I hope Muggles is found safe and still alive parkerman
Car passed its MOT (well I dont drive it re me peepers land lady does) new cooker installed and handy man has fixed a couple of doors here. Been a productive day.
Oh and my new kitchen in my flat is awesome, I was going to say something crass about considering you couldnt swing a....then thought of Mugles...
Have officially watched all the movies on sky so have started on the box sets, land lady is happy as she can now catch up on walking dead... her fav character is now seeking new employment after Mondays show, but mine is still hanging there. (shes as OCD as me, I got her the one terabyte box but she cant stand to use more than 5% of the memory and deletes everything!!)
Carol is my fave too, I love how the zombie invasion has actually been the making of her :D
Just seen the thread about Parkermans cat so sad to hear this. I have only had my cat a few weeks and we have all become so attached to her. I am dreading the day she goes out for the first time in this area due to all the foxes around here. shes too young yet and weak as she is a rescue cat and i think she was half starved when they found her. But when i think of something happening to her its very similar to that of feelings for your child. When i wake up i rush to go and see her and it makes my morning. I can only imagine feelings get stronger as they age with you.
I'm glad to hear you all love your new cat so much, swmc66. :)
Keep her indoors, all my cats were indoor cats, they don´t miss going out if they don´t know it. In fact, one of my cats never wanted to go out and was crying at the front door the one day I pushed him out just to get an idea of his surroundings. Ninja just loved to sit on the window sill and observe what was going on outside. :D
I would rather do that. I think she will not want to go outside as she ended up in a rescue as i think she got lost one day.
You can get little harnesses and when she is a bit older and stronger you can take her on a little walk, if she wants to do that. I let Ninja out just once so he could get a look at and smell of the surroundings in case he ever did get outside after getting spooked or so. At least then (so I think) it helps cats to find their way home again if they are just indoor cats. So what is your kitten called? So glad you are enjoying her company and I am sure she will be ever grateful for having got a good home for the rest of her life :D
Thank you. I have a harness so will do that. My daughter named her Luna after a girl in harry potter.
Got a wedding in bingley in bradford and then next day celebration called a Walima in Leeds. Got to drive to a place in rochdale to stay two days and travel to and fro to Bradford and Leeds. My husband said his relatives lived in bradford so i agreed to stay but then when i asked them for their postcde they gave me a rochdale one. Needless to say i was a bit mad as Manchester s my home town and i could have stayed with any of my relatives and felt more relaxed. Anyway the place i am staying is amazing .could not believe it when i saw it on the internet..like staying in a posh hotel. So all is well although i have to drive all dressed up on a daily basis and drive an hour here and there.
i think i will need a break after this one!
Have a good one swmc66.
Is it only me that keeps getting windows updates that take hours to install? Im beggining to think Bill Gates has it in for me as I once out bid him on Steven Hawkins Under pants.
Oh boy, and West World started out so well, I give it a 3 stars on the snooze along rating now.
I think a lot of people get that
I don't use Windows any more but I certainly used to find the updates annoying - especially when they restart your computer without warning!
I'm disappointed to hear Westworld has gone downhill, Splashy. I was really looking forward to watching it! :(
So youre a Mac user *spits on floor* :moonie::D
Never a fan of Apple, Steve Jobs was always anti anyone messing with his kit, you bought it, you used it as it is or jog on was his policy. But that was way back then before smart phones etc and now im totally out of date re andrioid etc etc as I cant see that well to use them. Back in my day you got a box the size of half the room stuck some stuff in and hoped you could play pac man on it after two months of typing in code. One month of that was just for the pretty picture that came up when you started the game. :wall:
Had 8oz rump steak for lunch and great company of family.
Dont take my word on west world, I snooze easily or maybe I was just just waiting for Yule Brinner to turn up :cartman:
Do we have any updates on Mugles?
I want to check out West World too, but I'm not sure I really want to add another show to my already long list. I think I need to get out more :D
Linux.. that was what I was trying to remember, had a weird convo once with the actor who played Wesley Crusher on Star Trek Next Gen about that, well he said he was the actor, who knows, in reality he was probably a diner lady from Grange Hill.
9 epps of Eastenders ..YIKES :hmm:
whats this new concept "going out" :ninja: (13 years totally acrophobia ,Im leaning)
It probably was the real Wesley Crusher lol. I hear Wil Wheaton is very active on the internet and quite the geek. :D
Its taken me nearly 6 hours to get to Rochdale! It was supposed to be 4. Just going to bed now and have to be up at 6 again.
Just so i can see a childhood friend before the wedding. Friday afternoon is not a good time to drive to another city. But it was interesting as i ended up taking a 12 year old grl with me ...my friends sister who needed to get back home up north after half term. She has become addicted to coronation street after kylie killed Calum. She was impressed with my spoilers and even more impressed when i said the guy who plays kevin was in my brothers maths class. She was really good company and i am meeting up with her again tomorrow. Missing my cat though.

Today I raked the leaves AGAIN" Dam you trees :nono:
My flat has gardeners, thats sorted, here we have massive trees all about and we aint allowed to hack them down :( . Had to get sat disk stuck on a massive pole to get a signal and even then if a squirrel farts we have issues :wall:
Its the day after they emptied the garden waste bin and already its half full with leaves. to quote myself "dam you trees"
Wildlife here make for a great watch I have to say and the animals as well :ninja:
I am so exhausted it feels as i have just been driving for days. Yesterday i went from rochdale to bradford then leeds then rochdale again and then blackburn and i think my sat nav was taking me the long route everytime. So much road works etc on weekend as well. Anyway i went to Blackburn at 10pm last night as i had the opportunity to see a childhood friend who i had not seen since i was about 15. That was 35 years ago. Its was so nice to see her and catch up. I got back to rochdale 1am and feeling it now.
I also saw another childhood friend in the morning in rochdale before the wedding and sat for a while with her mum who has dementia. She remembered me and my family and i showed her lots of old photos on my phone. She has strong memories of my dad as he helped her with a lot of paperwork and applications for benefits when her husband walked out for another women.. Her kids were very young then. I remember that time clearly. In 2004 she went to our old house in manchester to try and see my dad as she just felt she wanted to see him after so many years. They told her her had moved a while back and had ended up moving down south to be nearer hs grown up kids and that he had just died a few days ago. Her and her daughter came to london the next day to see us all . So it was nice seeing her.
Hordes of sugar infused ghosts & ghouls invaded the close tonight!
We ran out of candy so had to take in the pumpkin, alas not all sprogs parents know the rules about only knock on the door where a pumpkin glows.
Land lady is a teacher so most of the cold calling fright night addressed her like it was a school assembly :D
Only one boy turned up at my door so a very easy halloween. I think they all were busy with Diwali
Property Management tools want to install a door entry system, which is fine. they trying to con us that it wont cost us anything as it comes out of the emergency fund.. the emergency fund which the owners of the flats paid into!! How thick do they think we are.?
Anywho they are telling me where the phone will be installed, in the hallway by the main door to the flat, which happens to be only 5 foot deep and enclosed by the inner door to the flat... which would mean probably you will never hear someone trying to buzz your flat to get in as the inner door is designed to keep communal noise out from the stair well!
Its all ridiculous as the owner of the land seems to be just telling us thats what they have arranged and tough noogies if you dont like it. Well Ive got time on my hand so I think they may regret being so heavy handed, if Im going to pay for something I want it to be what I want not what Im told to have,
Today I paid the window cleaner in cash and gave him some warm water :cartman:
What a ridiculous situation with the proposed door entry system, Splashy! I hope you give that domineering owner what for.
Oh I will Dazzle, I will :ninja:
So whos up for going to ASDA later? I like to push the boat out on a Friday and get a peperami pizza, with extra cheese,,, yes extra cheese :cartman:
Count me in! The ASDA freshly made pizzas from the pizza counter are really nice (I'll go for the spicy veg version). http://www.picgifs.com/smileys/smile...nks-656864.gif
Throw some dead animal pieces on it and count me in :p
Hope the neighbours will give us all a good show tonight, its cheaper watching other peoples fireworks, but I will contribute with my one rocket, it cost me a massive one pound of my earth monies.
Home alone this weekend, landlady is leading a horde of rabid girls into loot Brighton, also known as a guide pack on a fun weekend.. :rotfl:
Last night ran a test run on setting off rockets ready for next weekends party, managed to bounce two off a tree and a third got stuck in a branch. the problem is next door has huge trees over hanging the garden and they are protected by the council. But I think Ive found a way over them now.
Looking forward to Tuesday night and the USA elections. Could a real sexist racist twerp really be elected and actually be worse than George W Bush and Clintons.
Since my redundancy last year I am still getting job refusals by the armfull, ( to date I have had 18!!!) However yesterday things began to look a bit more positive, one of the job agencies I am with e mailed me to tell me a vacancy had come up and would I ring back asap. I am now waiting to hear from the employer as to whether I am to have an interview or not. Meanwhile, I busied myself with the endless conveyer belt of housework which keeps me fit. Going to my local library later to continue with my family ancestry. So far I have reached 1852!!
