A couple of days later Dennis was nearly ready to remove Den's body from underneath the concrete. It had taken him ages to dig the concrete up. Chrissie had asked Sharon what they were doing in the cellar earlier in the day.
"We're getting rid of him."
"Den?"
"Yes, I can't go on living here with him in there. Dennis is diggin him up and we're getting rid of him."
"But where are you going to take him?"
"To the canal where he should have stayed all those years ago."
"What if someone sees you."
"Don't worry Chrissie, no one will."
Dennis waited till the pub had been locked up and Sharon was tuked up in bed before he removed the body into the back of his car. The smell was horrible when he finally unearthed the body. He dragged the body out and placed it into the boot of his car. He placed an old rug from the living room over the top of the body to cover it up. All he had to do now was to drive to the canal and dump the body.
He closed the boot of the car and started to walk around to the drivers door. He looked up and saw two police officers making their way over to him.....
