Thank you Trinity, although now only 3 months old, she is already wearing clothes for 6-9 months old babies, guess she takes after her parents who are quite tall :)

Not sure if most of you know but my son Ben was diagnosed with ADHD 2 years ago and we have been struggling with the school to get something done to help him with his work. He has aggression with this also so for the past year the school solution was send him home. He wasn't learning anything and he has suffered alot because of this. Kids in his class are afraid of him and nobody plays with him during breaks. As parent, we have done everything we could, therapy, 10 week course in a day clinic and when I was out of work I spent 2 months sitting in his classroom with him. He also takes medication. After the 10 week course Ben behaves a lot more at home but school is a different thing. He still feels left out and alone there.
Yesterday we had a meeting with the school and with the authorities to discuss was has to be done. The woman from the authorities is a real ball breaker. She told the school sending Ben home in not an answer. She assessed the school and told them that they don't have the capability to work with kids with ADD so she has gotten Ben into another school near us (they have a second teacher in the classes so if a child misbehaves, they can go outside and calm down), she has given the school an individual plan for Ben and has a help teacher for 7 hours a week to do assessment to find out what other things Ben needs for day to day work (kids with ADD tend to forget a lot of stuff and have low concentration).. I am so happy with this woman as we feel, as parents, we are finally getting things done for Ben to get him help that he so much needs.
Fingers crossed that Ben can finally get a proper education and make friends that stand by him if he does get angry and not run away screaming as the kids in his class do now.

Absolutely fanstastic news Shiv!! Hopefully you can get to relax a little now. xxx
Brilliant news, all the best for Ben and you and your family xxxx
That's brilliant news Siobhan, hope all now goes well and Ben enjoys himself at his new school.xx
It's good to hear such great news, Siobhan. I hope Ben will be a lot happier now :)
Parkerman's been very quiet lately. Anyone know where or how he is?
I'm missing reading your posts, Norman :(
Maybe on a world cruise after his Tipping Point success :D
My dad's selling the car that I passed my test in and replacing it with what looks like a Postman Pat van with no air conditioning. Meh :(
I hate men! Basically have no close friends any more because they either replaced me with uni mates or replaced me with possessive waste of spaces :(
I am busy, busy busy.
Uni is going really well, still working full time too and wish I had Hermione's time-turner - sometimes think I do - I just don't control it well.
I do drop by occasionally and catch up on your news, but most of the time I am deeply engrossed in art history or classics or both. If I am not working or reading I will be baking or travelling.
Life is pretty good :)

Nice to see you drop in from time to time and that you are enjoying yourself :)
Hey Perdy!
I am procrastinating!
I have an essay comparing a 13th-century icon to a 15th-century Van der Weyden due in tomorrow and have got up early to finish it off.
How is life with you?
Trin x
Very well, thank you, Trin, now living in Spain and enjoying it very much, love my two rescue dogs who keep me very busy and fit as I don't have a garden so need to take them for lots of walks. Good luck with your essay x :)
Sounds wonderful!
The dark days of winter are here, and it is frosty this morning; a milder winter climate sounds very appealing.
Essay will get done, they all do, my problem is that I am a perfectionist, good enough does not cut it - I want a distinction for every essay, and a first over all - I am on target so far :)
Have you retired, or are you working from Spain? I love the idea of cutting back on work and spend my time travelling and studying :)

Not working at the moment but taking Spanish lessons and hopefully will be able to work next year :)
Wow, Spanish seems so fast, I cannot imagine being able to follow it, so well done you.
Good luck with everything :)

Wondered if I could ask a couple of questions about Soap Boards ? When did it start, appears to be about 2005 seeing the start dates of long serving members ,who started it all off ?
Our lovely Admin started it off in 2005 after the board on the EE website closed. I just joined the EE boards when it was closing and came across this site and was so happy to join. Yes we started in 2005 Feb so our 9th anniversay is soon.I was pregnant at the time and apparently had the first recorded birth on the site

Many thanks Siobhan, and congrats on both counts.
Bloke in front of me in Sainsbury's offered me his vouchers for schools. Awkward...
