If Gemma and Paul are twins, why do they have different accents?
should tim and sophie hire a new solicitor for sally
David Platt "I'm beginning to feel like Prince Charles"
Corrie picking up Eastenders habit of decorating community spaces and using them for events without consulting with the council. Unlikely to get permission in this day and age without 'risk assessments' and meeting 'health and safety' regulations.
billy is old for gemma's twin brother and where is he living?
Up until tonight I had a feeling he wasn't even gay, just flirting with Billy to manipulate him. But Gemma seemed to confirm that he's genuine. It still seems contrived that the writers are pairing off a former criminal with a vicar though.
Where did Chesney plug in his fairy lights in the Community Gardens?
Bit of luck that Duncan's window was left open....
Can you do last number redial in a public phone box?
What an amazing coincidence that Eileen should be walking along just as Johnny's taxi pulled up....
In addition to all that's been mentioned, I still think it's funny the number of people on the street who have cars yet you barely ever see any cars parked on the street. I'm picturing vehicles emerging Thunderbirds style when needed. :)
Incidentally, I thought tonight's Coronation Street were two of the worst episodes ever. That funeral was execrable, apart from Mary of course and Evelyn, doing her Blanche impression, was ok, but that backwards and forwards with Lewis's coffin was buttock clenchingly dire.
i was thinking the coffin would fall and be empty
Candidate for adjective of the year, already, Parkerman - "buttock clenchingly". Brilliant, and sums up perfectly one of the most ridiculous scenes ever seen on TV, let alone Corrie!
Was that all Lewis's clients who organised his funeral, it was done fast
Gail as an idiot again :thumbsdow
Also, when he learned that Audrey wasn’t about to retire just yet,
“ I’m beginning to feel like Prince Charles.”
And I see Brian is one of those who will only take a job if it is 'managerial'. That's the only sort of job he considers worthy of his dubious talents.
The funeral was just ridiculous, with the coffin going backwards and forwards. In real life mourners don't even have access to the controls during a cremation anyway.
Did anyone else think that hearing Sally screaming while being beaten was unnecessary? We could already guess what was going to happen (even without spoilers) so they could have just had Marcia threatening her or looking at her in a menacing way, and then seeing Sally's injuries in the next scene. It all felt a bit disturbing.
Also had to laugh at Bethany I think it was regarding Maria "She's a bit over the hill". God knows what she thinks of Audrey, Liz or Claudia.
The moment Nick's gym bag was mentioned, you just knew it would be stuffed with cash. But is it Audrey's cash or did he get it from somewhere else. Are they trying to lead us a garden path. - I would like to think that Nick would not rip off his gran, but nowadays in the constant search for drama anything is possible. Can't wait to see Gail's face if he did, will she be able to forgive him, the son that can do no wrong.
how could duncan and may do that to their own daughter, i know she isn't too bright but lying about a death
I felt sorry for Duncan's daughter in that episode, having 2 strangers lure her to a restaurant for a non existent photo shoot and then tell her that her mother is still alive...
Who hit Duncan? Screen was too dark for me to make out what exactly happened ... other than a car running him over ..
Sally going to prison has shown that Tim is not a very nice man, first he believed that she had an affair with Duncan. Now he exploits his daughter with no regard to her feelings. His default setting seems to be to to try and beat a confession out of Duncan even though a confession obtained this way would not stand up in court. When Duncan was hit by the car his reaction was to run away without checking to see if he was still alive.
Whose phone was shown on the floor as Tim was running away?
Am I the only one who's finding Sophies high pitched squealing annoying as well?
