Didn't enjoy it at all tonight. Far too depressing.
Not sure what to make of it tbh!
I mean it's put Eastenders back on top hasn't it? No doubt about it. It was probs the biggest episode since Christmas 07 with Stacey & Max.
But i mean we've waited a year for this reveal, then she dies. And it's another Butcher running over another Mitchell to death (Frank/Tiff) It's such a cheap trick, and i feel cheated by the writers! Why can't Ronnie have got her happy ending? And why use that way to kill her off? it's all very Skins haha! The one redeming factor to this is we may now see a softer side to Janine, a more vulnerable side. But i don't think I can face a future of seeing Ronnie constantly depressed.
Just look how the episode started, so clam and normal then by the end it was so loud and dramatic, it seemed a bit far fetched and ott, even for soap land.
OH my god!!!!! well worth the wait, the acting was brilliant especially Sam Janus! just a shame that they will never have the happy ending :o(
At least Danielle realised that Ronnie knew she is her daughter before she died. Is Janine in trouble now for speeding? Hope she gets done for it anyway.
God how boring was that episode, I sat through that screaming at the TV, waiting patiently for the best bits to come, I know it will get great ratings, but to be honest it was terrible, the best part of the episode was the last 15 minutes and believe me they dragged on aswell, but I have to admit I was tearing up when she died in her Mums arms.
On a positive note i'm glad the storyline is over, as it dragged on for far too long.
Good acting i suppose but seriously, why put viewers through the longest story line since Max/Stacey and probably the most boring tooo, just to kill her as soon as Ronnie find out. Idiots!
Loved it, some top acting. This cant be the end of Archie, he's so descipable but such a great character and Larry Lamb is an excellent Actor.
This is the first time something from TV has made me cry truly heartbreaking. I actually thought it was a very good episode but I hated the ending LoL hope she somehow survives!
i havent seen the episode yet, sky plus-ed it so i can watch it later on but wasnt Lauren Crace (danielle) claiming she wanted less boring parts like within the past 3 weeks (posted on the spoilers mid march) surely she cant be killed off so soon
omg I actually had a tear in my eye, it was so sad!
so what next for Archie?!
i'm annoyed i read people spectulating on here about janine running her over, i was expecting it long before it happened! i felt sorry for Janine in this episode, she's not done anything that much out of order since she's been back to warrant everyone treating her like total dirt.
i kew that would happen!! east enders and happy ending's do not happen, it was all a bit liam in corrie for me
brilliant performance from sam janus though, archie i just cant take seriously because o gavin and stacey
I was in floods of tears at the end. Samantha Janus has never particularly impressed me before but that scene at the end she played brilliantly.
Good episode but not as good as Kat/Zoe reveal or STAX reveal. I was annoyed we kept flicking back to STAX. Max/Stacey were not needed in this episode (nor was Tanya). For the Kat/Zoe and STAX reveal we only had those involved in the episode so it seemed strange to have characters that were not really involved (okay Stacey was but they could have just had her getting drunk without the Max stuff). It annoyed me cos the first 30-40 mins of the ep was pretty dull.
The scream at the end was awful....so sad. I wonder what happens now? Janine, well surely Pat and co won't send her packing now. Archie? Well, everyone hates him, even Roxy so I guess he is off too. No idea where this leaves Ronnie..i guess back to Jack (this isn't a spoiler by the way, I'm just guessing....which doesn't fill me with joy as I hate the man and Ronnie/Jack as a relationship.
I had a tear in my eye too - it was sad, sad that Ronnie finally found out and Danielle died  Typical EastEnders though, can't believe the build up to it though - and then the death of Danielle
I agree i felt bad for Janine, she really hasn't done anything - she is honestly one of the best characters in this soap.
Hope Archie dies now
I didn't see tonights episode, I was going to tune in but something came up. Anyway I'm not going to slag if off before I watch it and from what I have read on here most posts were positive of tonights episode. I expected them to reveal Danielle's secret at Christmas.
I was never a fan of Janine but this has made me hate her even more. She really annoyed me when she forced Darren out of the car lot like that and there is no excuse for upsetting Tiff with the Terrence business and revealing something that Ricky had specifically told her not to; she just seemed so heartless in that she didn't stop to think about what it coming out would do to Whitney.
A very disappointing ending after months of build up, albeit brilliantly acted by both Samantha Janus and Lauren Crace.
I hope Archie dies now too; I think it would make great viewing if Ronnie did it.
Just watched this episode, fantqstic, how the heck am i meant to get to sleep now!
Sam was superb
I cried at the end.. so ironic.. Ronnie told her daughter is dead, finally finds her only to see her been knocked down and die...:crying:
Archie is an amazing villian.. hope he doesn't go, there is so much potential for him.. poor Janine.. I felt sorry for her, she really didn't mean it, she was speeding, driving in anger but she never meant for this
I am reallly stunned .....I am a bit speechless,,, Archie is not going to be any one's FAVORITE at the moment, and Janine ( even tho she STOPPED after she hit Dani)she really didn't MEAN to hit Dani, but mannnnnnnn Ronnies face,, when she sees her daughter hit by the car and only to die in her arms after 18 years,, Man !! I sure would not want to be in Archie's shoes when Ronnie gets back to the Vic.. Archie has lost both of his daughters and grand daughters now,,,and his NEW wife..tuff noogies....
Geeze reading this,, I am obviously not making sense
Shaking my head at all the other stuff that went on...
Total sense JJ. Samantha Janus did such a good job.
And poor Janine she did not deserve this. She can be such a nasty piece. Darren send her over the edge. He was horrible, he could see that Ricky was pleading with Janine there.
And I do not understand Charlie being shocked by Stacies dress sense Ive seen worse on Kat. Thank goodness she didn't go all the way with Max. Let's not revisit that diaster.
She looked truly grieved when Danielle died. Good on Lacey.
I did not even notice the episode was extended when it was allready half past. It was gripping.
It was the smile on both their face when Danielle suddenly realise that Ronnie knew and then the Mum! from Danielle just before she dies in her arms :crying::crying:
i cant believe the amount of people talking about this on facebook, even people who dont usually watch eastenders watched it last night and had an opinion about it all. i reckon this is going to be one hell of a high rated episode.
whether people love it hate it, it's certainly living up to it's selling line 'Eastenders - everyone's talking about it'.
Can't wait to see the afermath, I'm just gutted we will probably be loosing Larry Lamb, as he's an amazing actor.
Anyone else reckon Pat and Janine will make up now? After all Pat ran someone to death didn't she back in 1993, so they might have some common ground here? Janine tries to make out she's an uber bitch, but behind the facade she's very vulnerable, and we saw this at the end of last night's episode.
What an episode :( - top class acting from Sam and Lauren (Ronnie and Danielle)
I was crying at the end :crying: Will Janine go to jail now even though it was accident
Why didnt Danielle move when she saw the car headlights  she was too overcome with emotion because Ronnie acknowledged her
Stacey the Slapper wearing Kat's reject clothes was back :thumbsdow
In regard to the car lot i thought Janine paid Jack money for it
I was really disappointed with the ending didn't read on here somewhere that Danielle had been seen on the web cam for May's episodes? Might she survive the crash?
I really enjoyed it, it was so sad at the end really well done.
Thought Ronnie, Roxy, danielle and Stacey were all good at the end
Liked Billy in the episode as well, he made is a bit more humerous.
One of the best episodes of Eastenders in a long time - great acting all round
Danielle's death spoilers of Janine being her killer were all true so from the start i expected it to be Janine
That little Dotty is an evil little brat  poor little Tiffany
i found it very disappointing wasn't impressed i fast forward some of it :( :( :( :(
i was thinking tho, have they never heard of cpr or anything, just to sit there and accept that she is dead without trying anything:searchme:
omg sooo dissapointing they dragged that storyline on and on was not the ending i hoped for and as for archie doesnt he play the bad guy well i hate him sooooo mutch haha wish they had let danielle live ronnie deserves some happiness.
My mum and dad accidently switched channels, saw it on and actually watched it after a good few years exc. Christmas specials!
I just watched it on iPlayer and I am in floods of tears! Amy & Jack - too cute :) Brilliant episode, however..
1) I found it highly predictable and I am annoyed how EE left it so long and then killed Danielle off, stupid and pointless. Ronnie deserves some happiness and it's actually really annoying me, stupid EE writers use your heads and do something else for once.
2) Surely when Janine is driving at the speed she was you should have been able to hear her approach Danielle/Ronnie earlier, so unrealistic.
3) As JW has mentioned, suprised Ronnie perform CPR or something
4) Hate Dotty, get her off! Tiffany - loveee the girl who plays her!
5) Hate Janine, selfish idiot.
6) Archie, hate him too but Larry is an AMAZING actor though!
Samantha is a fab actress, great performance even though it was just crying and things but the timing of emotions was good IMO. Mixed feelings on this really..
It always disappoints me when people in soaps just pronounce someone as dead too. They should at least wait for the ambulance. Really disappointed when it happened with Vera in Coronation st. as I said at the time.
I do think it was a brilliant episode though, and the acting was superb! Really nice that Danielle knew how her Mother felt at the end. :) Hope the episode / storyline gets some awards.
Ive just watched it. :( god that was good to watch, yes it was slow in parts but I thought it was great towards the end! Very very sad, and Ronnie was amazing, the crying and everything as painful as it was to watch it was acted amazingly.
I think Amy's dad is being too hard on Ronnie. She was only 14 when she had Danielle. What does a 14 year old know? Loosing a child is one of the hardest things to go through in this world. Today's episode had me in tears too!
