Temperatures hit new July record
Temperatures hit a British record high for July on Wednesday in Charlwood, near Gatwick Airport, the Met Office said in a statement.
The continuing heatwave being fanned by warm air from the Continent pushed the mercury up to 36.3 degrees Centigrade (97.34 Fahrenheit), compared with the previous record of 36 degrees set in 1911.

Saves getting any thunder I suppose. We were forcasted some either yesterday or today but we didn't get any so I suppose it will arrive later :(
there was a huge fire on the moors as well up near my dads work. Its scary what the heat can do.
We've had rain overnight but now it's gone red hot again
