I agree Katy - I missed Sunday (sorry 24 far more important!!) but was able to catch up and work out what was going on last night. I guess that the Irish Police Officer had a role somewhere in it as he was so desperate to go back to London with Boyd and Spence, plus, I dunno, something just told me he was involved in some way.
I didn't think she was going to kill him at the end though, I thought Boyd had got through to her so as not to kill him...
It was absolutely fantastic last night! I just love this show, so many twists and turns! I was surprised that the journalist was Catherine Keane's daughter! :eek: And that detective being involved, i didn't expect either!
The end had me on the edge of my seat, i thought Boyd was going to get through to the journalist and she wouldn't shoot him so i was totally shocked when she did!
Must say last week's story, i didn't understand at all and i nearly fell asleep on the Monday episode as it was so boring and i didn't get what was going on...glad i wasn't the only one! But this week was an absolute turn-around..:cool: I was totally gripped!
I had a feeling she'd be the daughter but I was wondering if her father would actually be the guy she shot at the end...
This is the sort of Waking the Dead I love, not like last weeks and I'm glad it came back to us this weekend. I hope next weeks is similar, less confusing than the previous one
i thought that to, i had no idea she was her daughter but my mum walked in and was like its her daughter, i was like thanks for that.
It was really good though. I agree about the irish garda. he was really odd, and i knew that man would be a complete psycho, it was those pictures above his bed when i realised he was really perculier.

In this special final episode of the current series, the Cold Case team digs deep to unearth the secrets buried for over 60 years in a house owned by a London family.
Boyd receives an anonymous package in the post – a Nazi ceremonial dagger. Attached to it is a Cold Case number: the unsolved murder of a young girl whose body was found on an East London street in May 1945. Boyd discovers that the last person to look in the file was his old colleague, Mel Silver, two weeks before her death.
The trail leads to a dealer in war memorabilia and the team learns that an American woman called Sarah, the same woman who was in touch with Mel before she died, bought the dagger. The team then visits a house to talk to the Polish builder who took the dagger to the dealer to be sold. He is not there, but they are shown where the dagger was hidden.
Outside, Boyd confronts Sarah. She tells him she is working for Interpol on war crime cases and wants to be included in the current investigation, but Boyd refuses.
Simon Dusniak, the owner of the house, is shocked to discover that his mother, Abigail, has returned to the UK from her home in Panama. She challenges him about putting her father in a nursing home.
When the team heads back to the dealer's shop it has been ransacked and the dealer is dead. Boyd reluctantly lets Sarah tag along as an observer.
Back at the lab, Eve finds a military tattoo on the torso of a suicide victim. The number appears to identify him as Nazi doctor Martin Heiss, who worked for Josef Mengele in extermination camps in Poland during the Second World War. But what is the link between the unsolved murder of a young girl in 1945, the late Mel Silver and an SS dagger..?

I bought a series of Waking The Dead this morning...i am totally glued, a brilliant drama! So glad i got it on dvd!

Anyone watch it this week? I thought it was an absolutely brilliant episode yet again, it was fantastic! Particularly graphic last night too when the man thought he was pulling out the woman's insides...and my stomach turned when it shown the flashback of the boy stabbing his parents with that pitchfork..i was surprised by the twist at the end...i always thought that Daniel killed them.
yeah i watched it this week. I was so confused after watching sundays...but then i got it last night. And it was a brilliant episode...& about the twist at the end i did kind of have a feeling it was comming.
Well that was one terrific episode.. since I grew up in the 60's I have seen what LSD can do to a person..and it is not uncommon what u saw in last nites episode..Many Vietnam vets became acid droppers to forget what they saw in 'nam.
Thats what they called a BAD TRIP.
In the early 70's they had acid patrols at rock concerts,, saw a guy being carried out cos he was trying to scratch his face off,, so really the graphic part was what the person taking acid thought he was seeing.
I applaud the writers for the story and the directors for the vision they gave us,, it was spot on !!!!
Also Trevor Eve gave us some terrific acting as usual, I do hope Grace eventually comes back...
