A best mate loves Lift tea, its lemon flavoured, but boy oh boy is it hard to find, he likes the red lid version but the unsweetened green top is the one the supermarkets usually have and he hates that.
But roiboos tea, I will buy some next time Im at asdas out pure curiosity, I havent drunk a warm drink this century and need something now its winter and my legs fallen off ....:crying::D
The apprentice starts tonight, my insider tells me they are the A typical ego maniac loons we have come to enjoy.
Yes the chill in the air is making warm drinks very welcome at the moment.
Did you break your leg? I hope you're no longer in pain!
Have seen Roiboos tea here in Spain but don“t fancy taking out a second mortgage for it ... Tetleys or PG Tips are readily available, if I can be bothered to travel 20 miles to the next urbanisation where they sell English goods, I can get Yorkshire Tea ... but I am grateful to get English tea as the Spanish one is not to my taste :nono::sick::D
Can anyone advice at pet insurance for a cat. I just been looking it up and it's very confusing. I will have my cat saturday
All I did was stumble through the front door... think I can manage the cab trip to a and e tomorrow, I bottled it on Tuesday re agoraphobia but seeing as my new surgery's triage nurse didnt even bother calling me back last night I have no other route for help. Wow Im a drama king :ninja:
So Perdita. do you have a spare room you might want to let out, say to a nice chap like me, in sunny spain :rotfl: Its getting cold here and landlady isnt one to heat the gaff :cartman: (if she ever read my posts Id be toast :rotfl:)
hmmm Splashy, how do you know your landlady is not reading your posts? :ninja::p
Sorry but no spare room to rent out ... :(
Because im in the warm watching F1 racing not in a tent in the garden sharing a bush with Ceril the squirrel.
Who said Id pay rent :moonie::ninja::D:D:D
Sorry swmc66, I know nothing about pets as Ive never had one, but I will have a hunt around on the interweb.
(after hunting around a bit I think go compare is a good place to start re cat insurance, but like I say Ive never had a pet, thou I would advise you go with a known company rather than pay less for a company who will possibly fight to pay out anything, which ever way be deli gent when filling out the forms as one descrepency is all they need to not have to pay out, maybe call an anmal charity to get their advice?
Thank you that is very helpful. Hope you leg is ok.
I've never had pet insurance so am unable to help sorry. Let us know how it goes with your new cat.
I once tore a ligament in my knee (which was agonising and took months to heal) by bending awkwardly, so I'd imagine it's possible to do some serious damage by stumbling. I hope you manage to get something sorted today! You'll have to call a doctor out if necessary.
As everyone has said Splashy, good advice to get your leg checked out, leg injuries can subsequently cause back problems if left untreated. :)
Ring 111 and they should send someone after you tell them about difficulty getting out. I do not know where you are but we have a scheme near me where a paramedic comes round on his her own and decides if you need to go hospital or not. I used it recently for my son who was too ill for me to take to doctors or A and E.
Thank you all for your kind comments.
I did dial 111 initially and the on call doctor called me back, he was obviously in his kitchen having tea, I could hear his wife clinking around behind him.. he told me to go to hospital.. couldn't do it like I said even after dialling 999 and explaining my situation to the paramedic in charge of ambulances, anxiety won out over pain.
Landlady and I are due to have lunch with the progenitors today along with niece, not sure if Im going to hospital first or after the meal depends on how much pain im in.
Wow I really am milking this, I watch the news and know how lucky I really am.
Oh swmc66 you must find a way of showing us a picture of your new cat.
Additional .. had to email Kevin at the isle of widget hotel to say I wasn't coming and thus unable to attend the party I wasn't invited to there, but to not to get too upset as I will get there later on this year when I've acquired a new leg.
I am disapointed that the service did not respond. GP have home visits in their contracts ...have you tried to get a GP home visit?
If that did not work you could raise it as a complaint with your local Clinical Commissioning Group as they cover primary care contracts now. You could also tell them about 111 not responding to difficulties in you going out. One of my jobs is with a clinical commissioning group and we deal with 111 service , GPs and hospital services. People do not know they can complain to us about NHS services and we can chase up the providers of services. I will get advice on this for you.
As for a cat picture. I have never uploaded an image on here and would not know how to do it. I will try later . It's black and white , 8 months female and it's wonderful . So good natured and fully trained thank goodness. They gave us the friendliest one as my daughter has depression and the cat is really for her.
Hey swmc66 .. I screwed up today, I did the lunch thing using lots of pain killers and alcohol to get me through it and missed the chance to be dropped off at casualty. In truth I was hoping I was getting better, but the agony in my leg has proved that not to be the case. Will go to a and e Sunday, im beginning to suspect I have actually broken something in the leg. I dont think a doctor visit would of helped and they just that day had given me the all clear re other stuff.
Anyway today was good, I got to meet my niece who I haven't seen since she was knee high to a grass hopper, shes now a talented hulla hoop performance artist. her new act involves a cross bow. You couldnt make this stuff up, she actually did attend a circus school and is making good money out of it. it was brilliant to meet her today.
swmc66, forget the picture Im just happy you now have said feline. :cheer:
Oh Kevin from the isle of widget Hotel I was supposed to be in tonight emailed me to tell me that the party was missing me and that I should contact him directly next time I plan to come to his hotel, the guy gets my sense of humour.
Glad you had a good day with your niece. I hope you get to A and E today.
Hours in A and E an xray later. Im still in pain but hey ho nowt broken it seems, But wow the receptionist was some scary unhelpful entity! It was almost like she had been bred to be the worst receptionist she could be, as for the triage nurse, she looked at me like I was a monster turning down her cure all fix paracetamol! The drug alaways makes me chunder, prolifically.
Land lady is dragging around a huge black cloud over her head, I cant get a read on the situ so am cowering in my room .
A and E is weird thou, some seem to live there and dont get me started on the kids that insist on knocking into your bad leg ever chance they get. But I have to say what with Brixeit , where are we going to get the doctors and nurses to run the hospitals.. curse you Farage, I pray we send your Polish wide home or at least stop her being paid to be your PA you hypocrite.
forgot to go advanced......
Good there is nothing broken. The Nhs are not very good at customer care unfortunately. A smile does not cost anything. The care has gone out of the system.
We've just signed up "Menopause the Musical" for the West Cliff Theatre on 18 March next year. It stars Ruth Berkeley, Rebecca Wheatley (formerly of Casualty), Maureen Nolan (one of the Nolan Sisters) and....Hev herself, Cheryl Fergison!
I'm so glad you've got your cat at last! I hope she's brought a smile to your daughter's face; pets are such a comfort during difficult times.
As far as I know, you can only post an image on this forum if it's been already been uploaded to another site. When I've posted pics here, I first uploaded them to a site called Imgur (which is an image hosting site), and then linked to the relevant image in my post using the "Insert Image" button.
My grandparents, who both died around six years ago, received wonderful care from the NHS. Unfortunately, it's been starved of money since then and many staff are at breaking point.
I've just had some delicious toast and Marmite for lunch. I've been craving it since seeing it all over the news. Luckily I have plenty in the house! :cheer:
Luckily i hate the stuff. I am more concerned about the pg tips
Sounds very complicated this uploading. But never mind
You know, I have never tasted mar mite!
I crave a good door step cheese and pickle sarnie like my old local pub used to make for me, but then some huge chain bought it out and the food went to plop.
After 13 years a recluse my best so far was a donor kebab smothered in chilli sauce and garlic mayonnaise, the only let down was that the salad wasnt greek. Im fully of the thought that if we kill animals for food we should eat it all including eyes etc, hence I have no issue eating anything (soz Dazzle)
However I did this week have a sharwoods chicken curry where IMO the chicken was rank and they seemed IMO to have tried to cover that fact with as many hot spices as they could and a lasangua where the meat was ground so small it was putrid to my palate.
I felt ill yesterday when i had a kebab in Leyton. I can tell a mile off when its not fresh. He just heated them up rather than prepare from fresh.
Round my way they make it fresh in front iff you. Never again. I could easily be vegetarian

Just got a flat tyre. Got a new car a year ago and they do not give you a spare tyre just a puncture kit. What a cheek. Toyota assistance do not carry tyres either with them so i imagine this will be a long day. I had the afternoon off to go shopping!
I too was brought up on marmite and enjoyed it on my toast at breakfasts, its lovely with melted cheese. I also use it for flavouring stews, soups and gravies.
Re the spare tyre issue, when I used sell second hand cars I used to say if asked, oh you dont want to have to carry a spare tyre it costs you money in petrol :ninja:
Yeah will defo try marmite.
Contractors sent me a detailed list of the work thyve planned and done for flat 7, I emailed them back and said thats fantastic, but whats going on with my flat no 8 :cartman::rotfl:
