I think that's phrased perfectly!
I'm not a fan of tennis either - but then I don't like any sport. :ninja:

Well Ive played for Saints and the England under 21s, ok we were the half time band but it still counts even if the crowd boo`d us :readtheru
Oh and the tour de France has begun, forget the bikes the views of France during the race are astounding and the maniacs who line the route are more insane than a insane thing thats insane.
The old boy's still got it!
I won the grandads' race at my grandson's school sports day today. I got a first place sticker and a box of Maltesers! :cheer:
Ooooh a sticker!! I think I have sticker envy!
I love F1... but sadly nobody at work does so I have nobody to talk to on Monday about it.. My co-worker doesn't like any sports so even talking about football is out... Not that I watch much football, just Euro and World cups.. but even I missed the Ireland Match against Belgium cause the F1 was on... (BTW I am a Vettel fan but think JB is a top bloke)
I have my summer holiday right now, 4 weeks off from work. I don't exactly do much though, just relaxing at home, sleeping, catching up on some tv shows, lol. Today was no different :) Finished a tv show, started on another one.
When i won the mothers race years ago i did'nt get anything, plus i could hardly walk the next day. However it was worth it to see my sons smile. It is great they have a grandparents race now as well. Especially as kids do not always have both the parents in their lives.
Vettel is much more likeable now he isnt winning every race
F1 is my main love. its not just the race its all the politics and build up that makes it for me, I used to love the BBC coverage but had to follow Martin to sky sports where they really have a good team now.
Today.. Have spent over 15 grand renovating my old flat, am off to see the results in person in a bit, the question still is do I sell it or rent it out?
Check out what house prices are right now, they may go down later and market bit rocky right now as people scared to invest as not sure what Brexit impact will be. Thats what some money programme was saying anyway.
When its a home i always think with my heart not my head though.
As for grandparents people are lucky to have them around. I never grew up with any as both sets were abroad all my life and felt the loss.

Its looking brilliant, brand new windows. new carpets, new plumbing. electrics and painted. Kitchen is half complete and the bathroom ready now to have shower toilet basin and washing machine installed. Im not chasing the contractor about doing this fast as another issue is extending the land lease back to 125 years, thats already cost me 2 grand with a potential further 8k to follow that. But until thats sorted I cant sell it anyway, well I could for a lot less than I will get with 125 years on the land lease. Its all a huge con, Im actually paying for the land owners costs as well as my own and then I have to pay a lump sum on top of that as compensation.
What I do know is if I sell it the buyer will be a person who will instantly rent it out The property couldnt be better located, nice gardens with access to macdonalds, Lidl, tescos, cash machines, busses to all parts of the city just across the road. On average I used to get letters from estate agents every week asking me if I wanted to sell. Im veering towards renting but using a management firm, it will be amusing thou as the first thing my stalker will try and do is rent it. (thats another tedious splashy story :cartman:)
Looks as though you have your finger on the pulse Splashy, to weigh up the pros and cons. Good wishes to your decision.
thank you Glen
Today here .. auto robot PPI drone keeps calling me..darn annoying and she refuses to go on a date with me just keeps insisting I press the 5 key...I told my supervisor I shouldn't eat garlic chicken last night, thats my chance blown.

F1 for me is the only sport.. the others is just messing about. I love the build up and I can only watch RTL in Germany but Niki Lauda is the host so all is good. I am a huge Michael Schumacher fan and when he left (the first time) I spotted Vettel and loved him from his first race. Was at the Spa GP last year and my greatest achievement was doing a lap of the Monaco GP.. granted I could only go 50 so my lap was over 7 minutes hahahahaha
Can't seem to find the thread about recommending books so I will just write it here.. It is called "behind closed doors" by B A Paris (debut novel) and it had me hooked from start to end. (finished in a day).
There is this thread http://www.soapboards.co.uk/forums/s...t=book+reading
What is Behind Closed Doors about, you have me intrigued now
The man in his day was an evil genius, still makes me chuckle that he blocked off the final chance for others to get pole over him at Monaco that time by accidentally crashing at 1 mile an hour in turn one. Its why I also like Alonso, he screwed over Hamilton by staying longer in the Pit than was needed to ensure Hamilton didnt have time to complete a final lap in qualies.
But then the only co team driver Hamilton didnt hate was Jensen and even he moaned about Lewis being aloof during off season.
Anywho... thats it, Mrs May is our new PM....Im off to America to live, it cant be any worse there, oh wait Donald build a wall against Mexicans Trump. Ummm ok I hear Antarctica is nice this time of year.

So who remembers Ray Brooks, the voice of Mr Benn and Joe Macer, husband and murderer of Pauline, in Eastenders?
Well, he's doing a one-man talk show at my theatre on 16 September and he's just asked me out to lunch during the day. Lunch with an EE celeb, eh? :)
Oh please spill on all the EE gossip, but most of all have a brilliant time.
Had a back to reality lovely chilled out day, full English breakfast for lunch at a cafe at a location which used to be Southampton Zoo with my loved ones, used to hear the Lion roar from my bedroom at feeding times when I was a nipper, who else can say that, well in Blighty.
Watched the Trump monster introduce his new co loonie cohort on BBC news 24 and now despair for the world, he wants to build a massive wall and generate hate against a whole religion. But its all ok USA, he just wants to make you great again. While we are sending thousands of troops to Europe to stave off the threat of Putins Russia, this is a good chance to deploy are naval might in the form of aircraft carriers .. oh wait a sec, all active ones sold off or scrap just one mothballed and one with no aircraft or harbour that can cope with it..
Taxi for splashy to the international space station, where I can watch the world end in the full knowledge that I know were my towel is.

Tried to catch some pokemon, but I wasn't exactly successful, lol. I mean, I did catch a couple, but not as many as I hoped. I'm still only on level 4.
My ten quid mobile from asda refuses to let me play pokemon the swine
Won £50 because I bet on Jason winning BB.. so annoying, I have a ladbrooks account I use for the grand national only, its a family thing which I won, but cant work out how to get the money back so I keep placing silly bets with it that just keep coming in but dont get me started on my Donald Trump for president bet, that one really wasnt supposed to have any chance of paying out, it may pay me hundred odd quid but will there be a world left to spend it in?
Oh yes, my stalker launched a cyber attack on me this week, it failed. They tracked down an email address on a ISP data base and pretended to be someone else, I told the someone else that their name had been used and I wouldnt like to be the stalker if the someone else catches up with them.
Ah well, this week I have mostly been eating cabbage and shooting my nerf gun.
Spent two days away on a work thing and then off on holidays from 31st to 6th August. If I don't answer any PM or emails then you know why.
