The injury. The Policeman was entitled to ask them for idenity and they were entitled to ask why they had been stopped.

The situatiom was made worst by the idiot brother getting involved. However, he was technically in custody when he got injured so he is entitled to compo.

Michael and James must think they are in the school drama class with all the hand gesticulating, nobody does that in the real world other than Tony Blair.
James now has another story to sell to the newspaper.
Did David not think about selling his story of the sink hole to the newspaper.
Irene could sell her story about living with a murderer to the newspaper.
Michael could sell a story of him being racial profiled to the newspaper, this is the third time he has used that card.

Why would they buy his story when they could get plenty of such stories for nothing

Because selling stories to the newspaper is the new fad in Coronation Street at the moment.

Local papers would probably report these stories but do not have the money to buy them, nor would they need to spend money when they can get them for free. National papers would probably not be interested because none of these people are well known. Local papers now rely on free lifestyle content from PR companies who are only too happy to supply it. In a few years from now it is likely there will be very few local papers left.

"Disposable cameras on every table" - Has Billy been living in a cave, as a religious hermit, for the past fifteen years - Corrie goes retro, or just an attempt at humour?

Another event takes over the Memorial Garden without seemingly involving the Council. Do have a coin operated meter for the electric for the telly?
