RIP Jade Goody. My thoughts are with her family. I'm glad that she is no longer suffering anymore.
Same here, we were all expecting it but for some reason its still hard hitting. Im not gonna sit here and pretend I was the biggest fan of hers but I still feel quite saddened by this, especially considering how young she was. The majority of us (including me) don't know how lucky we are at the moment to be honest.
Big Brother producers have vowed to pay tribute to Jade Goody when the show returns for its tenth series this summer, a report claims.
Goody, who died following a battle with cancer today, became an overnight star after appearing on the Channel 4 reality show in 2002.
An insider told the News Of The World: "Jade was Big Brother. She completely embodied the show.
"This series is a milestone for the show, reaching the decade, so it will be made in tribute to Jade. The series is dedicated to her."
The programme's host Davina McCall is expected to speak about her memories of Goody in the live launch episode. A tribute video of the star's best moments on the show is also likely to feature.
The Big Brother source added: "We have all looked on in horror at what was happening to [Jade] after she became ill. Our biggest star, our only real star, faded in front of our eyes.
"We cannot deny Jade's importance to Big Brother and we definitely can't deny how much she meant to our viewers. They genuinely loved her and so did we."
Goody was first diagnosed with cervical cancer in August last year. The disease later spread to her liver, bowel and groin.
Tributes have been posted for Jade Goody on the Digital Spy forums after news of her death was announced this morning.
Fans of the star since her introduction to the British public as a "dental nurse from London" on the 2002 series of Big Brother have posted messages on her appreciation thread.
"Rest in peace Jade sweetheart," said Hotscotch. The member added: "My thoughts are very much with her boys and family today. I am going to try and enjoy my children even more today although I can't stop crying at the moment."
Another member, geraniums, posted: "What can I say? Jade - you made me laugh, made me cry, made me angry and made me exasperated. But overall, your sheer zest for life, your determination, and big heart all made me like you. You made mistakes - by God what mistakes! - but in the end you sought to take care of your two lovely boys in the only way you knew. You liked being in the public eye so much because you said it made you feel loved. That tells us a lot about your childhood.
"So rest in peace Jade - and thanks for the memories, both good and bad. Much sympathy to your two boys, family and friends."
EddyBee said: "RIP Jade, my sweet princess, and thank you."
Other tributes have been added to threads elsewhere in the forums.
"RIP Jade," said GetMeOuttaHere. "Thanks for making me laugh, scream, cry and get mad at your sheer ignorance at times. Above all thanks for showing me you were human and made mistakes like the rest of us."
Jade Cerisa Lorraine Goody was born on June 5, 1981 to parents Andrew and Jackiey.
Jackiey Budden brought up Jade in Bermondsey, South London. Her father Andrew Goody, who left Jackiey Budden when Jade was aged two, served several prison sentences and died at the age of 42 from a drug overdose.
In her 2006 autobiography, Goody revealed that as a child she had witnessed her mother and friends talking illegal drugs. She also claimed to have hidden her mother's drugs before police raids on their home.
At the age of 21 she was brought to the public's attention on Channel 4 reality show Big Brother. Introduced by Davina McCall as a "dental nurse from London", she quickly became one of the biggest characters in the series.
Her most notable moments on the show included stripping totally naked when drunk, allegedly participating in a sex act with fellow housemate PJ and asking questions such as "is East Anglia abroad" and "Rio de Janeiro, ain't that a person?"
Goody was vilified by the press during her time in the house, but survived until the final, where she finished fourth behind eventual winner Kate Lawler. Despite being ridiculed for her behaviour on the show, Goody went on to earn the most money out of all BB3 contestants, picking up numerous TV appearances, fitness DVD contracts and magazine deals.
She would go on to become one of Britain's most famous and divisive reality TV stars, appearing on shows including Wife Swap with Major Charles Ingram and Channel 5's Back To Reality, where her behaviour towards fellow contestant Rik Waller was criticised as bullying.
Alongside her mainstream TV work, she also starred in a string of Living reality series, such as Just Jade, Jade's PA and Jade: The Next Chapter, which featured insights into her colourful private life.
At the height of her fame she was ranked the 25th most influential person in the world by Heat magazine. She also released two best-selling autobiographies in 2006 and 2008, and with her Shh... Jade Goody fragrance had one of the most successful celebrity perfume brands in the UK.
Goody's love life included relationships with TV presenter Jeff Brazier and footballer Ryan Amoo. Brazier is the father of Jade's two sons, Freddie and Bobby, who were born in Essex. She met future husband Jack Tweed at a nightclub in 2005. Tweed lied to Goody about his occupation, age and heritage on their first meeting, but the couple still entered a long-term tumultuous relationship. The reality TV star claimed that Tweed made her feel "alive" and "special" and regularly praised his behaviour around her kids.
Following allegations about Tweed sleeping with other women and Goody's miscarriage with his child in 2007, the pair ended their relationship. Their on-off romance was rekindled in 2008 when she fell ill with cancer.
Goody, Tweed and Jackiey Budden all appeared together on Celebrity Big Brother in 2007. The trio's arrival on the reality show would spark the most controversial moment in the Channel 4 show's history and Goody's career. Goody, S Club 7 singer Jo O'Meara and glamour model Danielle Lloyd were accused of racism and bullying towards Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty, prompting 44,500 viewer complaints to Ofcom. The incident was discussed on news broadcasts and commented on by the future Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
After leaving the house, Goody denied that she was a racist, but admitted that she was "disgusted" by her actions. Her publicist Max Clifford claimed that her decision to return to Big Brother was "terrible", confessing that it may have "ruined a very lucrative career". Despite several public apologies, Goody lost tabloid support and several business deals following the controversy.
She went on to appear on the Indian version of Big Brother in August 2008, where she was told the news that she had cervical cancer in the diary room. She immediately flew home to the UK, where she discovered that the cancer was "advanced and life-threatening". In February 2009, Max Clifford confirmed that the cancer had spread to her liver, bowel and groin, meaning she probably only had months to live.
Goody launched a PR campaign to raise cash for her two sons, selling pictures of her wedding to Jack Tweed on February 22, 2009 to OK! magazine for £700,000. The publicity generated by Goody's illness dramatically increased the numbers of females requesting cervical smears in the UK, with an estimated 20 per cent boost in tests.
She is survived by her husband Jack Tweed, mother Jackiey, 50, and two sons Bobby, 5 and Freddie, 4.
RIP Jade x
obviously there are going to be many news reports about this today and in subsequent days, but i don't think we need to bombard the boards with all of them, so plus can be stop posting them. thanks.
RIP Jade. Worst day for her to go :( xxx
R.I.P jade...........
We can send man to the moon, and information over the world at a click of a button, but we can't find a cure for cancer? How many more people must we loose to this awful awful disease?
I shall admit I didn't like Jade, I found her a vile person, and I really didn't approve of this whole publicity media circus that has surrounded her death, but as a feelow human being I can not help but to feel sorry for her dying at such a young age in such an awful way, and leaving behind such young boys. It is a very very sad story in deed.
R.I.P
On mothers day of all days - RIP Jade - thoughts and wishes go to her family especially her two boys x
RIP Jade - finally her suffering is over
My prayers go out to her two little boys
I really hope this media circus will now end
Jade is free from pain now, which in the coming days and weeks her family will take comfort. Let's hope her two boys are given the privacy to grieve and grow-up away from the public eye.
R.I.P Jade (The new star in the sky tonight)
R.I.P Jade
jade is gone but we won't forget her
RIP Jade
I hope the media stops comparing her to Princess Diana
7 pages of our local paper are taken over by Jade's death this morning (Scottish Daily Record).
Although I feel sorry for her family and he kids especially:
I didn't know her
I didn't want to know her
THIS IS NOT NEWS.
Typical of the press to be so hypocritical - a couple of years ago, Jade was vilified by the media after her behaviour on the Celebrity BB show. Now they are treating her like a princess. I am sick and tired of reading about her and skip the articles about her. I hope that once the funeral has been held, the media find somebody else to concentrate on. I feel sorry for her family and the two boys, but she is not the first and will not be the last mother to lose her life in tragic circumstances.
The funeral of reality television star Jade Goody will take place at a church near her home early next month, a family spokesman has said.
Goody, who died on Sunday aged 27, after losing her battle with cervical cancer, will be buried following a church service in Buckhurst Hill, Essex, on Saturday, April 4.
The funeral procession is to leave her home in Upshire, Essex, at noon and then make its way to St John The Baptist Church, in Buckhurst Hill, via Loughton.
It is not yet clear where Goody will be buried and details of the service have yet to be finalised.
But Goody's widower Jack Tweed may be forced to miss the farewell if he is jailed later this week.
Tweed is already on licence after being released from prison earlier this year.
He was handed an 18-month sentence by a judge at Chelmsford Crown Court in September 2008 after being convicted of assaulting a 16-year-old boy with a golf club.
The court heard that Tweed - and an accomplice - attacked the teenager following a row in Ongar, Essex, in December 2006.
Tweed, of Buckhurst Hill, Essex, was seen leaving Miss Goody's home on Sunday.
Tweed will appear before magistrates for sentencing on Thursday for assaulting a taxi driver in May 2008.
The 21-year-old was convicted earlier this month of attacking Stephen Wilkins during a cab ride.
Magistrates adjourned sentencing in Epping, Essex, and warned Tweed they were considering imprisonment.
A spokeswoman for Harlow Magistrates Court, where the sentencing is due to take place, confirmed the hearing was still scheduled to go ahead.
From Sky News
we already know when the funeral is its all over the internet and the papers we cant get away from it... its not news anymore its gone beyond all that
Jack will not miss the funeral. If he is given a prison sentence on Thursday he will be accompanied to the service by prison officers. If anyone is going to bombard the press with reports on Jade's funeral or anything else it will be Jack going for the sympathy vote hoping that the courts let him off. Jade's suffering and death is sad because no-one that young should die, but she was not the only young mum to die of this terrible disease but I think Jack will try and use Jade's death as a plea to stay out of prison, even though there are prisoners who have family members dying and they can't get out to be with them. If Jack is found guilty he should accept the punishment and not use the funeral as an excuse to avoid jail.
Friends of Jade Goody have revealed that she chose Aerosmith's 1998 single 'I Don't Want To Miss A Thing' to be played at her funeral.
According to The Mirror, the song had special meaning to the former reality star because it was played at her wedding to Jack Tweed.
"It will be very moving to hear that again after it meant so much on her big day. There won't be a dry eye in the church," said one friend.
Goody, who died of cancer on Sunday, also requested that another, more up-beat song be played to remind mourners of "enjoying herself in happier days".
Tweed, her mother Jackiey Budden and two of her bridesmaids will give readings at the April 4 memorial, alongside grandfather John Caddock, who walked her down the aisle last month.
Thousands of people are expected to line the route from her home to St. John The Baptist Church in Buckhurst Hill, Essex, with some reports suggesting that there will be a convoy of up to 21 cars.
TV screens will be erected outside the chapel for those who wish to watch the service, while proceedings will commence with Goody's favourite hymn 'All The Small Things'.
Earlier, it was reported that Tweed could miss the funeral if he is imprisoned in relation to an assault charge.
Jack Tweed has been told that he can attend his late wife Jade Goody's funeral, after a sentencing hearing for his assault charge was postponed.
The 21-year-old's presence at the memorial had been cast in doubt as he faced a possible prison sentence at the hearing tomorrow, after being found guilty of attacking a taxi driver earlier this month.
According to Sky News, the hearing has now been postponed until April 16, allowing Tweed to pay his respects to the former reality star, who died of cancer on Sunday.
Thousands of people are expected to line the route from Goody's home to St. John The Baptist Church in Buckhurst Hill, Essex on April 4, with some reports suggesting that there could be a convoy of up to 21 cars.
Tweed is currently under curfew following his early release from jail in January, after he was previously convicted of attacking a pub manager with a golf club.

Southwark Council is reportedly planning a permanent memorial for Jade Goody, who passed away from cervical cancer on Sunday.
According to the Daily Star, officials are hoping to revamp the Dickens Estate in Bermondsey, South London, where Goody spent her childhood years.
"Residents in the area love Jade and she brought Bermondsey to the front of peoples’ minds," said a source, who claimed that the council had been inundated with requests for a memorial.
"It will be a really lovely way to remember the girl who captured the nation’s hearts and we hope her family be really pleased."
Bosses are reportedly planning to apply for a blue memorial plaque to immortalise the star's connection to the area, as well as constructing a community centre in her name and planting a tree in her honour.
"We’d be very open to discussions about some form of commemoration for Jade, if a majority of residents are keen on the idea," said a spokesperson for the local Liberal Democrats.
Earlier, Goody's husband Jack Tweed paid his first public tribute to the late star, describing her as "my best friend and my beautiful wife".
This is beyond a joke now - I feel desperately sorry for her boys and her mum and grandparents, but she is just an ordinary person who died, not royalty so can the world please get a grip and give us a rest from it all now.
A book of condolences has been opened today to allow members of the public to write messages in memory of Jade Goody.
The book has been placed at St John the Baptist Church in Buckhurst Hill, Essex ahead of the reality TV star's funeral on April 4.
A spokesman for Chelmsford Diocese said that visitors would be able to light a candle and have an opportunity for reflection as well as pay their respects to the late Big Brother celebrity.
Publicist Max Clifford has said that next month's ceremony "will be very much a Jade Goody production".
I wonder how many people will sign the book just to be able to talk about it in the pub a little later on, but not actually caring about Jade.
TRAGIC Jade’s grieving husband Jack Tweed has been offered a fortune to write a tell-all book about his life with her.
It would even be fast-tracked so that publishers can get it on the shelves as soon as possible.
Jack, 21, has clinched several massive pay-outs from newspapers, magazines and TV companies after agreeing to sell his story.
His explosive book would tell:
How Jade’s death has devastated him.
How they split following claims that he cheated on her.
How he combated allegations he hooked up with Jade for cash.
How Jade stood by him when he was jailed.
How he will always be a dad to Jade’s two boys.
Those boys have a caring dad of their own. They don't need their mother's thug of a toy boy hanging around any more.
He is showing his true colours now - money grabbing, 'fame' grabbing , limelight hogging waste of space.
jade probably wanted him to do it.....but yeah he was only in the releationship for money they always are
No doubt he will be guided through all this by their very good friend Max Clifford - nothing in it for him then - I was waiting for this to happen.
All this Jade stuff is seriously getting out of hand. I hope ALL of Jade's family, keep out of the limelight now...and just get on with their lives, rather than milking the press cash cow (though who can really blame them, if they are getting offered lots of money to discuss her). Why is she being turned into a saint???
I was reading a mag today, there was a pic of her body being brought out of her house (obviously a photographer had taken the shot over the garden fence) and it felt sooo wrong and uncomfortable looking at it, in the mag. Someone's death isn't entertainment and in years to come her boys will see that pic. I cant believe, even Jade who sold every aspect of her life (almost) to the media would want the world to see that pic.

The full details of Jade Goody's funeral have been revealed, including confirmation that the ceremony will be open to the public.

"The family wish the service to be a grand celebration of her life with music chosen specially by Jade and with tributes led by close friends and family."
Goody's coffin will be carried by the company's vintage Rolls hearse followed by a cortege of four Daimler limousines and Goody's favourite car, a Bentley.
The funeral procession will travel down Southwark Park Road, through the Dickens Estate where Goody grew up, over Tower Bridge and through Loughton High Street to St John The Baptist Church in Buckhurst Hill, Essex.
A public address system will be used to broadcast the midday service to fans outside the building, while proceedings will also be screened on a large screen inside the church hall.
Following the service, the procession will move to a private burial ground to allow Goody's family to say their last goodybes.""
Not wishing to be funny or anything, but who does her family exactly think she was, Royalty or something - I have never heard such nonsense in my life - why can't she be buried like a normal person, that's all she was at the end of the day - a normal human being. This whole thing is turning into a circus now, her diary being rushed to be published - why we know all about how she suffered, it was front page news for weeks, a movie of her life - Why, I am seriously fed up with it now.
I've kept quiet on this subject because it just annoys me. I couldn't care less she told her story to make money for the boys, it's nice, and she has done alot of good for alot of women out there, what annoys me is
- you cant go anywhere without Jade being there
- she is being referred to as "an Essex princess"
- people were slagging her off a year ago - 2 years ago, now she is the best person ever
- she has her own "memorial magazine"
I was sick of it a while ago, but the memorial mag put the icing on the cake for me has anyone else had one? No :thumbsdow
i saw a mag today (possibly the new edition of ok?) and it had a pic on the front of jade crying and clearly in pain, it was really uncomfortable to look at. do they really think we want to see pictures like that everytime we walk in a shop? i hope after her funeral is the last we hear about it
 omg really?!

Please. Enough already. Everyone clamoring to make money out of a dead woman. Its disgusting.
Jade Goody's sons will reportedly not attend their mother's funeral because they would find it too upsetting.
Next Saturday's ceremony is planned as a "grand celebration" of the Big Brother contestant's life, which was cut short when she lost her battle with cancer on Mother's Day.
Bobby, five, and Freddie, four, had been going to give their cards to the 27-year-old when their father Jeff Brazier had to tell them the tragic news.
He and Goody's mum Jackiey Budden have decided that the funeral would be too much for the children, reports The Sun.
A source said: "The boys are so young - Jackiey said she doesn't think their broken hearts will be able to bear it. It's also about the safekeeping of their memories of their mum for when they are older."
The funeral directors handling the ceremony confirmed yesterday that members of the public are welcome at the event, which is to take place at St John The Baptist Church in Buckhurst Hill, Essex.
I doubt the two boys understand fully what the death of their mother really means and should not attend the funeral anyway, imo. There will be far too much media attention, on them too, instead of a dignified farewell. Their dad or grandmother should take them to the grave after all others have gone again.
The decision not to allow Jade's sons to attend her funeral is one of the sensible reports we have heard this week. Freddie and Bobby are just babies they shouldn't be paraded in this circus. I attended funerals when I was there age and it is not a place for young children, let her boys remember her in their own way not lying in a wooden box. As for a film being made of Jade's life I don't think it is down to Jade. I think it will be Jack idea to try and stay in the limelight, without being heartless if Jade hadn't suffered and died of cancer he wouldn't have got back together with her. He is in it for the money and is trying his hardest to hang onto Jade's publicity. If Jade's family want a legacy then why not start doing thing to raise money for Cancer research like run the london marathon or climb mount everest then open a cancer wing and name it after her.
We all agree that Jade did not deserve to suffer the way she did but in reality she was not the first young mum to loose her battle with Cancer. Look at Jane Tomlinson and the money she raised for cancer research. Her family are still raising money. If Jack and Jackey want Jade's memory to live on then they need to do something positive.
