Emmerdale star Nick Miles has revealed that his character Jimmy King will have a big new storyline next year.

The actor, who has been with the ITV1 soap since 2004, disclosed the news on Twitter after a fan told him that the show is currently in "amazing" form.

Writing in response, Miles agreed: "I think so, but I'm pretty biased! Lots of exciting stuff between now and Christmas then a HUGE story for Jimmy in the new year."

Emmerdale bosses recently announced that Jimmy's ex-partner Kelly Windsor (Adele Silva) will return to the Yorkshire-based drama in early 2011 - a development which is likely to come at a cost for the businessman.

The character is currently happily married and enjoying family life with wife Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) and their young daughter Angelica.

Meanwhile, in separate Twitter posts, Miles also confirmed that the Emmerdale cast are continuing to film the soap's Christmas Day episode today.

When Kelly Windsor left in 2007, the Dales seemed a more peaceful place - but her forthcoming return is set to fuel more tension between some of the residents.

The marriage between Jimmy King (Nick Miles) and Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) will be hit particularly hard by the manipulative and destructive vixen, played by Adele Silva, hinted co-star Tom Lister (Carl King).

"Adele Silva is coming back in the show and that puts a bomb under Jimmy and Nicola's relationship," he revealed.

"We've got lots of involvement in the big storyline coming up for Jimmy. Carl is in the midst of all that, fighting Jimmy's corner. The tables are turned on the brothers for a little while."

Tom promised viewers would be in for a treat, especially with Kelly's revealing outfits.

"She's great fun, bless her. But she's coming back at the wrong time of year," he continued.

"The characters wears little or nothing and it's absolutely freezing in the village at the minute."

We can't wait to see what Kelly has up her strappy sleeve.

Adele Silva has promised that Emmerdale fans can expect exciting surprises from her comeback storyline.

The actress recently reprised her role as Kelly Windsor on the ITV1 soap following a three-year break.

Fans will see Kelly on screen again at the end of next week, when it becomes clear that her ex-partner Jimmy King (Nick Miles) has been having secret meetings with her in Peterborough.

Silva told Inside Soap: "This all happened off screen, so when we discover they've been seeing each other again, it's not instantly clear whether they're having an affair or not. There'll be a few surprises and some exciting twists and turns in this story."

Soon after viewers see the pair together again, things take a violent turn when Kelly attacks Jimmy with a torch during an argument - knocking him out cold.

"She leaves him unconscious because she's too scared to do anything else," Silva continued. "But I don't think Kelly will get far without feeling guilty. She's missed Jimmy - he's her one true love.

"He's the only person who accepted all her flaws and took her for what she was, so I think she's missed having him in her life. Hopefully she hasn't really done him in as I'd love to see them get back together."

Later this week, fans will see that Nicola's husband Jimmy (Nick Miles) has been having secret meetings with ex-fiancée Kelly in Peterborough, which explains his recent odd behaviour.

The revelation paves the way for Kelly to make a full-time return to the village following Silva's decision to reprise the role after three years away from Emmerdale.

Speaking to We Love Telly about the impact of Kelly's comeback, Silva explained: "When she returns to the village and makes herself at home with her stepdad Bob, her presence certainly ruffles Nicola's feathers.

"She confronts Kelly and warns her to watch her back. In true Kelly fashion, she's just dismissive of Nicola's threats."

The actress added that Kelly enjoys the animosity, explaining: "She's always been a troublemaker and loves stirring things up. Nicola versus Kelly is a match made in heaven."

Meanwhile, asked whether Kelly is aiming to win Jimmy back, Silva replied: "What do you think? Of course!"

Speaking to All About Soap, Silva explained: "Straight away you can see the little cogs whirring and she definitely turns it to her own benefit. She thinks, 'Okay, I've obviously hit him really hard and he's forgotten it all. Well, that's fantastic because he's not going to remember it was me!'

"And then she decides she's going to make him remember that they almost got married, that they were so in love. It's a bit sneaky, really. It's manipulative and calculating."

Asked how far Kelly will go to win back her ex-fiancé, she replied: "You just never know with Kelly. She'd go to the ends of the earth, I think. Once she's got her mind totally set on something, that's it."

Adele Silva has hinted that her Emmerdale character Kelly Windsor could team up with Eve Jenson to cause mischief.

The normally mild-mannered actress, who first joined the soap in 1993, finds she's at her most fuming when she's stuck behind slow-moving cars.

She told Reveal magazine: "I'm not normally an impatient person but, when I'm in the car and going somewhere, I get angry at people dawdling along."

And Adele, whose character has returned to the soap to wreak havoc between her ex-fiance Jimmy King and his new wife Nicola, reckons there are other career options for her if she gets fed up with acting.

"I'd be something to do with crime. I'm really into psychology and criminal profiling. I like reading about body language and serial killers, and the psychology of why people behave the way they do."

The actress is seen returning to Emmerdale full time this week, when her character, wild child turned temptress Kelly, goes back to the village.

She said: "I absolutely love playing Kelly, just because you never know what she's going to do next and she's always involved in something.

"I don't know if I'd be friends with her. I think I'm quite biased because I say I feel quite sorry for her... but I don't know. I think if I saw her I'd be a bit 'oh, she's there with her knee-high socks, leopard print bod-con dress and a little coat'. The old part of me would think, 'oh put some clothes on!'."

The actress, who has been away for three years with the exception of an appearance in the soap in February, joked of her full-time return: "It was lovely, freezing. I'd forgotten how cold it was up here in Kelly's miniscule outfits. But it's fine, it's nice actually."

Of her character's return, she added: "She moves back into the village and she has a few little surprises that pop up there. Quite a few shocks."

Taking a no-nonsense attitude with Kelly, Carl warns her to stay out of Jimmy's life. However, Kelly soon puts a spanner in the works by claiming that she was already seeing Jimmy before the amnesia - will Carl believe her?

Carl meets the babe after she tells Jimmy they were in a passionate affair before he lost his memory.

An Emmerdale insider said: “Carl feels protective towards Jimmy, who hasn’t a clue what he was like before he lost his memory.”

Adele Silva has admitted that she often tries to defend her scheming Emmerdale character Kelly Windsor.

Kelly has turned life in the village upside down in recent weeks by trying to steal back her ex-fiancé Jimmy King from his wife Nicola, exploiting her former partner's amnesia as the perfect way to manipulate him.

However, speaking on Lorraine this morning, Silva confessed that she thinks there is more to Kelly than just her villainous side.

She explained: "I kind of make excuses for her, because she hasn't had a good childhood. Both her parents died, her stepmum died recently. I think she's a great mum - I think she'd do anything for her son. I think that's the only good thing she possibly has going for her!"

Asked whether Kelly will get her comeuppance, Silva replied: "Oh, I think the nation will go mad if she doesn't!"

The actress also discussed her future plans, confirming that she will start filming a new movie next month.

She said: "I've got a film that comes out late summer called How To Stop Being A Loser. It's a very, very funny British comedy with Richard E. Grant, Jill Halfpenny, Simon Phillips - lots and lots of good people in it, so that's great.

"I also start shooting a new film at the end of May, called Strippers vs. Werewolves - a black comedy Shaun of the Dead type thing."

Emmerdale actress Nicola Wheeler has confirmed that fans will soon see her character's feisty side re-emerge.

The star's alter ego Nicola King has appeared downtrodden in recent months following Kelly Windsor's (Adele Silva) successful scheme to steal away her husband Jimmy.

Although amnesiac Jimmy (Nick Miles) has since seen Kelly's true colours, a reunion for him and Nicola still seems off the cards - even after more of Jimmy's memories return late next week.

Speaking to All About Soap on the pair's future, Wheeler explained: "Deep down, Nicola wishes there could be a way around it, but it's not about hurt pride anymore - it's about trust. Jimmy slept with Kelly. And as much as Nicola still loves Jimmy, she now can't trust him as far as she can throw him."

She continued: "Things have just gone way too far. Nicola has another bust-up with Kelly and she takes her anger out on Jimmy. There's a real bitterness between them after that and I think viewers will start to see the old hard Nicola that we all know and love. She's a tough cookie really.

"It was quite nice to see Nicola's softer side, but I'm looking forward to her getting some balls again - Jimmy had better watch out!"

Wheeler has previously said that she enjoyed the opportunity to finally show Nicola as "the good guy" on screen.

Emmerdale will bid farewell to Kelly Windsor in the coming weeks as Adele Silva has finished filming her latest stint on the soap, Digital Spy can confirm.

Kelly, who has been at the centre of Jimmy King's amnesia storyline for most of the year, will depart the village towards the end of the month following weeks of scheming and manipulation.

Show bosses lured Silva back to Emmerdale late last year, but it is understood that producers only ever intended her stay in the village to be a short one for Jimmy's current plotline.

Silva is now working on a new film titled Strippers vs. Werewolves, which she recently billed as a Shaun of the Dead-style black comedy. However, a future Emmerdale return has not been ruled out for Kelly.

An ITV spokesperson told DS this morning: "The character of Kelly was brought back specifically for the amnesia storyline which will conclude shortly. Adele therefore finished filming two weeks ago but there is every chance Kelly could return later in the year."

Emmerdale fans recently saw Kelly's downfall as Jimmy remembered that she caused his memory loss by attacking him in Peterborough. Things are expected to get worse for Kelly in future episodes as more of Jimmy's memories return.

Is Elliott really Jimmy's though. I thought Eve had made a fake DNA report for Kelly to fool Jimmy. I don't think he is Jimmy's and we find out the truth soon because if Elliott was Jimmy's Jimmy wouldn't let her leave the villiage without proper access to seeing him.
