous afternoon and is the first of five singles from the 27-year-old to chart in the top 40 today.

In the double digits, Nicki Minaj scores her first UK Top 10 single with 'Super Bass', which climbs a further two places from 12 in its 13th week on the listings. Calvin Harris and Kelis, however, head the opposite direction to finish at 11 from last Sunday's eight with 'Bounce'.
Former chart-topper 'Don't Wanna Go Home' by Jason Derülo is another faller today, landing at 15 from its previous finish of seven, just one spot ahead of the week's second highest new entry - Maverick Sabre's 'Let Me Go'.

London-based dubstep duo Nero have collected their first UK singles chart number one with 'Promises'.
The electronic act, otherwise known as Dan Stephens and Joe Ray, pushed Cher Lloyd's 'Swagger Jagger' from pole position with their fourth ever release.
Speaking to the Official Charts Company, Ray credited the momentous feat to the success of their January single 'Me & You' and their nomination for the BBC's 'Sound Of 2011' poll.
"We'd been going since about 2004, then suddenly we had this number 15 hit," he said. "Before that, we were expected to carry on being an underground, word-of-mouth thing. Suddenly we were being played on Radio 1 and everything changed."
Beyond the summit of the chart, David Guetta, Taio Cruz and Ludacris climb two to this week's four with 'Little Bad Girl', as Christina Perri's 'Jar Of Hearts' rises 12 spots to round out the refreshed top five.
Their ascent, coupled with Nero's arrival at number one, forces Ed Sheeran's 'The A Team', 'Louder' by DJ Fresh and Beyoncé's 'Best Thing I Never Had' three, four and three places down the rankings respectively to this week's seven, nine and ten.
Nicki Minaj is shunted back three to 11 after slowly progressing up with the chart with 'Super Bass', while Katy Perry drops the same amount to 15 with 'Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)' to finish just ahead of 'Titanium', a new entry from David Guetta and Sia, at 16.
The final four places in the top-sellers play host to a mix of climbers and fallers, as Loick Essien's 'How We Roll' drops seven to 17, 'Pumped Up Kicks' by Foster The People leaps four to 18, 'Bounce' by Calvin Harris lands at 19 from 14 and Benny Bennass's 'Cinema' sneaks up four to 20.
