I'm related to the Queen. She is the niece of the wife of the 3rd cousin twice removed of the husband of the wife of the great grandson of the wife of my first cousin five times removed. And that is absolutely true. So, pretty close I'd say! Also, it must mean we are related, Splashy! :D
I've just received my latest Pie 'n' Mash & Prefabs book sales totals. Between 1 Jan and 30 June this year, it sold 976 paperbacks and 3737 ebooks, making a grand total since publication on 5 March 2015 of 11215 paperbacks and 6449 ebooks - 17,664 copies altogether.
I have to say I think I'm quite pleased with that!
Yes there was. One ancestor I am currently researching was born around 1667.so I am still finding out more about her.
congrats mate.. to create something that others enjoy ..
To be boring re ancestry, our family tree links us to the Earl of Snowdon the photographer who married Prissiness Margaret, but I think its way cooler to say my best mate was the best mate of Craig David at school.
Its 6 am on the 9.11.2016 ... looks like Trump is the new USA president.
He was so busy calling Clinton names, have they any real idea what he will do in power?
Putin must be having a party, his new best mate is n power.
On lighter news I cant find my left slipper
This is how I feel right now: http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...-0119-puke.gif http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...-0119-puke.gif http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...-0119-puke.gif http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...-0119-puke.gif http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...-0119-puke.gif http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...-0119-puke.gif http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...-0119-puke.gif http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...-0119-puke.gif
Oh fudge I was hoping it was all a bad dream :(
But it seems someone has stolen my left slipper.
Racism must have been a huge factor, with exit polls showing his highest proportion of voters being white middle-class Americans - particularly men but also women!
With the KKK in the US and the far right the world over celebrating today, all decent and fair-minded people should worry about what's happening in the western world - including the UK (where Theresa May and her cabinet are out UKIP-ing UKIP and much of our media inciting hatred and violence without reproach). We should all be fearful about where this is leading. :(
I did not expect her to win .. people are sick and tired of the Clintons, from what I gathered ... Donald Trump seems to be a breath of fresh air he is a business man (successful) rather than politician .. the thing I am concerned about is that he will need expert advisors to help him with making political decisions .. lets hope there are no loose canons amongst them ... I think if they had chosen Bernie Sanders to run for the Democrats instead of Hillary Clinton, the result might have been different ..
^^All the above..
Wheres L H Oswald when you need him :cartman:
Mr Trump can I interest you in an open top car to drive round downtown Dallas near a picket fence
or maybe some theatre tickets.
he will deport any non rednecks from america :p
Well he stinks to me!
He's not quite as successful as he boasts either. He inherited huge wealth from his father (it's a hell of a lot easier to increase wealth than it is to build it from scratch) and many of his business ventures have gone bankrupt. Plus there's the little fact that of his incredible tax avoidance.
There can be no loose canon worse than Trump. His advisers and the Republican party have spent the past few months in vain desperately trying to reign him in. But in the end his nastiness and volatility just made him more attractive to a huge swathe of voters...
I am not in favour of him, please don´t misunderstand but I have lots of family in the US who voted for him because they could not stomach another Clinton as president. It was their arguments I stated .. I have no knowledge of US politics and I certainly share concerns about Mr Trumps attitude ... I do believe though that a different runner for the Democrats would have made a difference to the outcome .. Mrs HRC was the wrong choice ..
I would also like to thank whoever wrote Mr Trump´s victory speech ... sure was not Mr Trump´s way of natural conversation :p
Mrs May bent over and licked his trump end, shame she wasnt more like Angela Mertle Germanys leader who made it clear that you must not mess about Trumper.
Today had my swinging parts examined by a Doctor which was fun. But on the positive side apparently I dont have dutch elm disease.
Oh had my photos taken for my passport, machine kept telling me I was too ugly so wouldnt take them, assistant persuaded it to do so in the end. :crying:
I don't understand why she is so hated especially over Trump after some of his comments and actions, he is a sexiest racist against anyone who is not a die hard straight rich gun totting Republican American
His victory speech was very tamed compared to his previous speeches, I think he knows he will maybe have to reign it in and change his views to work with others but Republicans seem to have taken many seats
You forgot to add white to that list. :p
Hillary Clinton is hated because she's seen as very much part of the establishment, in bed with the banks, and a war monger (all of which appear to be true). And yet, objectively she was still a hundred times better than the alternative. The Democrats had a popular anti-establishment possibility in Bernie Sanders (a socialist and the US' version of Jeremy Corbyn) but the Democrat machine and money helped ensure Hillary won the primaries.
As Perdita says, Bernie Sanders had a better chance of winning against Trump because he's also an anti-establishment figure and doesn't have Hillary's distasteful past weighing him down. He would probably have appealed more than her to the many in the US (as in the rest of the Western world) who are understandably very angry with the establishment.
Katy Perry who was a big campaigner for Hilary, but said her parents voted for Trump :p
Clinton had many celebs on her side
:rotfl: Now Ive got to stump up 80 odd quid for the dam thing.
I know who wont be having a good day today, Obarma, he gets to hand shake the creep who campaigned to have him thrown out of office because he claimed he wasnt American relentlessly which was just a smoke screen that another agenda may of been hiding behind.
I agree re Hilary, she wasnt claiming she would get every American a job, she would of just employed all the usual croonies and self serving bods. Her lets say error of lets say morals over the email scandal would of perhaps maybe possibly of been a court case in lets say umm a less oh lets say wealthy well connected individuals situation.
I think its a very dangerous time for the world, lets just hope the actual democratic power in congress etc can reign in Trumper. The man seriously is a very bad joke that has gone way tooooooo far.
Just reflecting on those that sacrificed all, so we can be who we are today.
