I noticed that when she was signing to Tracey and Mary, perhaps she has developed a habit of always signing when she speaks, but it does seem strange.

great to have norris back
geoff becoming a pr#ck
I was just about to say I really dislike Geoff.
Agree about Norris though.
Did Mary sign a pre-nup before she married Norris? I'm puzzled by how the sale of the house is being done without her knowledge.
Right put simply tonight, "enough of this crap" what the hell are you doing ITV. You are a flaming embarrassment. Sort it out.
Mary's screeching was enough for me to turn off but it is nice to have Norris back
She was off her trolley last night... First of all she's calling Norris's name as if he was actually in the urn, then throwing the ashes all over the carpet and running outside shrieking for about 10 minutes, or at least that's what it felt like. Seriously, it was like something from a bad sitcom...
Although it would have been funny if Norris had answered when she was saying his name (having just come through the door)...
I laughed my head of watching the fight between Mary and Freda I really enjoyed this episode
I enjoyed Geoff in the past and in Canada we have not seen Norris yet?
Does Mary sound a bit hoarse tonight after all that screeching on Monday? - Talk about suffering for her art!
did mary and norris ever consummate their marriage?
alya way into ryan fast
I’ve noticed in the last few years there’s more and more use of the word ‘get’ by a lot of the characters when asking for, or ordering something:
‘Can I get a coffee?’, as opposed to ‘Can I order a coffee?’, or even ‘Can I have a coffee?’
As I haven’t lived in the UK for more than twenty years, I wouldn’t know, so is it now commonplace in the UK to use the word ‘get’ erroneously?
I do remember a couple of years ago, when someone was in Roy's Rolls and said to Roy, ‘Can I get a cup of tea?”, to which Roy replied, ‘No, you’re the customer, I will get it for you.’
If I never saw another episode featuring the Gemma and Chesney relationship for the rest of my life it would be too soon.
Mary thought she was acting in a pantomime.
I can't decide who was worse - Norris for hiding the letters or Rita and Freda for opening and reading them..
She was. Or a Carry on.

To be fair to the poor old girl, The scenes with the younger cast were the best bits, the triangle with Ryan, Bethany and Alya is interesting. The scenes with Ali and Ryan are always good, they have a real rapport.
There was a glimmer of hope in Corrie last night, Norris and Emma was comedy gold and it was nice to have Betty mentioned.
The last few episodes have been really boring. Gemma still irresponsible at every opportunity, Mary acting like an idiot. I think 6 episodes a week mean they get desperate for stories and anything will do as long as it fills space. Only Carla and Peter storyline interesting, maybe it will pick up around Nick soon as well.
Could not agree more, as the number of episodes increased, quality decreased, unfortunately the world is now ruled by accountants and ad revenues. I wish they could go back to 2 or 3 episodes a week and have time to developed better stories but I don't think this will ever happen. This applies to all the soaps even the BBC which seems to feel the need to compete in the ratings war.
did paula get paid fully but now back after sophie again?
With that terrible moustache (in my opinion) Ryan reminds me of Walker in Dad's Army.
robert back driving?
mary talking to a bird, is brendan's brother staying to help her rebound?
carla looks well, she was staying in a posh hotel
Good to see Roy back and getting stuck into the search for Carla straight away. It must have been hard knowing that his friend needed professional help and that he would have to get that help behind her back. I liked their scenes together but it was a pity it was mixed in with scenes from the talent contest. I'd love to see a big chunk of the episode given over to the two of them talking about Carla's problems etc, maybe not a two-hander, but possibly the first half of the episode. That would be brilliant.
Agreed, emerald. The talent contest was dire. Corrie's attempts at humour these days are so clunky. They no longer have anyone who can write with a light touch. Such a shame for a soap that really made its reputation on grittiness interlaced with laugh out loud humour.
claudia will be mad, paying for rehab and peter leaves, roy getting peter to come out and take care of carla because he feels guilty is a bit much
