Finished the HP book over the weekend. Maybe I'll give a go at writing a story than reading it.
read HP and the DH on saturday, going to tackle the gary barlow autobiography next i think
Just started one called wasted by Mark Johnson...
Just bought Peter Kay's autobiography and was going to start reading that, but my eldest son has just pinched it and started reading it, so looks like I'll have to wait for him to finish it now before I can get my hands on it lol
ive just started reading "plain truth" by jodi picoult
I'm reading 2 books.
"Northanger Abbey" by Jane Austen
And "An Evil Cradling" by Brian Keenan
I'm alternating between the 2, at the minute.
Okay I have given in to temptation and decided to read the Harry Potter books. I'm starting at the begining so I can understand the whole triology. I've read the first book in two days, going to start reading The chamber of Secrets tomorrow, my plan is by the time I've finished the first 6 books Marley would have finished with the Deathly Hallows.
I'm reading three books at the moment. I've got a few hundred pages of Deathly Hallows to finish. There is so much more that I have picked up the second time reading it that I missed before. I'm also reading Fear Of The Collar which is a memoir/autobiography about a boy who was sent away to a monastry in Ireland in the 60's and Humble Pie by Gordon Ramsay.
I'm trying to read Harry Potter and the deathly hallows...can't really get into it, it's so long!
I am reading the little prince to my daughter.. it is a very good book, makes you think a lot about life. I can't wait to see how it ends
I have about 140 pages left of the deathly hallows. Can anyone recommend a good book when i have finished
On holiday I read, The house at Riverton by Kate Morton, it was quite good although I enjoyed it more towards the end when it got really interesting
Nearly finished the secrets of Crickley hall by James Herbert.. it is really really good and can't wait for the end... One of his best in recent years
I bought Air Babylon for the flight back. It's really funny so far :D
OMG I have read 6 Harry Potter books in three weeks. Do I need help? My friend is nearly finished reading Marley and Me and I thought about buying it to read to Marley as she still gets a bed-time story even though she's 9 in three weeks, she loves a story. But my friend is just past the sad bit and she told me what happened so I don't think I'll bother just now.
Reading Air Babylon (like hotel babylon on the tv). I recommend it it's hilarious :rotfl: Can't believe this kind of stuff happens, so funny though :D
i started reading "the memory keepers daughter" by kim edwards while i was on hols. from the back it sounded really good, its about a doctor delivering his twins and the girl has downs syndrome so the doctor gives her away and tells his wife she died. ive only read about 3 or 4 chapters so far cos i dont like the writing style of it so im finding it really difficult to read more than a few pages at once
I just want to highly recommend The List by Steve Martini.. the best book I have read in ages.. fantastic twists and turn. Keep you hooked all the way through
I am reading Blackout by Chris Ryan - a fantastic book so far (i have read 92 pages in 2 days!) - i thought this book wouldn't grip me but it did - if your into programmes like Spooks or 24 - i highly recommend this book to you..:)
I read this one and 3 others from the Richard and Judy summer read while on holiday.
We will be discussing the Memory Keepers Daughter at book club on 13th - I didn't really like it to be honest. I felt that the ending was realy contrived, but it will be interesting to hear other peoples opinions both on the story and the ethics.
I'm reading Amnesia by Beverly Barton. The blurb sounds really good but I'm finding it hard to get in to. I think my next book will be an autobiography. I'm a bit fed up of reading fiction at the moment.
finished reading "the memory keepers daughter", i thought it was very disappointing, an ok book to read but nothing amazing. im now reading "mercy" by jodi picoult
Finished reading Blackout by Chris Ryan a few weeks ago - superb book with a wonderful twist at the end!
At the moment Im reading 'Before I die' By Jenny Downham
i am reading jane austens pride and prejudice. i have only ever seen the film and tv adaptations so its great to read the whole story with all the missing bits!
I just finished Animal farm.. haven't read it since school and it still had all my notes in the column hehe
I'm reading Compulsion by Keith Ablow. Its an excellent book, so many twists and turns.
I've read two really good books recently - Mercy by Jodi Picoult was one of those books that make you think about it for ages afterwards!
and Blood Ties by Sam Hayes. Brilliant book, one of the best I've ever read! The ending is totally unexpected so many twists in the book!
Ive heard many people reading Blood Ties, so I might give it a go
Ive finally started reading another book and i am now reading the pact from jodi picoult and ive not read much but it looks like its gonna be a really good book
I read that one and it bored me to death. She wanders off into a revere and waffles about some random stuff that isn't relevant in my opinion.
I'm reading Cross by James Patterson. It's a good book so far, not riveting but it's ok. One thing that is annoying me is the length of the chapters. Most of them are 3 pages long.
