Does Claudia have a key to Ken's house? - When did things become so serious?
that was a fast return for may from costa rica
I wonder if this is the start of a new, darker phase for Tim? When he came into the show first, he had abandoned Faye as a baby with her drug addicted mother so he may not always have been the nice-but-dim character we've known up until recently. Also, his relationship with his dad should be explored a bit more. Geoff doesn't seem like a neglectful father but he may have changed quite a bit over the years. In particular, I'm wondering why Tim was unable to read and write when he first arrived.
sinead looked well with make up even after giving birth
would the actors sinead and daniel not shave their heads for the storyline?
i wanted a better end to duncan, is he and may arrested?
why was daniel and sinead's families not at the hospital seeing as the hospital allow so many visitors anytime
Daniel needed someone like Peter, Adam, Ken or Kate, the Kirk scene I found stupid and unfunny
If that is the end of Duncan, I am disappointed, are we to feel sorry for him as his wife had a stroke and he could not afford the medical bills
I really do find the way Sophie seems to talk down to everyone bloody annoying.
In these times of low employment, how the hell are half the people in the factory still 'working'. They seem to take time off at the slightest thing. Also the way Sean was shouting at Carla, there's no way most bosses would put up with that.
I liked their scene together. Kirk is kind and means well, with no hidden agenda unlike many other characters.
The Sally story...
1. What's happened about the solicitor's bill? Will Duncan now have to pay it all?
2. Would the prison really have put Marcia back in the same cell as Sally!!?
Daniel & Ken
I have to say I am not one for getting very emotional at soap storylines, but I did find the reconciliation between Daniel & Ken quite moving. Well acted both. I think it's about time they gave William Roache a long term contract...
Will Sally be able to claim compensation for the assault and for being wrongly imprisoned.
At the least she could sell her story to the Weatherfield Gazette.
In the storyline about Nick stealing his Gran's money, we are supposed to believe that Nick's waitress friend withdrew it all from cash machines. Given that a typical daily limit is £250, it would take 320 days to get £80,000 out by that method - i.e. more than ten months! Since the inheritance from Archie only came through a month or so before Nick started "splashing the cash", it's further evidence of the scriptwriters thinking that viewers are stupid. Also, I don't think that there's a bank in this world whose fraud department wouldn't have contacted the account holder (Audrey) to query the frequency and scale of such cash withdrawals. Just saying.
Nick really is a slimy snake. I've never liked him but he's really showing himself to be a despicable piece of scum.
leanne believing nick's waitress is a solicitor, really
it was nice the scene between sally and peter
While David didn't come out smelling of roses, Gail's golden boy seems to get even worse.
Talking of Gail, her face when it came up about her late husband and the incident with the boat was priceless.
Gail's hair is gross. Yes ,it's thick but needs serious attention.
Think it depends. Having had cancer and chemotherapy, to use a very simplistic analogy, it's like tea - lots of different varieties. Not everyone loses their hair (I did) and it's possible to wear a cold cap during chemo which reduces the chance of hair loss by circa 40%. Not something I bothered with as it added a couple of hours to each session and not guaranteed to work. Someone I know had 18 doses of chemotherapy to my 6 and didn't lose her hair. Another lesser known side effect of chemotherapy can be nail loss. Wearing nail varnish may help prevent nail loss - didn't for me, but gave it a go. There's a well known charity in cancer circles called Look Good Feel Better, which is basically make up artists giving make up tips to ladies (and men I suppose if they want to participate) going through treatment. They give you a goody bag at the end, it's all about bolstering confidence. They use high end branded make up discontinued lines, no disrespect, not supermarket own brands.
Not sure if the scriptwriters are doing a good job in portraying this, my cancer was a different type. My gut instinct is it won't end well. More in the sense of history repeating itself, Ken was left a single parent etc.
is audrey sleeping with gail in her granny flat annex?
did amy conceive when away in hospital with broken arm?
I like that Roy still has no mobile phone and his scenes with Carla are always enjoyable
I slept on a lilo for one night last year when I moved in here and my mattress was due the next day. Bliming awful things, it went soft in the middle of the night. Sarah and Gaz should go and sleep at Audreys. But then if Aud took their bed she must be ib a double on her own why cant she share with Gail?
Yeah I know plot development.
Sarah Louise is annoying no wonder Gary wants to go to Qatar
I'm enjoying Evelyn and her sarcastic interactions with Tyrone but her storyline is getting even stranger than it was at the start. Why hasn't she mentioned this James character before? Has she been sneaking out to visit him? When we met her she seemed to spend most of her time sitting around watching daytime TV yet it turns out she had an honorary son/grandson she was looking after.
Steve, Tracey, Amy scenes diabolical.
Good to see Steve being calmer and less buffoonish than he's been recently. Shona could be a good ally for Amy, considering she had Clayton as a teenager.
The storyline with Evelyn and Tyrone is getting more convoluted by the episode. I think the writers have tied themselves in knots unnecessarily - they could easily have brought Evelyn in as Jackie or Darren's mother and it would still have made an interesting storyline.
Did Peter really say he was going to sail that rot bucket to the Caribbean!
That thing would struggle to make 4 knots with the engine on maybe 3 knots in a good wind by sail so it would take six months to get there as the crow flys under engine but as you cant carry that amount of fuel over a year by sail.
Ah mum and dad bringing up their grand kid as their own, why does that sound familial.
the only sailing peter will be doing is between carla and abi :p
so long adam
peter really has no shame where he sticks his wick, typical male, he would have gladly taken carla on the factory floor
