What gets on your nerves?

Oh now that bring me abi onto my first annoyance!!!! SHops that pile everything everywhere so pushchairs cant get through!! or wheelchairs or my hubbie who has trouble getting round on his crutches!

The way i see it is if the shop isnt big enough to cater for the hundreds of people who own double pushcairs then its tough luck if their displays get ruined :p Many times whle looking after children in double buggies or just when im on my own when connor was in his, i knocked things flying! i just leave it lying on floor!


another annoyance on the whole mummy thing, people who huff and puff if my child is making a nosie even if hes singing to himself! the disapprooving looks when connor used to have tantrums and id just leave him on the floor screaming!

People who talk to you one minute and then dont the next!
People who start msn convos and then leave without saying goodbye ( although late at night i have been known to do this :p)

I take it you are going to have none or one child, or if more you'll have a large age gap then Abs?! :p I for one am not leaving any of my kids outside whilst I go shopping..

What if you are a childminder?? If you are minding children under 4 are you supposed to not ever go shopping during the week when its quieter and are only allowed to go at the weekend in that case??

Personally, there isn't enough room in shops these days for a single pushchair, let alone anything else, and I thought the disabled access laws were such that a wheelchair had to be able to have a clear path in shops etc??

My Mates parent is a childminder, and thats exactly what she does, lol!!

A lot of shops physically dont have enough space to clear the way for them everywhere, anyway. Where i worked, we literally spent 3 hours one night, before sale started, trying to make it so there was enough space for wheelchairs to get through, but we could still get all our stuff that HQ was making us sell, out on the shop floor. It was sooo hard to figure that puzzle out, that making it so double prams could fit through too was near-on impossible.

I prefer the double prams where one baby goes in front of the other, instead of side-by-side... i saw one somewhere and thought it was more practical for shopping, though i dont know how common they are or expensive or whatever...

It annoys me when people argue with Mums in the middle of the shop. They're making a noise, so what? Thats what kids do! I can handle them singing, and shouting and screaming, so why can't the rest of the world? Whats the point in making a scene about it, its just embarressing to even see!

Thats so annoying! I have a dog, and clear up after it all the time.. its hardly that hard, so just do it, or dont have a Dog!

But any childminder or parent should be allowed to go shopping whenever they feel like it without being moaned about.

Fair enough, but if a wheelchair can get through, generally so can double buggies.

Very expensive, and have you ever tried pushing one, navigating through paths and shops with one, or tried to persuade on child to go behind the other one without there being tantrums which would also then be frowned upon by the general British public??

Not digging or anything here, but as a mother of 3, I know how it feels to be in this situation.

The ones we have problems with are the ones that are larger than a wheelchair. The smaller versions aren't that bad.

Well, the idea of them i thought was pretty good, even if its not practical, lol!! I dont mind the smaller versions of the double buggies, where its the same-ish size as a wheelchair, or just a bit bigger, but its the huge ones that irritated me. The small ones fit through no problem, lol.

And unfortunately this is where the problem lies - many shops don't cater for wheelchairs/buggies in their racking positions which then causes the problems etc....

But anyway....moving on :rotfl:......

Disabled people parking in Mother and Baby spaces even though there are disabled spaces left or people without babies parking there - I need to open my door wide in order to get my baby in and out of the car - its not my fault they put them nearer the entrance of the shop (in fact more often than not, I'll park as far away from the entrance as possible not in a mother and baby space. ) P.S. My grandfather is disabled, just to make that clear

And drivers who have to park their car right next to yours in a car park even though the car park is half empty - why right next to mine!!! :angry:

People who park across our drive, and block us in or out... Grrr..

People who go to the doctors for trivial things, where you could get Anti-Biotics from the chemist to cure it, and ease up the appointments for others.

The cold weather... i hate wearing coats and jackets....

All car park spaces should be as big as those for mothers and toddlers. No matter how empty M&S car park is and no matter how far away from the store I park as sure as hell some idiot has parked tight up beside me dented my door or scraped my paint.:angry:

Exactly Alan!! Whilst cars are getting bigger - the parking spaces are getting smaller!!! - Something is not quite right there!!

i never understand that, we have a disabled badge for dave when we got out with mum and dad, the diasble bays are bearly alwayds full and if you look half dont hvae their badges up! Asda is the worst for that near us! we wouldnt park in a mother and child one if free even though we havea child. I feel now that connor just climb in so we dont need that extra space. I get annoyed at the mothers who hve 10 years olds and park there!!!

My mum always moans about parking right next to hers when car park is empty!
