INT. EXETER AIPRORT - MORNING

Kash, Sanjita, Ruby, Iqbal, Marcus, Andonis and Mohammed are all in the cafe at the airport, drinking coffee, awaiting their flight.

Marcusing is talking to Andonis who looks down.

Marcus: Hey, whats up mate...you should be happy..your off to India for a few days...

Andonis: (sarcastic) Oh...i can hardly wait...

Marcus: Mind you a family wedding isnt on the top of my wish list either...

Andonis: I've only just broke up with Emma...i could do without the romantic love ceremonies, know what i mean?

Marcus: Yeah mate... well it's gonna take time to get over Emma...she obviously meant the world to you...

Marcus sees Ruby catching glances at him whilst talking to her parents and Iqbal.

Marcus: Look when we get back from India...I'll take you out on the pull...show you what you've been missing out on...alright?

Andonis: Yeah i suppose...

Andonis cheers up a bit. Ruby hears what Marcus has just said, and speak loudly to make sure he hears.

Ruby: Oh i cant wait for this wedding you know... so romantic... i just love it when people are honest about their feelings for one another...

Kash: Definatley...honesty is always the best policy...

Ruby smiles inncoently, unaware of Kash's scheme. Sanjita gives Kash dirty looks of dissaproval, but he ignores them.

INT. EXETER AIRPORT - DAY

The Singhs are walking down the coridoor, ready to board the plane. Sanjita still has an angry face.

Kash: Cheer up Sanjita... your going to a wedding for heavens sake!

Sanjita: Forgive me for not being all smiles... but i happen to find it disguting the way you are treating our daughter!

Kash: (under breath) Sanjita, this is nor the place or the time to be having this disuccion!

Sanjita: What scared that she'll find out!?

Kash: I am not scared of anyone, especially my own daughter! Look right I am doing will benefit the entire family...

Sanjita: And what about Ruby!? The person it'll actually affect...

Kash: What about her!?

Sanjita: You dont see anything wrong in enforcing a marraige onto her!? A marraige to someone she hasnt ever meet!?

Kash: I'm aware of teh circumstances Sanjita...and i know its the best option...she'll thank me for it eventually...

Kash boards the plane. Sanjita shakes her head in disgust and hesitantly follows.

INT. INDIAN HOTEL - DAY


The Singhs walk into the hotel lobby and check in. Mohammed runs off to the bookshelevs and picks out a book to read.

Andonis: Have they got a pool here dad?

Kash: They should do the price im paying for us to stay here...

Andonis: I'm off to find one then...

Andonis walks off...

Kash: Andonis!

Sanjita: Oh just leave him Kash, he justs wants to enjoy his time here... you deserve him that at least...

Kash: I beg your pardon?

Sanjita: Well you've made him split with his girlfriend... just give him a break...

Kash shrugs off this commnet as a family of Indians walk up to them...

Kash: Oh its the Khans...

Sanjita: Who?

Kash: Our future in laws...

Kash walks over to them and shakes their hand.

Ajit: Kashmire! Long time no see... a pleasure to meet you again...

Kash: You pleasure is all mine Ajit, all prepared for the big event?

Kash: Yes of course... you know my son... Rajan dont you?

Kash shakes hands with Rajan...

Rajan: May i see Rubina? Have a look at my future wife?

Kash: Of course... (calls over to Ruby) Ruby... could you come over here for a second.

Ruby: Yeah sure

Ruby walks over to the group with a smile on her face.

Kash: Ruby...these are the Khans... our future in laws...

Ruby: (Shakes hands) Hi, a pleasure to meet you all, i cant wait until the wedding...

Kash: Neither can I, it will be good to see your cousin Kamala get married...

Ajit and Rajan have a confused look on their face. Kash makes eye contact with them assuring them everything is fine.

Sanjita looks on at the scene in disgutst, she shakes her head in disgust and storms off. Iqbals sees this and follows her in concern.

:eek: kash is evil *nods* i don't like him! You tell him Sanjita, and poor ruby!

EXT: INDIAN HOTEL

Sanjita is standing on the grounds of the Indian Hotel, looking out over the view. Iqbal comes up behind her...

Iqbal: What was all that about?

Sanjita doesn't reply. She looks out at the scenery, before replying...

Sanjita: Its beautifull out here isn't it... You know, i thought i could stop him. Make him see that she doesn't deserve this. When we got here, like....

Iqbal: Your not making sense...

Sanjita: I shouldn't have let it get this far... I've been stupid. So, so stupid. And now...

Iqbal: Whats going on?! You can tell me...

Sanjita: ...And now its too late...

Iqbal: Too late for what?!

Sanjita: That family... they're.... they're...

Iqbal: Oh yeah, thats the groom isn't it? They seem alright enough...

Sanjita: you really think so? Good enough for....for...

Iqbal: For what?!

Sanjita: Ruby...

Iqbal: (laughs) Well, you know, i think she'd have a few things to say first! I dunno really... anyway, its not like its true or...

Sanjita: It is. Kash.... Kash is making her have an aranged marriage, and... and i dont know what to do....

Sanjitas eyes well up with tears...

Iqbal: he's doing WHAT?! That man?! He's... he's marrying Ruby?! What does she think about this?!

Sanjita: She doesn't know.... What am i gonna do?!

Iqbal looks shocked, while he comforts Sanjita...

What will Iqbal do? How will Ruby react?

Iqbal should beat him up. yeah. probably wont happen though. and sanjita would be like "yeah!" and ruby would be like "yeah!" and I would be like "YEAH!!! WHOOOOO!!!"

tell ruby and let her like disown Kash or something ohhh yes i like........

EXT: INDIAN HOTEL

Iqbal is still on the balcony of the hotel, reeling from the shock of what Sanjita told him. Kash walks past, looking for Sanjita. He walks over...

Kash: Have you seen Sanjita? She stormed off earlier...

Iqbal rolls his eyes...

Iqbal: As if you care...

Kash: Excuse me?!

Iqbal: You dont care about her! You dont care about any of us!

Kash: Everything i have done is for hte benefit of this family. I've worked my whole life for...

Iqbal: (interupts) And yet, you insist on destroying your own daughters life!

Kash: I.... I dont know what your on about. Now listen here, Iqbal. I have raised my family...

Iqbal: (inerupts again) Oh, dont act all the innocent. I know, alright? So no more screwing around. I mean, come on! Do you have no morals?! How can you do this to her? To Ruby of all people!

Kash:I've done what is best for my daughter. She is my daughter, i know what she needs.

Iqbal: Stop kidding yourself! You just can't accept that she's a normal young woman! Not everyone is like Sanjita- not everyone will bow down to you. Let Ruby have her own life. Let her make her own mistakes. Dont try and rule her like this!

Kash: I'm protecting my daughter. And this is none of your buisness. All the plans are set, nothing can change that now.

Iqbal: Are you deliberatly trying to treat your family like ****?!

Marcus overhears this, and walks out in a rage...

Marcus: OK, can someone tell me what the hell is going on?

EXT: INDIAN HOTEL

Iqbal and Kash are staring at each other, hatefully, on the balcony. Marcus is standing nearby...

Marcus: Well? Whats going on?

Kash: Never mind, its none of your buisness.

Iqbal: Your can't deny this anymore, Kash. He has a right to know as much as anyone else.

Marcus: I am here you know!

Iqbal: Oh really? The hitman must have got the wrong address :rolleyes: You deserve to know. This.... this man is making Ruby have an arranged marriage.

Marcus: He's doing WHAT?!

Iqbal: An arranged marriage. That family in there... well, meet the in-laws.

Marcus: How the hell can you do this? She's your daughter, Kash, not your possession!

Kash: I'm doing whats right for -

Marcus: (interupts) For yourself, thats who! How can you stand by and do that to her? Destroy her life like that! Its sick, Kash. Just sick.

Kash: Its a well known Indian tradition.

Marcus: My **** it is! That went out the window years ago! You need to get a grip on things, Kash, and let her make her own mistakes.

Kash: I know exactly what i'm doing.

Marcus: Well you obviously dont, if you'll do this to your own flesh and blood! Or maybe someone needs to makes you get a grip.

Marcus clenches this hand, and goes to punch Kash. Iqbal grabs his hand before he manages this, and twists it back, forcing Marcus to turn the other direction. He holds his hand behind Marcus's back, and drags him away. Marcus shouts...

Marcus: He deserves this, Iqbal!...... You'll get whats coming to you, Kash!
