I don't think you will be alone . I shan't watch either.
But you might find it interesting to see how Bethany will get out of it. I appreciate some find it uncomfortable to watch but there are phone numbers and websites given for those affected by the storylines, so viewers that are affected should make use of them. Phone, message and talk to them about it. That is what they are there for. Even if you have never been in that situation, I am sure talking about your feelings about this storyline could help you.
I just don't like it. I am not affected by it. I also can't believe that Bethany would get in so deep. She is a strong girl and would tell somebody or kick him in the crutch and run home. Mary would sort it out.
Sometimes there are storylines we can't face watching. They are different for everyone. I skipped a lot of Hope's cancer and the episodes when Ozzy was killed off.
Louise will be able to find out how Bethany gets out of it by reading some posts here if she wishes to.
I am glad the helplines are available but I would rather skip episodes and keep the helplines free for those who really need them. Callers may have been bottling things up for years before getting help via the show.
I know it needs to be highlighted. Her character is a bit unbelievable though. So not convincing for me. Would have been better to get a capable actress to do it then i may have watched. Also i do find it grim and creepy. I am already very aware of this subject so do not need educating on it.
The only thing i will miss on Corrie is Shona and David storyline the rest s not worth watching. Maybe if Phelan gets his comuppance. Tracy on thr run also stops me watching especially as she will get off again. This is the first time in 35 years i have ever stopped watching. So thank goodness for soapboards

yes true but i'm feeling as the storyline progresses her acting all happy loved up despite what she is doing with his mates irkes me and i too find the actress weak and as she looks near 20 not so out of place with a nathan or neil maybe if the storyline don't drag on with her sleeping with more of nathan's dirty mates i may feel different, i agree it is a good subject to cover if it gets vulnerable girls in this situation to reach out and talk so i hope corrie writers do it justiceQuote:

I think Tracy's arrest was a bit over the top.. I mean no one actually is dead and how can the police be absolutely certain that someone actually pushed him? Bruises.. Anything can cause them especially when older. Not trying to say it doesn't matter but this has been made bit too dramatic for what it actually is. Boring.
Bethanys storyline keeps me glued on the screen. Very hard to watch at times but it deserves highlighting. Scary to think this does happen in real life...
