Simon Cowell has reportedly ordered extra rehearsals for the X Factor finalists.
The judge is said to have been disappointed by the standard of last week's semi-final and apparently held an emergency meeting yesterday in which it was agreed to stage two full dress rehearsals before tomorrow's show.
A show insider told The Mirror: "Simon made it clear everything has to be perfect. He wants everything to run like clockwork, especially after the controversy last weekend.
"We are all in doing a full day and night on Friday now as well as working flat-out all weekend. He told the singers and us to raise our game for the final. It will be exhausting but we can pull it off."
Cowell - who has cancelled his time off in order to participate in the rehearsals - recently heaped praise on the remaining four acts in the competition.
The final of The X Factor begins tomorrow at 7pm on ITV1.
Rapper Cher: Sat’s all folks:
CHER Lloyd has already thrown in the towel and reckons she will be booted out tomorrow night.
The rapper - favourite to go - said she would not see off fellow finalists Matt Cardle, Rebecca Ferguson and One Direction.
Cher, 17, who will duet with Black Eyed Peas star Will.I.Am on Saturday, shrugged: "I'm going to go out with a bang.
"I've got Mr Will.I.Am with me so I'm going to rock it out. But I do expect to be going on Saturday. It's fine. I could have gone a fair few weeks ago. I'm a rapper. Normally people like me don't get a chance on these shows."
But Cher reckoned she does not deserve the abuse and online hate campaigns she suffers. She said: "I'm not the person I get made out to be, but I know who I am."
And Simon Cowell praised her, saying: "She's been a bit of a brat at times but who hasn't? She's fun to work with and respectful."
Tomorrow's show will see Dannii's act Matt duet with Rihanna, Cheryl's Rebecca, 24, with Christina Aguilera and Simon's One Direction with Robbie Williams.
The finalist with the lowest public vote will go, then the final three are eliminated on Sunday.
Tensions rose at the pre-final press conference yesterday - as Simon told Cheryl: "You won't win. Looking after two people means your attention is divided. My attention is solely on my act. I think they can win."
Cheryl replied: "It's not about me winning it's about them. I think I've got two very special girls."
She also blasted Simon for stealing her salute at the start of the show - prompting him to vow to show footage tomorrow of him doing it first on American Idol.
And Cheryl, 27, who turned up in sexy open-toed boots, shrugged off her fashion rivalry with Dannii, 39 - and revealed the Aussie breastfeeds baby Ethan backstage.
She said: "I've got a huge amount of admiration for Dannii. She's breastfeeding one second and then on stage the next."
Dannii added: "The baby is backstage all the time. But Cheryl and I love to get dressed up and it feels like an event every weekend."
I think a Matt and Rebecca final with Matt winning is the best option for me
Come on Cardle and Team Minogue
The four potential X Factor winners' singles for this year's finalists have been revealed, according to sources.
For the first time in the show's history, Simon Cowell is allowing all the acts to sing their own tracks. The Syco boss made the decision following Joe McElderry's failure to land the Christmas number one spot last year with his version of Miley Cyrus's 'The Climb'.
It is believed that Matt Cardle's track is Biffy Clyro's 'Many Of Horror', while Cher Lloyd is apparently lined up to cover Shontelle's 'Impossible'.
Rebecca Ferguson has reportedly recorded a version of Duffy's 'Distant Dreamer', and One Direction are said to be tackling Alphaville's 'Forever Young'.
The X Factor final kicks off on Saturday at 7pm on ITV1.
'X Factor' final song choices leakedA number of the X Factor finalists' song choices have been revealed.
Matt Cardle, Rebecca Ferguson, Cher Lloyd and One Direction will potentially sing four songs over the weekend if they make it to the results show on Sunday. On Saturday, they will apparently play one new track followed by a celebrity duet.
Cardle is expected to open the show with a cover of 'Here With Me', followed by a performance of 'Unfaithful' with Rihanna. Online reports also suggest that he will cover Katy Perry's 'Firework' if he reaches Sunday. Cardle's winner's single is reportedly a take on Biffy Clyro's 'Many Of Horror'.
Ferguson's songlist apparently includes versions of 'Just Like A Star', a duet of 'Beautiful' with Christina Aguilera and her winner's single will be Duffy's 'Distant Dreamer'.
One Direction are lined up to perform Elton John's 'Your Song' before tackling 'She's The One' with special guest Robbie Williams. Their winner's single is a cover of 'Forever Young' and they are also rumoured to be singing Natalie Imbruglia's 'Torn' if they reach Sunday's show.
Meanwhile, Lloyd will apparently take on an ambitious mash-up of 'Boom, Boom Shake The Room' and 'Whip My Hair' on Saturday followed by a duet with will.i.am on 'Where Is The Love?'. Her winner's single will be a cover of Shontelle's 'Impossible'.
I was hoping for Matt to sing Roberta Flack or Bruno Mars again, as they normally choose their best performance from the series to sing in the finale.
Cher Lloyd has been eliminated from The X Factor, after finishing in fourth place in Saturday's live show.
For the first time this series, there was no sing-off, meaning that the act with the least amount of the public vote would be eliminated.
In no particular order, host Dermot O'Leary announced that Rebecca Ferguson, One Direction and finally Matt Cardle had made it to tomorrow's final.
After watching her highlights from the series, O'Leary told Lloyd: "There's been so many tears on this stage, it's good to see you with a smile."
Lloyd, with mentor Cheryl Cole by her side, said: "I want to give a big thank you... to everybody who believed in me."
She added: "My highlight throughout was standing on stage with will.i.am. I can't believe I had the opportunity to do that."
Cher had sung a version of 'The Clapping Song' mixed with 'Get Ur Freak On', followed by a duet with the Black Eyed Peas singer on 'I Gotta Feeling' and 'Where Is the Love?'.
The X Factor winner will be announced in tomorrow night's show, at 7.30pm on ITV1.
I thought One Direction would have went tonight as I think Cher's performance was better, but Cher has been in the bottom two and her reputation goes before her. Let's hope she learns from her behaviour on the show otherwise she will get nowhere, which will be a shame as she has got a good voice.
Simon Cowell has ruled out the chances of a Girls Aloud X Factor theme week.
Last year, Cowell said on the Xtra Factor that he would "guarantee" a night based around the hits of the girlband.
When his broken promise was brought up by a caller on last night's show, the Syco boss said that he had changed his mind after discussing the idea with viewers.
"We asked the public if they'd like it and they said no," he told Konnie Huq. "82% of the people we asked said 'no'."
Teasing his fellow judge and Girls Aloud band member Cheryl Cole, he added: "A couple more hits and maybe we'll think about it."
