That was the idea.

With a white christmas in Walford, I doubt many there believe in Global Warming.

It did add an extra touch of drama to Cindy being turned out on Christmas night and left lying in the snow. Blood spilled on the tarmac visual image of blood on the snow. Shame everywhere else is having a mild christmas.

surely foot prints in the snow will help Detective Callum find who was moving Cindy or was it a snowfall after the murder, then why was Cindy "snow free"

I doubt DC Callum could find a hat if it was on his head. There was snow on the ground before Cindy was knocked out. But with all those out taking a walk for air of fresh air, I doubt any footprints could be traced.

Maybe polystyrene snow does not leave footprints
