Hell its me again thanks for the replies. I have decided this will be a trilogy. Keeping it in the family will be the second part but i have already written some of the third it even already has a title lol. Well back to this script :) here it is.
Part 28
Two weeks later and sharon and dennis' nameless daughter was out of intensive care and today sharon was going to hold her properly for the first time. Since her operation she had gone from strength to strength and there was even the posibility of her coming home soon.
'Home' by the way was no longer the vic. Although they loved living there and chrissie was only to glad for them to stay they decided that for the time being it simply was a practical place to bring up a small baby. Instead they were living back at No.5 after johnnys sudden departure. It had felt odd to start with being back in the house that their dad had originally bought but after a while and a fresh coat of paint on the walls it started to feel like their own.
Thats why on this particular day sharon was later than usual to the hospital, she had been painting the nursery. Sharon and dennis had finally settled on a neutral yellow colour with a tasteful peter rabbit theme. At least thats one thing they did agree on. They still could not agree on a name for their daughter and in the end sharon had refused to give her any name until she was safe and sound at home and snuggly wrapped in sharons arms. She thought giving her daughter a name now would jinx things after all they had chosen a name for their son and that hadnt ended well.
The day after her daughters operation/her sons funeral sharon had returned to his grave and said a final goodbye. She went alone, believing that for once this had to be just for her and her alone. She layed a single white rose on the tiny grave and next to it, a little blue teddy bear. She stared at the inscription on the gravestone it read:
Here lies Jacob Daniel Rickman
who fell asleep aged 1 day
on the 29th september 2005
gone but not forgotten you
are with us always
Sharon: You were all I wanted (she had whispered) but you're with the angels now. Sleep well my little one.
She kissed her hand and pressed it gently to the white marble headstone. He was gone. But he was safe now and he felt no pain. What more could a mother want.
After that day things started to pick up for the couple and now as the nurse tentivly placed her daughter in her arms sharon knew things would be ok. As she stroked the babys face deep inside sharon something stired, awoke, and for the first time in year sharon dared to believe that things would be ok now.
