Daytime is great, sunshine all day, around 18C, bit of a cold wind but in sheltered places possible to sunbathe in swimwear. However, as soon as the sun disappears, temperature drops and night time around 10C but have seen the weather warning .. middle of next week to be very cold day (9C) and night around 1C ... guess the dogs will be staying close to me :p:ninja:Quote:

Got myself a Galaxy Edge 7 mobile, bit of a step up from my 20 quid one from ASDA. It can do all sorts of things visually to help me be able to use it with me rubbish peepers.

Going to get help from a work coach at my local jobcentre next week to find out about going on Work Choice . After a lot of hesitating I decided it was the only answer to the never ending job rejects I seem to have accumulated over the last year. Making an appointment was somewhat hard as they have never ending automated messages etc. Finally I got through to a human voice!! We can fit you in at 11.00am next Thursday. I gladly accepted their invitation so roll on next Thursday!!!
Have had some extraordinary e mail replies to some of the jobs I applied for recently, one message read 'the candidates we have chosen meet the criteria of what the company is looking for' another informed me that ' they need to have transferrable skills' when a family member read it their reply was 'so that means you have to be a chef one minute and a cleaner the next? I gave no response.

Having worked in the HR environment for many years I am shocked at the way some decisions are being made .. I remember applying for a full time job (part-time would not have been enough hours) I was stunned when the interviewee told me at the end of the interview I might be selected for job share and part time employment ... would not have been allowed within my previous employment :nono:Quote:

Brexit has lost my pension fund billions and others too... its just a huge mess those that created arent willing to repair and are leaving it to others to sort it...

The day dawned cold and frosty with a biting wind that swept through me as I walked to the jobcentre. Armed with a somewhat thin looking blue folder containing my CV and other information for the Job Coach I eventually reached my destination. A blast of warm air slowly began to thaw me out as I presented myself to the ever present security guard. He smiled and directed me to one of the three jobcentre staff located at their desks in the near corner of the office. I explained why I was there and was told ' Oh yes do take a seat on the coach and the job coach will be with you shortly'. I suppose it was my business attire that made the difference ( I had decided to dress up as if I was having a job interview, which I might add has always had a good impact ). I had visions of the jobcentre character from Bread appearing or shouting 'NEXT!! in a loud voice. After what seemed like an eternity the job coach appeared. She introduced herself and explained her role very clearly to me. Afterwards she processed the relevant information on her computer, my CV was well received , she did suggest that the font could be reduced from 12 to 11 ( great idea I thought).'Ok all the information has been referred to the organisation who will be helping you with your Work Choice, they will e mail next week. I thanked her for seeing me and left feeling positive about the outcome.
A very successful day, so I now await the e mail.
